  1. The only criticism I have is more updates! Maybe you can get a doc to sign off on some sick leave and really get at it super excited to see this in its final stages. Great work!
  2. I have a BP Automotive harness, really good quality. Has all new connectors by Delphi and micro fuse block, relays etc. Price is also pretty darn good.
  3. Get out of Dallas! I prefer Fort Worth over Dallas proper. The Stock Yards in Fort Worth are pretty fun, lots to do, eat, drink, and see.
  4. Yeah from 9pm-630am is free. Daytime was like a cent more per kilowatt hour, but we save a bunch this way. I enjoy seeing the progress you guys all make...keeps me a little motivated
  5. Make her a targa lots of air to be had from above. I don't plan on running the heater, but sounds like at least a blower motor needs to be run.
  6. Haha, that is one of the many reasons to work at night for me. Cooler temps, electricity is free after 9 on our plan, and kids are sleeping your progress is looking good. Keep it up!
  7. I would say distance from tip to puddle. If you are waiting for it to feed back in, you are too far and your feed speed to slow. I find body position plays a huge part for me. If I am comfortable, I am able to focus on distance, travel speed and puddle manipulation. If I am not comfy, it all looks like chewed gum.
  8. Can't tell if serious I suppose after all the rust repair is done, engine and suspension back in, hopefully it would be many years before removing it again.
  9. FRP just released a price list in dollars the other day. The prices seem pretty cheap even given the conversion from pounds. I will have to dig it up. I know I saw fiberglass door panels for 189 for the pair.
  10. Coming along nicely! A thought on massaging the floors, maybe some self tapers trough the floor into the frame, then after all is tacked in, weld it up. Then you have a spot weld in the middle of the frame too. That's the silly idea I have in my noggin.
  11. I am about to do this same thing. My plan was to weld in a plate/pocket similar to stock, just more square. I was thinking of welding in an 1/8" plate that the crossmember will bolt to and sit under. A small notch cut into the tubing and sealed off with some welded in 16 gauge should be plenty strong.
  12. I have decided to run the oem ls1 camaro pump. Need to mod the top of the tank, but I think will be worth it in the end. No external regulator, has built in starvation solution and only requires one fuel line. a lot of the Nova and Chevelle guys use it on their non baffled tanks with no issues.
  13. That may be a good spot for some jb weld lol. Which headers do you have? Just wondering if I need to look at my JTR headers...
  14. Yeah, we had talked about that. Have yet to try it out though.
  15. That came out awesome! Man I love hybridz.org lol. Only on this site do people really push the envelope on everything.
  16. Yeah, I was backwards. LS engines have the thermostat on the lower portion of the water pump housing, that is the inlet from the radiator. Top hose to top port, bottom to bottom. Was thinking SBC where the thermostat is on top.
  17. I am actually going to try and streamline it some more, including the emblem relief. I will see what I can do. I am pretty decent with solid modeling, just need to keep it within the limits of the printer. ABS is just plastic, I use Bulldog adhesion promoter on plastic prior to priming and have never had an issue Painting.
  18. PROGRESS!! Ok, so we got it printed out, there are a couple different ways to do it. One was a supported method upside down, which is represented by the white one. The area where the supports were is a bit rough. WIth some sanding, I am sure it would smooth out. The gray one is an unsupported version which comes out much smoother. They were printed with ABS that he had on hand. Both of them fit very well into the steering wheel. They pop in and take a little finesse to get back out which I am sure is what is wanted. The prototype works though.
  19. Didn't see the picture last night, that is a beautiful water color! Talented young lady for sure.
  20. Congrats! My kids are still young (22 month old and atwo week old), but even the little crayon drawings make me smile. I am sure 25000 people will enjoy your child's creation
  21. Congrats on progress! Any reason you went 5th Gen pump/pickup versus 4th gen? I like the idea, kills a couple birds with one stone and eliminates the pump whine
  22. Ok, sorry for the delay. my wife had a baby, and the gentleman with the 3d printer appears to be a world traveler. the solid modeling is done, the file has been exported and awaits printing. We just finished finals today, so he said he will do it this Week. More to follow.
  23. Nice man, loving the album. I always forget to take pics as I go. Glad you don't do that, gives me some motivation to get out there and weld.
