  1. Agreed! The game seems to be a ricer's dream lol! I guess that's to be expected, seeing as how DUB has huge involvment in it. Ah well, it's still a great racing game and the mapping of L.A. is awesome. Anyone else playing this? Couple more (A little tribute to the forum):
  2. How many of you guys play Midnight Club LA (for PS3, XBOX360 etc.)? If you play, upload a game pic of your 1975 Datsun 280Z. (If you're not sure how to upload a pic from the PS3 PM me). Here's Mine. It's pretty much upgraded as far as possible performance wise. I refuse to put stickers or stupid lambo doors etc. on it. Tried to replicate mine as best I could, there isn't a G-Nose front end available or old Enkei 92's
  3. Unfortunately no. It's gonna be probably snowing and at minimum salty roads up here during march. I don't even drive it in the rain unless absolutely necessary (long road trip etc.) So yeah just drivin' one of the other cars down.
  4. Yeah i'm willing to take a full day trip drive away from there. The reason we're going is we have use of a friend's condo for free. I mean i'd love to go later in the year when it's warmer, but free oceanside accomodation i'm not gonna turn that down. I can't get the time off work any later so end of march it is.
  5. Hey, I'm gonna be touring down to Little River, South Carolina (sort of near Myrtle Beach) and i'm looking for suggestions on places to visit, tourist attractions, things to see and do, nice scenic drives. Whatever. Even if it's a bit more of a drive we're willing to day trip out of the way if it's worth doing/seeing and have even debated on maybe driving down to Florida for a night's stay while we're down there. Not going 'til March. So, anyone got any suggestions?
  6. Mine would be the 1991 Jeep YJ Renegade that I bought at 17. Kept amazing care of it, off-roaded it a lot but always took care to grease and fix it myself. A cab driver ran a red light at a blind intersection. I ran into him and bent/cracked the frame and shoved the driveshaft through the t-case. Insurance wrote it off, I bought it back and i'm using it for parts to build my 95YJ Project years later... (60,000km frame and drivetrain with a fiberglass tub etc. will be on 33's) I bought the Z in the middle of doing the YJ project. The garage can be an unruly place at times now.
  7. Looks like mine, I got lucky like that too. Good find!
  8. Less sex? I don't particularily like this theory.... Hrmmmm....
  9. Along with this Remember: It's a lot harder to find a 30+ year old car worth restoring than it is to find a new girl (for us younger guys anyway). She's gotta understand your hobbies and obsessions (take the good with the bad). Also, relationships are important and much like an old car need TONS of work and upkeep. If all you did was drive your Datsun then park it and ignore it, how long do you think it'd last? Think the same way with your relationships. I've been fortunate enough to find a girl who puts up with my Datsun and MANY Jeeps along with the time required to work on them. We spend a ton of time together as well though and have lived together for a year and a half. Still goin good.
  10. Needs a touch more "cup of antifreeze" if ya ask me...
  11. So where's the death part come into play?
  12. It was crappy up here too. Brutal, at least no one else was involved or hurt. Just your pride.
  13. I have those on the 260Z. Take the rubber boot and pull it back. There should be two screws securing the mirror to the door. Remove the mirrors, tighten the screw on the backside of the mirror once it's off the car (it holds the pivot point) and then mount them back on the car. I did that when I first got my Z, haven't had a problem since. Been months now, since July.
  14. Come onnnn you and I both know we'd still hit it!
  15. ^ Never said I wouldn't watch it, i'm looking forward to it actually. Just saying I personally wouldn't get excited over Paul Walker's return.
  16. Excited because Walker's back?? I always found the guy to be a brutal actor myself.... A pretty boy the chicks like that's just horrible at acting.
  17. Now question is, which do you prefer... White or Pink?
  18. No no, I fully understand that. It's great to see someone preserve the pedigree of this car and return it to its roots. It's always neat to follow up on old historic stuff too, just the figures always blow my mind what people are willing to pay for what is realistically rusty metal.
  19. Man the parking enforcement is rough in that neighbourhood.... ^ (and that's spelled right, neighbourhood has a U up here )
  20. I'm in the same boat here. Choke on, couple of shots with the pedal and it'll fire up even on the coldest fall day. It's a bit tempermental until warm but that's to be expected when it's chilly out.
  21. Wow. I think everyone wishes they could fall into money that easily. I know it's got heritage etc, but that sort of coin for cars like that blows my mind. It's still a rusty old tempest. I mean if it had sentimental value then cool, but I guess to some people with millions it's just a drop in the bucket. It'll be neat to see it restored and the full story though, quite a rich history there.
  22. I just came back up from the shop before I forgot: Approx 65" wide by 165" long **with g-nose front end and early 74 rear bumper (smaller). Hope this helps.
  23. I could measure mine but it's got a G-nose front piece. I'll post the measurement up later tonight if I remember to measure when i'm in the shop.
  24. Had that when I bought my Z. I changed the worn out strut rod bushings and it cured the problem. The driver's side was broken away pretty bad. Start there and then just work your way thorugh the suspension. It'll be a slight amount of movement that's being amplified at speed.
  25. How old is the paint? And is it clear coated? I was always under the impression that the worst thing you could do for it was to "wipe" any gas off. Just let it evaporate, but I could be wrong?
