  1. That size may fit, the R888s run fairly wide. Wheel is maybe a little more than an inch from the strut tube Had some spare time and some scrap metal.... So.... Made a front strut brace. The mount still need some final trimming and welding but its mostly finished. Still debating on whether to tie it back to the firewall, but I realize that is what will provide the most strength.
  2. Need the large bolt and washer that holds bushings in place on the inner control arm mounting point. Got one from 1 tuff Z , thanks folks!
  3. May want to bleed calipers off the mount. The bleeders should point up, not horizontal.
  4. Well, decided to stick with the wheels for a bit. Got tires mounted. 235/50/r15 Toyo Proxes r888 They are quite a bit shorter in overall diameter than my regular street tires. If I wanted to go any lower I would need to redo the back section of my exhaust. Need to track down some wheels for the front now.
  5. Haven't done much with the car other than drive it lately. Took it up to Oklahoma to visit a friend one weekend and it drove wonderfully. I've put 600 miles on the car since the speedo install. Picked up some wheels. Not exactly sure what I am going to do with them, but the price was right. 15x10 -29 enkei 92s The guy had these just sitting in storage for 17 years. One thing that was kind of neat is the valve stem caps even have Enkei on them. They were originally gold, but were painted over. I may just end up selling them, or throw something sticky on them.

  7. I bought a premade harness from PSI Conversions and wouldn't do it any other way. Mounted the PCM in the stock Datsun location as well. I'm not afraid of wiring or anything. I messed around with the body/chassis harness quite a bit, but wanted a quick, simple, and clean solution for the engine harness.
  8. thanks. It it chrome silver from a 350z
  9. Thanks, sorry for not answering before. I didn't do much with the old SBC in terms racing. I took it to the 1/8 mile one time and ran a 8.3 with a 2.1 60 ft. It had quite a bit left in it. Hopefully will be able to get a comparison pretty soon with the ls motor. Installed autometer speedometer in the stock gauge pod just like the tach that I already had.
  10. Finally bought a new filter and mounted it out in front of the radiator. Also went and got the car inspected today. The guy who was inspecting it was a bit perplexed when he wen to check the mileage.... no speedometer or odometer... so he put that the car has 5 miles lol... I have a new speedometer coming tomorrow. Couple Random pics of the car...
  11. Wilwood setup completely installed. Crappy pic, but shows new 1" Wilwood master cylinder and All stainless braided lines coming off the master and just the top of my proportioning valve along the firewall. Bulkhead "tee" connector through fender wheel to front left wheel. Also a pic of temporary location for Oil pressure gauge. Mechanical gauge, need to get a bulkhead connector route it back into the dash.
  12. Welp. I spun a couple bearings back in January..... the car sat for a while. I gathered some parts and now its is mostly all back together Picked up a new ls1. Its got a cam with supposedly only 35k miles on the motor. Installed it this past weekend Long block Ready to go in in Vroom. Drove it around the block on sunday ..... lots of vibration through the trans.... crap... pilot bearing was f'ed Got it home... yanked the motor on tuesday... replaced the pilot bearing... no shaft play on the trans...YAY.. put it back together... all is well again. in other news... got a JSk kit for 5 lug hubs from member on here. Still gathering some parts, but this is the rotor and caliper mocked up.

  14. Thanks New lug nuts. I had change my front studs out. Before I had 12x1.5 in the rear and 12x1.25 in the front. Used 1995 miata studs for the front to make it 12x1.5 all the way around.
  15. Finished up the passenger side and took a few more pics of the process... Taped off... rough mockup with sheet metal screws holding the flare in place... flare marked off.... quarter panel and inner fender well cut away. nut-serts installed as well. installed nut sert from the back side. Lots of tack welds... didn't take pics of seam sealer/prime and paint.... Done...
  16. i put mine in the stock 280z location and mounted the fuses/relays to the steering column/pedal box.
  17. 75% done... Still need to do the passenger quarter panel. the rear rubs pretty bad at this height, so ive already raised it up some.
  18. Rear tires mounted on wheels.... Mock up already cut out the quarter panel but still need to go back and weld it all up....
  19. No adapters... but I have Z31 front hubs. Z31 hubs push the wheel out about 3/4" from the stock 4 lug hubs. Stock stub axles in the rear. I have some 10mm spacers lying around that I could put behind the my front wheels(17x8.5 0) but mounted in the rear to give you an idea of the fitment for the rear.(would effectively be 17x8.5 -10)
