  1. good man, keep the blower going, can you turn it up anymore? once you get the sticky tires and drive it around a while, i think youll get bored.
  2. or ill find the link somewhere. you guys have to see it, its major street racing and sh1t talking from a TT Ls1 camaro dumpin on everything in sight, at least six different kills, its great.
  3. you ran 15psi on the hybrid turbo on stock injectors? man thats nuts, have you dynoed it, and do you know how high you are pushing the duty cycle? inquiring minds need to know. sounds great though, i had the same issues with my car recently, i was gettting stumbles, so i swapped out fpr, then i found out it was never fuel it was these bosch spark plugs, swapped those and fuel issue resolved. i once ran 100 psi on my injectors for two minutes, i thought it was way too much and didnt want to foul anything off, so i dropped it back down to 50, how does it run around town at 65? i run a bosch fuel pump from a 911 turbo and at 100 psi there was no stumbles, but i dont need that much, only running 10psi.
  4. well, then what are you gonna do? this is my take, you can take off the blower and drive the crap out of it, minus 200hp thats available at teh bottom or your foot anytime you want it- i would hate it after that, to be once again a civilian. you can flare it and have it all, zg or imsa whatever, or you can see what different compounds can do for you, but with that much power, drastic measures are in order for it to stick, and with the way it makes that power, its gonna take super sticky + wide compound for it to work, and i honestly dont believe your stock fenders are gonna be able to hold the amount of rubber you need. people may like the car as is, but they arent you, i like your car how it is, but if i had the traction issues like you havem, it would be my job to see i can get it to stick a whole lot better---AND I WOULD NEVER TAKE THE BLOWER OFF OR TURN DOWN THE BOOST. some people can say flares ruin a car, and some people say putting the sbc ruined your car in the first place, me im down with your car and the way you let it be known youre not a sunday driving import race car show rice rocket sucker-youre ok in my book, make it hook with the huffer man!
  5. you might be able to rig it, but man i know those motors are a lot of work to tear down, and i would hate to do it twice.
  6. you are talking about two different swaps here. a cross drilled version of the same solid rotor just uses the s128 toyota brakes, and is bolt on. vented rotors are thicker and need a spacer and different calipers to work right. depends on what you are doing. for a lot of stopping hard like auto x you want vented, it costs way more though, but worth. i ran the toyota brakes on a solid rotor and loved it, also ran metal master pads and never had a fade problem, will do it again once i destroy my bendix pads and cheapo rotors.
  7. my old dual su car with a four speed and 3.36 r180 got more than 22 mpg once we rebuilt the su's, and dropped in a 280zx electric ignition running 87 octane- cat pee.
  8. with my old setup, a 327/four speed, with 3.54 r200 rear gears, i think i was cruising freeway at 60mph@2200-2500 or something, it sucked, but driving it on the street was awesome. the aerodynamics were ok, fastest i ever went was about 125mph, which is nuts because my rpm in fourth was beyone redline for a minute or so, onlyu tried that one once.

my rear end says exit only. bolt on the mustache bar to diff bench press diff into tunnel while a friend guides it to the two long up and down mounting thread things and start threading them up doesnt take that long. hardest part i think is removing the exhaust.

    ACT clutch?

thanx guys, im ten minutes away from millbrae ill give them a call, this clutch of mine isnt gonna like 14 lbs of big turbo and hook im sure, man i miss my old v8 clutch, it was a high performance option clutch for ss396 camaros-that thing engaged visciously and hard no matter what i did to it.
  11. dynomat extreme on the tranny tunnel, floors, hatch, inner doors, and firewall-does wonders for roadnoise. . i have tinted windows, bought the car like that, and want to have them tinted again, they did a horrible job on the hatch window. i like it, keeps the sun out. a radio is a must i think for those long trips, get one.
  12. randy-havent met front clip man just ogled his front clips, we are mostly there at night, but i will ask him whats going on and what he can get, once i get ahold of him i will also ask about bov's and fmic's, i need some myself.
  13. nobody wants to see you take the blower off. cmon. flares man, some 16x13's out back with slicks, and make that blower setup work for you man!!!
  14. you dont have to run a spacer, i dont have one, but then you do have to do two things, first you you have to run a throttle cable or modify the heck out the ball rod linkage, and you have to take the cover off the tps, which is also iffy, you have to clean it way more often than usual. thats what i did, and 60mm here we go.
  15. i like that big oval tubing, man that turbo is maino.

if you have a friend to bolt the mustache bar to the unit frame while you bench press it into place, it shouldnt take more than 3 hours, with beer, trash talk, and woman gawk.
  17. i think you need these, youll be able to put it all to the ground then and turn like a champ. http://zparts.com/showcase/datfest99/99r8f03_m.jpg but if you dont want to flare, i can understand, having spend all that time and effort on those rear quarters, but man youve got a lot of power and drive your car like a madman, i think youre at the power point where you cant hide behind that stock body any longer, youre just denying yourself the true potential of your car, but then again i like watching you get rubber in third without clutch doggage. flarem...
  18. that cam could be either the old 327-350hp vette cam, or the saturday night special off road cam, both were gm parts counter cam upgrades for a time when there wasnt too much else in the way of cam specs. both of them are solid lifter cams, and since they came out there is million different and better grinds to choose from. theres a million different choices, depending on what you want to do with the motor and where you will be driving it of course.
  19. stock specs on the camaro 327 67 are 275hp@5800 355lbs@3200 i used to have a 67 327 in my z and thats about what i had it putting down to the wheels with a lot of aftermarket love, those were very overated numbers from the factory. but those small journal blocks are very strong, forged bottom end and forged steel crank, makes for a great foundation to start throwing power at. i would just get a set of vortec heads and a lumpstick and im thinking 300hp is cake.

    ACT clutch?

looking at clutches, mine is giving me hints that if turn up the juice, she gonna fail me. looking at act clutches right now, anyone have any experience with them? ive heard mixed reactions with centerforce, never had one, but i heard they are pretty good from some people and bad from some others. always been a fan of really stiff clutch feeling and solid engagement, four or six puck fellas?? also wondering if i have to install a new pilot bearing as well? man...
  21. i heard you can just run it how it is with a small holley regulator, its the 79 i think, it has a four barrel carb.
