  1. Watching ESPN or ESPN2 yesterday around 2pm yesterday on a "lunch/meeting" and caught part of a (i think) Valvoline oil commercial and the guy had what looked like 2-240z's in his driveway, showing an under the hood shot of one while he was either checking the oil or filling it. One white, one orange. I was just glancing at the TV while trying to hold a decent conversation, basically why i don't know all the details. It looked like the Great Outdoor Games where on when the commercial aired - women log rolling, log running(?), quad racing... Just wondering if anyone else saw this or did that 3rd gimlet make me hallucinate the whole thing??? lol.
  2. Congrats Mike. Sweet truck. Good luck with it.
  3. HAAaaaaaaaaahaha. Amazing how dumb some people can be. It actually seems like they try to be that dumb. hahaaa. Funny.
  4. Looks like the L6 Turbo's are going to win this as well
  5. Get behind the wheel of a big rig and smash the living sh*t out of his daily driver. Then ask him if he thinks this will cause him any problem for the next two weeks!!! Ok, ok... seriously now, I think i would contact the police to make sure they had some kind of report about the incident on file. It IS their fault that you have nothing to drive and they have insurance just for that reason. I would get on the phone with my insurance agent to see if i had rental coverage and also make sure that the idiot owner would pay for all rental fees incurred for the amount it takes him to fix it. Once he knows that each day is costing him another day of rental, it may magically get done quicker. I would also have a few bodyshops that i KNOW do good work, look at the car and give you an estimate, then see if you have the right to take it to someone YOU trust, rather then making it HIS choice. What happens when you get your Z back and there's puddy 4-5" deep on your quarter because the guy told the bodyman to just slap it together because he didn't want to pay a lot of money for the repair? Another thing i would do is note what the odometer reads while it's at his shop. Lastly, once this is all over, i suggest you find yourself a new mechanic. This guy sounds like a real @ss. Just some quick ideas... good luck!
  6. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Did you ask how they possibly put a 6-8" dent in the rear quarter while your Z was in the shop??? Or was someone driving it around without you knowing and screwed up? I don't think i'd be so understanding as you sound. You're a better man. Good luck with your misfortune.
  7. Both my cousin and i are running 3" all the way back to a Dynomax Bullet w/perforated tube inside (basically straight through) On my Z with the stock T3, it sounds pretty good, throaty, not loud and you can really hear it spool even with just a little throttle. On my cousins Z with the same exhaust setup and his T3/T4, it's much louder. A bit more than what i'd want for a daily driver. I'm not sure if the Ultra Flow's with the baffle and glass wrap inside help the sound level but, if they do and you've upgraded your T, i would think that would be the way to go. Just my .02
  8. Thanks for the additional pics EZ. Sorry i didn't respond earlier, i never got the notification that you replied. Very nice job on the exhaust.
  9. Sounds and looks mechanical to me too Mat. Also how they showed the left front end seperated from the Z and how he was downshifting to slow it down. Would love to know what they were saying. That Hydro-Foam boat/plane/car thingabob is cool. My son would love it. Oh yeah, me too I went to the site but they don't have plans or kits made up yet. It is very cool. Now if it could look a little more like a Z...
  10. I'm afraid you'd hold me to my 1.2mil bid Rick! lol. Amazing, right after i get done viewing that auction, i get a spoof email from a Murray F. Bowers.... ***Urgent Safeharbor Department Notice*** eBay Fraud Mediation Request Date: Jun 2005 2005 You have received this email because you or someone had used your account to make fake bids at eBay. For security purposes, we are required to open an investigation into this matter. I've notified Ebay about this and the scam on your Z Rick. They may not be selling your Z but they're using your picture without authorization. I wish i did live close enough to knock on his/her door. Maybe i could just email them a token of appreciation, with an nice big malicious virus attached of course
  11. Rick, want me to place a bid, get in contact with this SOB then hunt him/her down? Unreal.
  12. Haven't been to the track yet this year.. just dying for competition i guess... LOL
  13. Maybe it's Scottie-GNZ's new project???
  14. Thanks guys. Love to fish, i just never get enough time now-a-days to get out as much as i want. That was the first charter i've ever taken (usually go out in my own boat) but decided to let someone else take care of all the hassle and sit back, drink a beer, smoke a cigar and fish. We usually catch Striper around 18-25lb when they're running in Sandy Hook but i've never locked into one that size which was around 40lbs or so. My cousin, that had chartered the boat, took the picture and i emailed it into Noreast mag just as a goof to see if it would get published inside. Basically, he said it would never happen, and that's really why i did sent it in (admit i have a problem with someone telling me i cant do something or it will never happen ) It just so happens they used it as the cover! lol. Burned him up good Not a big deal since it's not like Field-N-Stream but, still pretty funny.
  15. Hey Mike... finish a project lately??? LOL. j/k
  16. Well, it had nothing to do with my Z but... here's me >>> CLICKHERE
  17. EZ, was it real tight to get the 3" pipe to clear everything over the crossmember without rubbing? I'd like to see some more pics of that if you ever get the chance to snap some. That would really help some ground clearance issues i have. Damn speed bumps. lol. Congrats on the 3". Here's a shot of mine from a while back...
  18. Free Friend of mine is buying a new house and having real lifts installed and offered me this. Not nearly as nice as the hydrolic units but, the price was right!
  19. Congrats Sims. Glad it's working for ya. 2-3" from the floor is a pretty far leg throw, no? I think i'm going to get the 7/8" Tilton to make it a quicker release and, i'm having another issue with the stock/newer MC now... with the increased pedal pressure of the ACT PP, when i'm holding the pedal down for a little bit, i think the fluid is passing by the MC plunger and the slave starts releasing slowly which starts engaging the clutch by itself. I dont think my stock MC is stong enough to hold the ACT PP's pressure. Hopefully the Tilton has a stronger seal. You may want to try that before you return the Tilton. Clutch in until it disengages, put it in gear and just hold the pedal steady for a little bit to see if the MC can hold the pressure. And what video??? Pass it on Loose!
  20. If so and you have some pics of your Z with this type of wheel on it, please post a pic or you could email them to me if that makes it easier. Thanks in advance. Jersey@cptclabs.com
