About a month ago my L28ET motor cracked it's crank damper on the keyway. It was due to the bolt loosening up. I had my old L28 laying there so I borrowed the L28 crank damper and installed it. The L28 damper is about 3/4" smaller in diameter and lighter than the L28ET one. Should I be shopping for a new L28ET damper or will the L28 sufficiently dampen vibration for an L28ET street motor (5700 rpm redline). I know Nissan made the L28ET damper larger for a reason but I know they also designed pretty large safety factors into most of their stuff. Anyone with this experience?
BTW, I noticed no difference in the way the motor ran after swapping the pulleys.
