  1. From the album: Shaved 3 Bolt Thermostat Housing

Upper and Lower. Lower is in a satin black, while the upper is in a high gloss.
  2. From the album: Shaved 3 Bolt Thermostat Housing

Before and After comparison. Definitely looks a lot cleaner than it's stock counterpart here.
  3. I believe those details are found in the 'Head cooling on cylinder #5' thread?
  4. I picked up a used Tegris NASCAR splitter for under $50 shipped. It will require some trimming to make it work on the narrower Z, but it should work great when done. I'm planning on using some rubber impregnated cloth connected along the trailing edge to make an under tray of sorts. My main concerns were cost and ease of replacement, not weight like yours however.
  5. Don't dismiss them right off! One of my neighbors has a GC and I can't help eye those shiney Brembos every time I walk out. They just might fit with some work, and considering you've already got them...
  6. I've already got a sensor for MS to reference. I'm wanting to keep the radiator fans compartmentalized, and given that the rear of the head runs hot this seemed like the best place to use.

Anybody care to guess how much a shim costs? No inflation or exchange rate worries here!

    Vintage HKS Diverter Valve

Here are a few photos of my old HKS diverter valve. I am still currently trying to determine if the flange is a standard item still used today, or if it is proprietary to this particular style of valve (I'm needing one in SS). I am also still trying to source a replacement diaphragm in the event this one decides to crap out on me. The joys of using outdated and obscure parts! I haven't been able to dig up a part no. for this thing either. If someone happens to have some old literature or anything that gives a part no. for this part I would be very appreciative! I plan to eventually have it powder coated (leaving the lettering bare) to match a few other odds and ends I've got underhood...

Close up of the 'guts'. It's fairly simple to shim this thing with pocket change!
  10. From the album: Vintage HKS Diverter Valve

Completely disassembled. Nice and simple, just how I wanted it.
  11. From the album: Vintage HKS Diverter Valve

Main body. I've been working on cleaning up all the small casting imperfections on this part (the top was much cleaner/smoother) before it gets sent out for PC.

The complete valve, in all it's simple understated glory!

    Weber "Big Throat" Throttle Body

A few close up photos of the Weber "Big Throat" throttle body (Redline Kit No. TB280). This throttle body has been modified to use the 240sx throttle position sensor as opposed to the s30/S130's throttle position switch (Thanks to member Cockerstar for doing the work on this one!), and will also be converted to use a throttle cable (Thanks to member NCchris for the billet wheel you see here) as opposed to the standard linkage. Literature for this part can be found on Xenons130's page in the 'Reference' page.
  14. From the album: Weber "Big Throat" Throttle Body

View 1 of the billet cable conversion arm. This part will eventually be polished and anodized or possibly powdercoated.
  15. From the album: Weber "Big Throat" Throttle Body

Another view of the 240sx TPS modification.
  16. From the album: Weber "Big Throat" Throttle Body

Here you can see the stock arm, as it comes from Weber (intended for use with the stock linkage)
  17. From the album: Weber "Big Throat" Throttle Body

Here you can see where the 'D' shaft that provides a reference for the throttle switch has had additional provisions added to allow the 240sx sensor to be bolted on. The shaft fit the 240sx sensor perfectly without modification.
