Took the Sti offroading, doesn't look as dirty in the pictures as it actually it is!

Every time I get stuck somewhere while working on the Z, and need a breather the STI is more than willing to provide! 30K on the clock, plenty of off roading, dune cruising and canyon shredding with nary a whimper of protest! This car was made to be driven hard! S# all day, every day! ...Also, I need to do a brake job and get new tires...

Older pic of the STI after some muddy doughnuts! Mudflaps work suprisingly well!

  6. Sounds good, let me know.
  7. I've got one I won't be using, shoot me a PM with your address and I'll get you a quote!
  8. RB26powered74zcar, how did you get the tube out of the block? I'd like to avoid chewing up the side of the tube... Ghettodeffender, I've got one like what you posted (straight, non-teed). Not sure if it makes a difference to you. I'm actually looking to get a teed version like RB26', so I'll match whatever he quotes you and buy his after I ship yours!
  9. I plan on using a clear film from 3M, but I also plan on painting mine... not sure if it would work on a gel coat? I've got one of their pre-cut kits on my STI and it still looks good after many offroad excursions!
  10. How to make your own fuel rail, including the measurements for stock L6 intake manifolds can be found in the Fabrication/Welding sub forum; O-Ring Fuel Rail Fabrication
  11. I might have one for you, and I'm sure we could work out a trade for something!
  12. +1, If you don't need the manifold right away ask them if they can wait until they have a batch of items ready to bake, and if they can lower the price accordingly. I've gotten lower prices this way; when they know they can hold your items and do all the prep work in-between the 'real' jobs it sometimes makes them more agreeable! There are powder coaters on this forum who may be able to give you a better deal, even with shipping included!
  13. It is; Arita Speed FRP S30 Aero parts ...In Japan of course!
  14. You should make the 'Burnin Betty' part of your sig a link to the YouTube video You've inspired me to buy a much bigger in car extinguisher than I had originally planned...
  15. Can I send mine and just get a credit towards whatever the final product is going to be? ...or are you making some sort of car-art?
  16. Just do like THIS car and call it a day.
  17. Sounds like you're living the life! PM on its way!
  18. ...Kind of like how people seem to think my Subaru has a Porsche engine
  19. Found THIS completely by accident, but it was the one I was initially thinking of! Looks pretty slick
  20. Subaru 'Satin White Pearl' is very nice; Get a quality job done though, the factory paint is VERY thin and chips easily, so go a little thicker!
  21. Half of the reason for switching to the 240sx throttle body is to have a throttle position sensor when using an aftermarket EMS. If you are keeping the factory EMS you'll have to keep the factory throttle position switch. If you remove the plastic cover from your original TB's switch you might be able to drill some holes in the metal backing in-line with the 240sx' mounting points. I'm not sure what sort of clearances you'll have when it comes to putting the cover back on... Maybe someone could offer an easier solution, but as I said most people are upgrading both the TB and TPS simultaneously. Edit: Looks like Loy has the better solution!
  22. Have you considered just sticking with the Euro-spec cooler and installing a temp sender and gauge for extra insurance for your LSD? Seems to me like a much more reasonable/affordable option when compared to upgrading components which likely won't be taxed in the first place .
  23. This one? Edit: Looks like you even posted on the last page of the thread!
