From the album: Weber "Big Throat" Throttle Body
Top view (Coming from intake piping) -
Thanks for the advice, however neither way displayed the 'Create New Album' button until I made a donation and fell under the Donating Members classification again. Not sure if this is intentional, but this seem to be one of the privileges that is locked to normal accounts? Might be worth annotating the 'Updated Donation Information' announcement thread, as it only mentions increased photo size allowances as a Donating Members perk. I had been meaning to donate for a while now, so this gave me the perfect excuse. Thanks again!

Bump! Still haven't figured out how to create a new album! If I go through the main Album tab and click 'upload' when it gets to the point to select an album, I am only given the option to choose from albums I've already created (at this point only one of my non-Z daily driver). If i go through 'My Gallery' I am only shown this same album, or the images that I've upload that are in the general picture cache (the one everyone shares). I would really like to start cataloging some of the photographic progress on my Z, but I don't want to just throw the pictures out there haphazardly... This is the same on Safari, Chrome and IE! Any help? Is this a donating member option only, I know I've seen a few people with multiple albums?

I'm curious where he got that A/C bracket and what compressor it's holding. Looks a whole lot cleaner and lighter than any factory option.

Already sold him one a while back, not sure why this thread got bumped...

P90 CHTS Port + Volvo/BMW E-Fan setup
LanceVance replied to LanceVance's topic in Ignition and Electrical
I'm not sure what the off temp is, but as for right now my lowest option is the 180°/195° option (based on the sensor I'd like to use). -

P90 CHTS Port + Volvo/BMW E-Fan setup
LanceVance replied to LanceVance's topic in Ignition and Electrical
I'm using a Volvo dual fan relay. It's one of the more documented ways to control the Taurus E-fan and the like... -

Any progress on the 2+2 panels?

I personally think a single gauge centered between the tach and speedo would be best.
-
How about a steering column clamshell with a gauge provision? I'm game to donate, just PM me the details.

81 280zx turbo parts car: What's worth saving?
LanceVance replied to 1984rampage's topic in S130 Series - 280ZX
If you don't plan on using the 81's crank trigger system (Pulley with trigger wheel, sensor and bracket) I'd be interested in picking it up. -
If you zoom in close enough, it appears to be a concave cut running along the top side. Looks to be a little deep on the sides though, probably more than five inches...
-
As per Texas DPS: (A) The AS-1 area is the portion of the windshield based on driver seating configuration where the driver must have forward visibility. ( The windshield may also have a glazing shade band for driver comfort. This shading band is generally above the AS-1 area. © An AS-1 line indicator, if present, denotes the boundary of the AS-1 area and the shading band. If the AS-1 line indicator is not present, generally, the shade band should not extend further than approximately five inches from the top of the windshield. Insert witty segue back to topic... Car looks great Ryan! What are your future plans for it?

What to do when your s30 hood release cable breaks!
LanceVance replied to 1 tuff z's topic in Miscellaneous Tech
Aerocatch hood pins (or any generic hood pins) would be the easy way to ensure it never happens again. If you don't want visible hood pins I'm sure you could put a gas door style push latch on the inspection lids, and fabricate some hood latches that would be accessible through them. You'd obviously have to trim the lip that the hood goes over, but that's easily done! -
Loving the pie-cut piping, definitely gives the engine bay a professional all business look to it!

I've been looking at a few different ways to hook up my Volvo Relay / BMW Sensor / E-Fan set up and I've settled on using the CHTS port on my P90 head, as opposed to the thermostat housing. Beforehand, I'd like to ask a few questions in an attempt to avoid any unforseen complications: 1.) The CHTS port is M10x1.5 I believe, and the sensor I'm planning on using is M14x1.5; will there be enough material here to drill and tap to that size? 2.) The sensor I'm planning on using is typically in a wet port; will it give accurate readings in the P90's dry port? 3.) If the sensor will give good readings, would it benefit from some sort of thermal grease (think heatsink grease) being put into the port before installing the sensor? 4.) Which temperature ratings (low/high fan speed) would be more appropriate for a modified (shooting for around 300HP) L28ET; 180/195 °F or195/210 °F? Thanks in advance!

Metro, Very clean install! I may have to look into this, definitely a lot less work than the flywheel setup I was working on... -
I bought this Tegris splitter from a shop that sells used NASCAR parts. It's too long, but It'll trim down!

SCCA, You've got a PM. Robin, Found this for you, check out post #18. I would personally make something more sturdy, but it illustrates how simple the piece is. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/86623-crazyoctopus-1972-240z-build-up-long-first-post/ -
