  1. That would be member 'Beau M's Z (Same username as the Mustang forum I believe?); if you search by his member name he has a build thread showing the whole process of Reworking the valance.
  2. For some time I've been looking for a decent looking fog light option for my S30. The front end (planning on running a Type-1 Air dam) really doesn't lend itself to extra lighting unless you want to fill up the brake air ducts (which I don't). The other day however, I saw a very promising, readily available possibility! The old rental car standby, the Saturn ION. Factory 240Z front indicators: Factory (2005) Saturn ION fog lights: I plan on running headlights with integrated turn signals, so I've got that covered and have the space now for these... Problem is, I've got a 280z so I don't have any 240z lenses to use for comparison! Might have to shop for some ratty 240z units...
  3. ryant67, Very sharp looking Z! I'm curious however; what is the purpose of the brackets you've got your strut bar attached to?
  4. I've already got some Z32 seats waiting to be installed... That said, I always keep my eye out for some MKII GTI VW Recaros to pop up locally. Might justify a change in plans?
  5. They are Recaro Classic model 'C', an aftermarket dealer option on various European cars during the late 70's early 80's. Top of the line, no doubt; I would love to get my hands on some vintage Recaro goodness!
  6. Both use real CF; they wrap and vacuum bag the original part, infuse with resin and then clear coat. No fake vinyl 'CF look' stuff here... ...No weight savings either however: Creating molds and making true CF replacements is an awfully expensive proposal...
  7. I know of two; haven't used either, I've only made some inquiries with them (thinking of getting my rear view mirror wrapped). Carbon Fiber Elements Custom_cf@yahoo.com - Tony Carbon Effects wrapping@rogers.com - Bill Do some Google searches, and you should find some examples of their work fairly easily.
  8. But his contact info is still out there! Phone: (619) 328-0264 1143 Flamingo Ave, El Cajon, CA 92021 www.zraceproducts.com Not sure how current this info is however...
  9. So... Group buy? I think my wife would be more forgiving of my car hobby if I could fab up stuff like this for her!
  10. Ever since the recent hack/malware incident (Thanks Dan for all the hard work fixing that!) and subsequent site update I haven't been able to find the option to create a new album? I typically use IE8 or Chrome on my phone, and haven't been able to find the option on either browser. Is this just me or are we now stuck with only the albums we've created before the update? Thanks in advance! P.S. Also, the new insert link button only seems to paste in the entire web address instead of allowing us to have a single word or phrase as a clickable link... Seems kind of pointless now? I've been able to paste in the old HTML to add links, but it can be a little tedious on a 4" touchscreen!
  11. Possibility 1: Autozone and the like are selling the 7/8 MC as a replacement for the 15/16 unit - Unlikely Possibility 2: Someone upgrading turned their 7/8 MC in for the core - Very likely! Have you considered swapping your booster and MC with those found in the later ZX? Seems people have been doing that ever since the 79-81 MC supply started drying up...
  12. Have any pictures of what you're needing exactly? I'm going to be converting from auto to manual on my 75', perhaps we could work out a straight trade for the pedal boxes and something small for my auto shifter assembly? I've already got the manual shifter...
  13. Rayaapp2, Thank you for posting the pictures! I was considering doing some custom baffle work on my regular pan, but considering how easy it would be to put some trap doors on each of those protrusions I may just have to track one of these down first...
  14. I searched and couldn't find anyone who actually has used the industrial LD28 rear sump oil pan (see picture). Reason I ask is I've noticed a number of forklift junkers near one of the junkyards I frequent while searching for Z parts (some of whom even advertise selling Datsun parts). Seems like it might be worth scouring through if I can get the more desirable LD parts at a decent price; beforehand, however I've got a few questions for anyone who may have used/gotten a good look at one of these: Is the sump a 100% bolt on fit in the S30 chassis (I've read a few TonyD posts saying it is, though no references to anyone actually using it)? What kind of increased oil capacity does the hammerhead style pan actually offer (if any)? Will the regular L28 oil pickup tube work, or is the LD28 tube required? Is the pan the same depth as the regular S30 pan, or is the hammerhead set up used merely to increase capacity of a shallow pan due to space constraints? Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some insight!
  15. Care to post up a picture? I'm curious to see how it's mounted...
  16. Here are the pictures: Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
  17. Pretty sure I've got one, I'll try and dig it up tomorrow and send you some pictures.
  18. You may be thinking of a thread I started a while back. Unfortunately the labeled picture was for a two bolt housing, not the three bolt which he appears to be using. Here is the link anyhow, perhaps some part of it may help! Thermostat Housing Sensor Questions PS: Those three bolt housings can clean up pretty nice!
  19. I second that! I've got a nice billet piece to cover the dizzy hole as I was planning on using a crank trigger wheel, but this is looking more and more appealing...
  20. If you click her name it takes you to her blogger profile, and includes her E-mail... Why not drop a line and see if she wants to join and show off her S30 here?
  21. I was trying to avoid just pasting the whole address, I guess I should have been more specific and said it won't let me embed a link!
  22. Have you read the post titled "Spray bar MIA"? For $150 you can get a billet aluminum piece. I would link to it, but this new layout won't let me...
  23. I'm going to use AutoMeters all around, so I removed mine; here is a picture of the unit removed from the dash if that helps at all. Can't say I've ever heard of one seizing up, but taking it off and cleaning it up never hurts!
  24. No doubt! My 620 will be getting a pair just as soon as I start working on it.
  25. I got a good look at a new Fiat 500 the other day and it reminded me of this thread. Anybody have one and care to take some measurements? I like the idea of proper projector HIDs with an integrated blinker wrapped up in a nice angled housing; not to mention they have a nice blacked out version for some of the upper trimmed models.
