  1. Well I know if I start a thread and I unsurscribe to the Hybridz email notifications (I used to get a lot and it cluttered my inbox) I would have no idea if someone posted in my thread or not unless I checked. Most likely he just forgot about this thread. Just PM the guy directly. It has been a year or two since he started the thread as well.
  2. The second picture is of the right way, You want the smaller thinner end down.
  3. I'm not sure about the cap you have but Clear caps for VW's suck and aren't worth the cool factor. But otherwise interesting find.
  4. I have found out if you are searching threads and you are currently in a thread you have searched and searched for new keywords, it will search the thread you were just in, Just search again and it will bring up the new results. Its a handy tool if you are looking for keywords in a thread and don't want to read through tons of posts.
  5. I thought it was tapered end down, because I'm pretty sure they are supposed to fit inside the strut hat, This is how the stock ones are installed I believe tapered end down.
  6. Doesn't MSA make CF hoods? EDIT: Just looked, Looks like they don't anymore.
  7. You will need a 240mm flywheel with the 240mm clutch, The best thing to do to make sure about the size of the flywheel from rockauto, etc. would be to call them and make sure, Yeah it might suck and take a while to call them but it is worth making sure you get the right flywheel.
  8. I believe it has been done with a 16x9 and stretched tires, It's hard to say if you would have rubbing issues or not on your LCA's as well. You could probably do it but it would be a lot easier if you just went with ZG flares or some other flares. You may also have issues with the tire rubbing with the inside of the wheel well if you run the car too low. Running with a 6" backspacing to be safe (not sure if you figured your backspacing with the suspension compressed or not) You could run a +25 offset at a 9 inch wide wheel. The difficult part is if a 40 profile tire on a 17 would rub in the wheel well when you hit a bump unless you raise the height on your coilovers. I believe they make a few 17x9 wheels with +25 offset and you could always run a small spacer which could be dangerous depending on your driving style. Since you have coilovers you could probably do it if you have the money to get the right wheels and tires.
  9. Is it rust or something? I would think you should be able to beat the dents out pretty good with a hammer and bag to avoid using too much bondo.
  10. I do these things everyday at work (I work at Discount tire). I'm thinking it would be pretty difficult to do these things yourself, but those prices are pretty ridiculous. We dismount old tires of rims for anyone for free I'm pretty sure. It also helps to know the guy's there or make friends with someone who works at a tire shop. I just got 4 new tires for my Dodge Colt vista for $243 but like I said I work at a tire shop. Also like Jon said, a static balance isn't as good as a dynamic balance and we usually only do a static balance on very heavy wheels or very large wheels such as offroad tires/wheels where it won't matter as much. Also if you wanted to save money, I don't know about your shops but we have Unit's (which is where we sell tires and make money blah blah blah) and Labor which is stuff like rotations, balancing, flat tires etc. We do flat tires and RBA's (rotate balance air) for free at discount tire (don't know if you have one where you live.) but if you wanted too you could just install the tires yourself and have them balanced for free as I'm not sure at the moment if we charge to put tires on rims if you already have tires. but I think it would be considered a bolt on or a snow change for us. Also you should put new valve stems in the rims as well because they get old and crack and can cause leaks as well.
  11. Read this before you do anything. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/95316-braaps-l6-efi-induction-advice-and-tips/
  12. There is a ignition relay up under the dash on the passenger side. They usually go bad and that is most likely the click you are hearing. You can modify a relay from another car or something or just wire up a push button start. If you search the forum I'm betting you will find what you need to do.
  13. Any thoughts or comments on how the tire/wheel combo is working out on the street? also how much did the 16x10 DRW's Cost?
  14. I good selection of 16" tires and wheels and some more 2+2 aftermarket pieces.
  15. It's only a matter of time before there is a energy drink called Tiger Blood and everyone says "Winner".
  16. I already answered your question in your other thread, there is no need to double post plus it is against the rules.
  17. Take a hacksaw take the blade off put the hacksaw back together with the blade inside the control arm. Make 2 cuts opposite of each other and then pound them out.
  18. If your running a stock EFI system instead of Megasquirt or something else your Fuel pressure should be around 32-36 PSI IIRC but you should check a FSM for the year EFI system you have on the car.
  19. Some XXR 513's 16x8. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/87905-finally-some-pics-of-the-xxr-513-that-actually-look-good/page__p__833800__hl__%2Bxxr+%2B513__fromsearch__1#entry833800 More pictures of the XXR 513's http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/63038-new-8-spokes-xxr-513/page__st__40__p__786988__hl__%2B16x8+%2Brota__fromsearch__1#entry786988 Some pictures of 16x7 Konig Rewind's, (they come in 14x7,15x7,and 16x7) http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/73122-konig-rewind-16x7-zero-offset-tires-help/page__p__695446__hl__%2Bkonig+%2Brewind__fromsearch__1#entry695446 Diamond Racing Wheels also makes some steel wheels for pretty cheap in 16x8 or 16x10 (Not very many street tires this size) Plus they can be pretty heavy, not sure on exact weights. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/98048-diamond-racing-rims-on-a-zxactually-on/page__p__920338__hl__%2B16x8+%2Bdiamond+%2Bracing__fromsearch__1#entry920338 Some Sportmax 002 wheels. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/54663-sportmax-wheels-are-on/page__p__494638__hl__%2Bkonig+%2Brewind__fromsearch__1#entry494638 There are others out there but these are the most common that I know of.
  20. Are you using the stock EFI system? IIRC I don't think a stock EFI can handle a Aftermarket cam. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/95316-braaps-l6-efi-induction-advice-and-tips/page__view__findpost__p__896700
  21. I would wire in a fuse, I have no idea what type of fuse would be good, I put a smaller fuse on mine but I would consider wiring in a fuse on one of those wires.
  22. Those white wires are pretty much the power supply to your ECU, glad you figured it out though. Its always nice to work on your car and fix it yourself, sense of accomplishment I guess.
  23. Well by refering to the chart I posted earlier and knowing that the backspacing for a S30 with stock suspension needs to be 4.5" a 8.5 with +35 offset will not work. Most positive offset wheels are made for FWD cars, while our RWD cars are set up for more negative offset when you get wider wheels. Almost any wheel you find that would be a positive offset will not work at all or may be able to work with spacers if you want to use those, but those can be unsafe, so its up to you on using them.
