  1. That's pretty awesome. Now I just need the quality of my welds to match the quality of those parts. 😄
  2. That is actually a much better price than I was expecting. Is that just for the machining or machining+material?
  3. Is there any appreciable difference between an aluminum vs steel balancer in a (mostly) street turbo car? There is a 3# weight penalty, but that might not be a bad thing. Anyone with experience with either? Price is the same for both. http://harmonicdampers.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=74_10
  4. Thanks Kevlars, I'll hit them up. Did you have a specific person you dealt with?
  5. Has anyone dealt with these people? They are local to me so it would be a lot easier to deal with. http://www.jdmcaliforniamotors.com
  6. If a Bob Sharp valvecover goes for 1k, how much does a whole car go for? Never mind the fact that's the Paul Newman car. If only I had that kind of loot. https://www.motorcarclassics.com/1979-datsun-280zx-paul-newman-championship-racecar-c-191.htm
  7. Thanks for posting those pics! Did you remove the impeller on the stock water pump? What kind of numbers were you putting down, that motor looks like a serious piece of kit.
  8. I don't know if this person is a member here, but I found this video last night randomly. My only question is the height of the tube in relation to the thermostat. Won't this make it very difficult to bleed all the air out of the system?
  9. I was comparing this plenum upper to the senza pari intake I have and noticed they are about the same length. If the welds on the plenum of my intake go, I may try to make an adapter for this. I wonder if its width would create dead zones however. Part here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-300-232
  10. Are there any other places to find these? Rocky Auto has been out of them for years now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aisin-WPN-079-Engine-Water-Pump-Engine-Water-Pump-New/322417313113
  11. Got my box from the post office today. I guess they decided not to take me off of my mail hold I put on. Looks great Warren! Thanks again for making these parts available. I'll need to find a powder coater now...
  12. I've talked to that shop on the phone and they have said they worked on L's in the past. I was just wondering if anyone has had any first hand experience. I wanted a local place in the event i find some "mystery machining" later on the engine. I've seen EPR's site before, I believe their owner was the one that bought Nissan's old Electramotive VG30 engine. If I were building a VG they definitely would be the ones I would call.
  13. I've been thinking of using them for my engine build. Anyone have any experience with them? I know Robellos has a great rep, but I wanted a place thats a little more local to me (socal). I've heard some good things about JMS but wanted to see if any members had any direct experience in regards to an L build. http://jmsracingengines.com/
  14. Sent you an email but just responding here to make sure. I would like mine raw/unfinished as well. Thanks!
  15. That is an ingenious use of a chop saw. How did you chamfer the end of the stub axle?
  16. Great looking product. Wouldn't that make the car really rear weight biased (with transaxle only not the pic where the engine is attached to it)?
  17. Hey is it too late to jump on this buy? Any chance of getting a late add on? I am a repeat customer!
  18. These guys constantly amaze with their builds. http://lescollinsracing.com/engine/projects-engine/l-series-4v
  19. Found this article today. Supposedly fits. And it's blue. Wonder how it compares to the MSA header in performance. http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/product-guide-trust-racing-exhaust-manifolds-for-s30-zs-and-kenmeri-skylines/ Available here. http://revmatch.net/product/trust-greddy-tr-na-ex-manifold-datsun-z-69-78/
  20. Ah thanks! Hopefully I can get this thing buttoned up.
