  1. Haven't heard anything new for about a week.
  2. CB, The head is no good also. Melted chamber and valves in cylinder 5. Not my motor but I did the diag. Joe
  3. I'm hoping they are finished soon myself. Boxes of stereo stuff waiting for them to arrive!
  4. NY brothers using logic on Hybrid?? What is this, 2004?? Great work guys. I like the discussion element that is now being included.
  5. Most times you will never regret the things you do, just the things you don't do.
  6. Anthony, I just checked out your Car domain page. All I can say is ho lee sh eet!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Well she runs! Doesn't idle yet because I think the throttle body is closed completely. Shouldn't be too hard to get that squared away. Supra, I'm all the way down to 56 as a constant and still have the trim pulling another 17% to get a smooth idle with my foot holding the throttle open to keep 750rpm. Dave, no wideband hooked up. Doing all of this by feel at the moment. I would keep going but now I have to clean up the 5 quarts of oil on the ground from an oil filter that wasn't seated properly. The car has no exhaust so I guess I'll be at it again tomorrow. Still could use a speadsheet if anyone has one to check myself Joe
  8. Anyone? I'm new to SDS and working on a car that has not run in 10 years. Initial thoughts are duty cycle is way to high for stock L28ET injectors but I'm at a loss for figuring out the fuel map on this thing. A guess would be a 77 at 500RPM 77 at 1000 RPM and then up from there but even with those settings I think there is too much fuel to start. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Joe
  9. No need to worry about that with the new old car, Will
  10. Funny I had never heard of doing this before this thread and now I have a car that I'm working on that has been foamed everywhere! Rockers, front frame rails, inside fiberglass bumpers to name a few places.
  11. Any internally regulated alt will work. Fairly simple. I'd try the one in the donor car unless you already got rid of it.
  12. Wish I would have known about this trip
  13. Rossman, If you gave Rayven a deposit you are on the list. Fire, the 77-78 panels are a little shorter at the back of the door by about an inch. I'm in the same boat as you and will have to trim my panels. Joe
  14. Same for me, speaker holes and door handle hole is all I need. Really starting to get excited now! Joe
  15. Wow the rims really cleaned up nice! Car looks great and I'm assuming it's running the same Joe
  16. I've had mine installed for a year now. Nothing but good things to say about the kit. Plastic gears fit over the crank stub very tightly and I feel there is really no chance of them stripping. I bought my kit from whoever was selling them the cheapest online. Joe
  17. Welcome to the Dark Side! Lots of information around here that can help you pick the right parts for the swap/upgrade. I was skeptical about how much better the LSx motors could be over the traditional SBC unit I got one. You're gonna love it! Joe
  18. Pete, Sorry I missed this. I'll try to take some measurements when I get home tonight. Joe
  19. I did see your car on Ebay and wondered why you did not try to see it here before going that route. Anyway, whats the plan??? Joe
  20. I'm wanting to drill my own so if the holes are drilled in the wrong place it would be my fault. Not saying Pete would put them in the wrong place but receiving panels with holes in the wrong place would really suck
  21. Looks great Pete! Got a question about the panels with the 6.5 openings. How will the mounting ring be reinforced? MDX ring on the back side? Joe
  22. Yep. No idea why they have been complaining. I have a 240, 260, and both 280 styles available to me. Only difference I can see is between 70-76 and 77-78. That difference is in the location of the door lock pull. On a 77-78 door panel the door lock pull is a few inches forward. Since we are not concerned about this area when replacing the cardboard section of the panel, this is a moot point. There is also differences in location of the holes for mounting the door handles but since you are not drilling the holes and this is the responsibility of the person mounting the panel, this is also not a concern. Joe
  23. Pete, You already are making the panels for the 75-76 280 as the lower section is the same size as the 240 and 260 panels. Only the holes would differ for the grab rails and since you aren't putting holes in the panels, all is good. Now the 77-78 panel is different but I did give you what needs to be changed to make those which is a slight trimming of the back edge of the door. Before anyone comments on the lock pull difference, this is for the lower, cardboard section on the door panel only. Joe
