  1. Something that is usually over looked when diagnosing a lack of fuel condition is the little screen inside the inlet of the fuel pump. Over time this screen will get clogged with rust particles from the tank. Remove the screen, clean it out and replace. Joe
  2. Section your strut tubes so those inserts will fit and you'll have a good starting point. In other words, yes, those will work. Joe
  3. ZT-R, any pictures of how your panels came out? Joe
  4. I actually used the Permatex trim adhesive but we are using 3M 90 on Clive's door panels. I think either works well without having to resort to floor adhesive Joe
  5. Here is one picture I took while working on mine. I used the stock door panel vinyl to cover the fiberglass panel. Actually, I think I could have stretched the stock stuff to cover the fiberglass panel alone if I put a little more time into it. Crappy phone picture but it's all I have at the moment. Joe
  6. Keith, Try posting what labeled wires you connected where and I'm sure we can get you through it. Also, try posting some pictures of how you connected the harness. If you don't want to post it here, shoot me a PM and I'll take a look. Joe
  7. Here is mine with as it stands with the 350Z wheels mounted. Joe
  8. They will be very sensitive. Very sensitive.
  9. We need pics!!!!! This is what, 2.5 years in the making? My 2004 G35 coupe is getting long in the tooth and ready to be modded Joe
  10. Mike, Where did you get the ring spacer that positions the rotor hat on the center of the hub? I need them! Joe
  11. Can someone post where to get the 4w bulbs? I went the LED route and am really disappointed in how dim they are. Joe
  12. CB, that's a gas pump. The impeller is slightly smaller than a diesel pump, the shaft diameter is smaller than a diesel and the diverter between the impeller and water feed area is longer on a gas pump than a diesel pump.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong Clive, but aren't you breaking in the motor with a stock E88 and cam? If you can't find a decent P90 to work with I have a virgin one I've been saving for who knows what that I might be willing to let you pry out of my hands. Gonna cost you big time though
  14. Pete, I built 3 engines using these pistons. 1 with an E31 for a NA 3 liter with Webers and 2 turbo motors using a P90 which yielded 8.5-1 comp ration. You've seen to yellow car run which is one of the turbo motors. No problems with piston to valve clearance when using stock cams which I believe Clive will be using. Should be a nice NA motor as well as a nice turbo motor
  15. Pete\Clive, The pistons are 1mm down in the hole. I can't remember the exact pin height but I do know whatever it is, the piston is 1mm below deck height. I know because this was what I ordered and did all of the measuring 45 times This post will undoubtedly start the "the pistons are built wrong, you have no quench, etc, etc". Been there, done that. In any event, they are 1mm below deck so with a 1mm gasket, you'll be closer to 9.7-1 comp ratio with an E88. Joe
  16. Looking for interior dog leg panels and quarter window plastic trim panels for a 77-78 280. What makes these 77-78 specific is the speaker holes in them. Let me know what you have and cost shipped to 07675 Thanks Joe
  17. What year is the car Drew? I have a pair from a 75 that I was keeping just because they are in great shape. Been in the garage for years and I really have no use for them. Let me know if you can't find anything closer. Im in North Jersey. Joe
  18. That article is from the ZCenter newsletter that was distributed by the old Z Club of America. Mike Janick was the one who did my car. Wish I could find him now :/ Joe
  19. Pete, Good tip with the flooring adhesive, I'll give it a shot. Once I realized heat would make the vinyl more pliable, it stretched much easier. I'm using a good old fashioned blow drier. Works great! I think I'm going to do something different with the design. Something with the bottom section of the panel. Oh, and change the color too to accent the 2004 Lemans Sunset paint on the outside of the car. Stay tuned. Joe
  20. ]Getting there! Instead of having the panels covered professionally, I figured why not try to use the stock vinyl and see if it will stretch over the speaker pods. I'm not finished yet but it's getting there! Joe
  21. I'm looking for 77-78 door panels. I actually only need the metal portion of the panels so they can be trashed. Anyone have a set? Joe
  22. Pete, if the reason the original panels with the speaker pods won't work is because they are flat to the door itself, I'm interested. Shoot me some pics of what they look like and what your looking to get for them. Joe
