  1. One question I have from the read, how can rotor diameter effect brake bias??
  2. Prop valve in the front is not an option as Jon stated. The rear calipers and rotors are from a 240SX and part of the MM offering. Pads in the rear are Hawk HP plus. Front pads? No idea. Whatever comes with the AZC kit. Jon, when you say bigger rear brakes, are you referring to piston area or pad area? Joe
  3. No prop valve. Putting one in will only reduce the amount of braking to the rear. Right now I don't have enough rear braking!
  4. Well I went ahead and installed the 6 piston setup for the front that AZC sells to help with the brake over heating codition I was experiencing with the Toyota 4 pots. I did make some modification to the kit as I wanted to use a slip over lug design rotor hat. Everything fit perfectly. What I am noticing now is brake bias front to rear is really screwed up! I am using MM 240SX rear disk setup which did the job previously but now seems to be woefully under powered. Front brakes lock very easily now and it doesn't seem like the rears are even getting a chance to do anything with the amount of pressure needed to lock the fronts. Obviously an adj prop valve won't help here. Could there be something wrong with the stock prop valve or are the new front calipers just that much better than the rears? My thinking doesn't want to believe the latter! Joe
  5. Having a gen1 and a gen 3 Chevy V8 Z car, I can tell you there is nothing like an ls/t56 combo. It just plain works. Get in,turn the key and go. I know you can Lso xo that with a gen 1 but it will take a lot longer to get there. My advice would be to cut your losses, make back what you can, and find yourself an ls2/t56 combo. You won't be sorry.

  7. Ughh. Sorry I forgot to call you today, Steve. PM me if you can talk now. Car is looking great! Joe
  8. Does the shifter move if the engine is not running and your foot on the clutch? Sounds to me like the clutch is not disengaging all the way. Joe
  9. Great collection Will! First request from me will be to design some brake caliper mounts to move the caliper out so I can use slip over lug rotor hats on the V8 car. Joe
  10. How about oil and water guages or idiot lights?
  11. Are you sure the door handle isn't broken? This is a common reason for the exterior door handle not working. Take the interior door panel off and look where the door handle connects to the linkage. Pull up on the door handle and see if the linkage moves down. Sometime when the handle is broken it isn't that easy to see as the spring could be keeping the broken piece in place.
  12. Okay David, I can't take it anymore. Add me to the list! Joe
  13. Never thought of that Ron. I'll look into it!
  14. Well since I'm using JCI mounts and A/C kit, there is basically no where to put the PS pump. I even tried to find out if the PS pump is located on the right side of the engine of RHD cars but so far no luck. I was able to find a custom accessory mount that positioned everything close enough to the motor for adequate clearance but the accessory mount lit was $1000. A little too steep for me.
  15. A thousand dollars?? That is a score! Keep at it man, the car looks great!
  16. If you really want to drive yourself crazy, throw A/C in the mix. I'm still trying to figure this out myself without spending a grand on accessory mounts. Joe
  17. Are you using slip over lug rotors on the front or will they bolt to the back of the hub? I'm really interested in what your brake setup is going to look like behind those monsters!
  18. Look at the roof line. The car is a 2+2. The diff is an R200. An r180 has carrier bearing bolts on the outside of the diff. Like this
  19. Now I'm gonna have to open my Nissan box to make sure it's an LD pump. You guys have me worried!
  20. It's an R200. Either do a count of wheel to pinion turns or pull the cover off and keep your fingers crossed
  21. Wow. I gotta have it! Do you have any more pictures of the tank install?
  22. You probably have the highly sought after 3.36 R200 diff in that car. Worth checking out. I for one have been looking for one for a very long time.
  23. Like the title says, I'm looking for the large rubber front bumper guard/mount for an early 260Z. I really need the pass side but will tale both if they are in great condition. Joe
  24. Come get my stocker turbo and see if it still smokes using that one.
