we came back from a trip near LA and we were moving pretty good on the way back (over 110mph ) so I dont know if it could be the injectors. When the car turns over it does it fast, and when it finally catches it barely keeps up the idle so he has to constantly adjust the throttle to keep rpms up, and it usually idles right on tjhe verge of stalling and backfires about 4 times while right after it catches. The car has no problem picking up rpms when he blips the throttle but if he lets completely off the throttle it will stall. Its strange because after keeping it running for a bit and drives it it is fine.

my family has 4 cars on the plan right now, with me it would be 5 cars and 3 drivers. I could probably keep it under 3500, i wouldnt be able to pay for the gas to go too far anyways

who happen to have a Z. Im going to be getting my permit pretty soon and insurance is becoming an issue. I was talking to CJarlo on AIM and he said he was paying about $1200 for 6 months! I dont know if I can afford to pay for the insurance myself . If you guys have suggestions on what to do about this PLEASE reply. BTW how much does insurance for a 5.0 Mustang cost, and how much money is expected from a part time job at minimum wage (monthly)?

My dad's 78 280Z starts fine cold but after driving around for a while and turning it off it wont start. It'll crank over but it wont catch for a very long time, and when it does it barely runs. It will backfire and it is on the verge of stalling at idle. After running for about 45 seconds it will run fine, the car seems to be flooding like its not getting enough oxygen. When get bought the car it was running ok but it slowy started to get worse so now it barely starts. We need to get this fixed so he can get it smogged and back on the road. Any replies and suggestions would be appreciated.

My dad used to tell me about a really nice brown 280Z that he would see driving around. It had 17" chrome wheels and was lowered. I remember thinking about the car, and a couple of years later he told me he talked to the owner and it was for sale. It had been sitting in various garages for years. The guy was askin $1500 for the car w/the wheels but it had a blown headgasket, so we waited for a year to buy it and by then he was desperate to get rid of it. We got it for $600 (no chrome wheels, too heavy anyways) and he had spent at least $3500 on the suspension (coilovers ect). It was a mess when we got it, ripped up carpet, torn headliner, cracked dash w/messed up cover, the stock steering wheel had no rubber left on it, paint oxidized to a dull brown, the hood was completley faded the paint was peeling, and it was filled with sunflower seeds. Luckily it had no rust and the engine and chassis was very clean but it had a pretty good sized dent in the rear quarter panel. I remember when we got it to start before we fixed the gasket, it was a beautiful sound. Now $1500 later (life savings ) the car is almost back to street worthy condition and it looks cool 8)

Im going to get one on Monday, a KJW Beretta 92FS full metal from a friend. He's going to give me the case, 2 clips, and a silencer for $85. Do you guys have any experience with these and what types of gas to use (green, red, duster ect)? I plan on using it ocasinally at a friends house (huge backyard). I'll post some pics later when I get it
