Had lots of slop in my clutch pedal, I thought maybe the return spring had broke but it was the clevis pin that connects the pedal arm to the clutch master cylinder...... How many more shifts do you think I had..... Check yours! And the brake pin.

It's been covered a lot, But you'll need a drive shaft from a 280z that originally came with a R200 diff. Typically 75-78 5speed 280z's I dont know what car the R200 you already swapped in came from, but you can also pull the drive shaft input flange from the diff of the 280z you get the drive shaft out of. You'll need a puller to remove the flange from the diff

Found 2 pics of a Z with these wheels.

I'm sure you've already pulled the distributor and set the oil pump shaft to the proper position with the engine at TDC. If you still cant turn the Dist enough to get the proper timing, the timing marks on the pulley may be off, or the cam gear was not positioned correctly when the timing chain was installed ? I'd pull the distributor, pull the valve cover, ensure you are at TDC and verify the timing marks on the pulley, and start fresh setting the timing ?

Also make sure the fans are setup up correctly, I once had a fan on the engine side of the radiator thinking it came setup as a "puller". When in fact it was setup as a pusher. The fan was fighting the natural air flow when the car was moving,..

These ? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?displayName=Fuel+Injector¤tPage=1&categoryDisplayName=Fuel+Delivery&navValue=14900120&itemId=120-0&parentId=49-0 $43 x 6 = 258.00 I google'd the part number for a flow rating but couldnt find anything. I would be worried that they might not be "turbo" injectors or that you could get a mix and match of different injectors, some turbo some NA, although autozone has a different part number for the NA injectors Arizona Z car sells them for $49 each and you are getting TURBO injectors for sure, $36 more for all 6 is cheap piece of mind. If you're going to drop the cash for new injectors you should decide what your power goals are and maybe just upgrade now. Instead of buying stock turbo injectors

Thanks for everyone's advice I've been looking at different T3/TO4E turbo's but am on somewhat of a limited budget. GT35's and the GT3076 are for sure out of my price range. I have bought 2 used stock turbo's that turned out to be junk..... Most of the info I've found about the ebay turbos seems to be hit or miss, which is why I asked about these 2. Most of the reviews on them or feedback is done when the person opens the box and see's their shiny new part.... Godspeed had their turbo's reviewed by honda tuning magazine and they came out ok, but some claim the company cherry picked the good ones for the review... Cheap Fast Reliable They say you can choose 2 but not all three...

I'm looking at these 2 turbo's for my 240z build. The motor is an F54 Flat top piston NA block with a P90 head, stock cam, stock turbo injectors, and stock ECM. I will be using an intercooler, and 2.5 inch down pipe and exhaust with a straight through magnaflow muffler. I'm looking at 8-9 psi max Here are the turbo's I am considering #1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180471774388&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT T3 TURBO INTERNAL WASTE GATE TURBO CHARGER .63ar T3 internal wastegate turbo Intake: 3 inch Inlet: 2 inch Compressor trim: Compressor Wheel diameter: 54.28 /71.32 Turbine Wheel diameter: 55.79 /63.36 Exhaust Trim: .63ar Turbine flange type: T3 flange Down pipe flange type: 2.5 v band Actuator setting : 8 psi Cooling type: oil cool only And Door number 2 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290400802988&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Intel 3" Outlet 2" Bearing Wet Floating Bearings Oil Inlet 1/8 NPT Oil Inlet Flange Standard T3/T4 Flange Swaps 350 WHP Working Pressure 5~20 PSI Compressor .60 A/R Compressor Turbine .63 A/R Turbine Compressor Wheel Exducer: 3" Inducer: 2" Turbine Wheel Exducer: 2.2" Inducer: 2.58" Hot Side 2.5" v-band They look to be the same, just seeing if anyone has any advice or has purchased these turbos and what their opinions are. Thanks

I would redo the timing. Reset TDC and clock the distributor. If you still have the same problem, run to pick n pull and get another e12-80 module. Although usually if the module is bad you dont get any spark..... I wouldnt try to use the e12-92 module..

Silver or gold wheels?
MikeBZ replied to ROVdriver's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
+ 1 for Gold Just seems to add to the overall look of the car compared to the silver wheels -
I've seen several hot rods with a north star V8 as well as sandrails. Here's info on an adapter to adapt a RWD 700-r4 transmission to a northstar V8 http://www.phoenixtrans.com/html/adapters.html PT700NSA NorthStar Adapter Engine Cad Northstar V8 Trans- S-10 STYLE 700R4 Starter- Northstar Flywheel- stock Northstar

The 9mm is in reference to the rod bolt size. Most L24 rods use 8mm rod bolts. People building a stroker motor want the extra strengh of the 9mm bolts

you dont need to convert to the 72 harness. Here's a diagram to install the e12-80 distributor

I was just there today as well, no wheel lock key anywhere.... some jack must have taken it or is coming back for the wheels later.... Most tire shops have wheel lock extractor sockets that you either hammer on, or they chew into the lock as you loosen it. They might let you borrow one if you give them a deposit.

Try rotating the adjusters in both directions. Use a flashlight and make sure you're going the right way. Also chisel the center of the drum near the stub axle. Sometimes rust gets in that crack and the drum wont budge. Good luck, I layed on the ground with a flashlight and a small flat head screwdriver and turned the adjusters, then used a BFH and tapped all around the perimeter of the drum. I heard the brake shoe clunk on the inside, it had seized to the drum....

NO smog in CA for the 240 and its lighter than the 280zx. Get the 240 and put the turbo motor in it.
