Its an ada conversion I went nuts with the devcon inside after that shaping port filling other stuff etc

If you use a rb25 or an rb30 block your sump hassles will be alot less

When i was working on alfas with the down draft webers We had a system using water in a tube and used it to balance the carbs It hooked to the bottom of each carb and it would show the vacum each carb was pulling You would need to do it with all 6 cylinders but its the easiest way to balance the carbs

Thanks guys more pics coming soon I have ported the stock exhaust manifolds. I have seen the aftermarket ones break all the time, you can get the stock to work almost as well with out the breaking

I was going to use a l28 in my car but then thought nah lets go rb engine So i went and brought a rb26 head if your going to do it then you have to do it right huh So it was off to get stripped down and hot tanked The thing that always concerned me was getting a sump to work in my z car After talking to people i found that the nissan patrol sump would fit I started looking for one of those but was unable to find one I did however find an rd28 sump of the diesel Interesting enough it uses a rubber gasket on the base to seal it The issue with this sump is that it has an extra bulge on the bottom to increase its oil capacity. This would drag on the road in a z-car so it had to go. Ok so time for an engine block, read it and weap every non australian rb fan Yes thats right i paid 10.50 for this engine. It cost more to actually drive and pick it up than it did to buy it Then the block was sent off to be hot tanked All painted up The head is all ported now and just have to get the seats cut and start to bolt it all together

Yeah it will be a bit tight but its going to fit, Once its all welded up i will start work on cutting the hold for the watergate. then i will just blend it in on the down pipe I woul dlove to run it as a screamer but the police dont like that sort of thing here in australia

Thanks Yes i will be using an external waste gate i will run it underneath the manifold.

And for all the people that seem to want to find fault in everything, Now the turbo doesnt hit the side of the car it has about an inch clearance its the angle its taken at

Ok well its finished pretty much Just have to weld it all solid now please excuse the mess in my car this is all pre my doing

They are mild steel bends, 3mm thickness.This is what i use on all the turbo manifolds i have built to such date it works just fine I think you will find is the angle that the pic is taken on makes it look closer than it is . Have a look at the pic of the other manifold up top it will run as close if not closer than the one i have made.

I will be cutting the flanges between the cylinders to allow for the pipes to move I also have an electrical furnace i will be putting the manifold into to normalise it after its all been welded. I appreciate your coments about the pipes but the picture makes them look closer than they are , i also have had used this thermal coating before and i know how effective it is , if this was not good enough i would simply wrap the pipes in tape , though this would be a pain
