  1. They can stay as long as the cam is the same type ( solid or hydraulic )
  2. If you still want to build your 305, Powerhouse has a stroker kit, 305 to 335ci for $599 http://www.enginekits.com/catalog.pdf
  3. 12:1 CR is very high for a street engine! You won't be happy using 100+ octane every time you want to go somewhere.
  4. Hi dome pistons are going to give you a high CR. With cast heads you want to be around 9.5 CR 350s did not come with steel cranks, find out what brand crank. 461 heads are 327 fuelie heads. Make sure that engine is a 350 and not a 327. Early 327s have stock steel cranks, and 461 heads.
  5. Cool engine, but very expensive to buy and maintain.
  6. Man, that's straight out of the 70's!
  7. Here is some info on the differences: http://www.idavette.net/hib/ls6/page3.htm
  8. That came up a while ago, pretty funny.
  9. We switched to a new site, but it crashed, so we are back here for now.
  10. The only time I see daylight is when I scratch some paint off my blacked out windows
  11. Sorry to hear that, My Great Dane won't let anyone in the house!
  12. This subject has come up many times, that maybe the reason nobody responded. Normally we would say do a search, but the search function is down right now, so....I for one canned the evaporator tank, and welded up all the vent lines on the tank, except the one above the sender. From there I ran a fuel hose to the spot on the fuel neck that used to attach to the evaporater tank. This is now my one and only vent hose. I drilled two small holes in the fuel cap to help the tank vent. This works very well, with no problems in filling the tank. As for the charcoal filter I canned that too, but since you live in California you may need to keep that.
  13. I think he has another year. His last post was on Jan 31st 2003, not 2002
  14. Here is the post: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30593
  15. That doesn't make sence, does mine look stock to you? They do modified cars.
  16. I know the search function is down, but if you scroll through the Ford Teach Board pages you'll find your info. Don't use a cable, too hard to hook up. Use a hydraulic throw-out bearing.
  17. If your oil looked fine, are you sure it's the head gasket? Coulda had a V8 , sorry couldn't resist.
  18. They don't have a max milage, but I don't think they would like 15 - 20k miles a year. Yes you do need a primary vehicle insured with another company.
  19. Make sure the head gasket is on the right way, if you put it on wrong you could have covered a cooling hole or 2.
  20. I use Hagerty. For $20,000 in coverage, with no dedutable ( full coverage ) I pay $360.00 per year. http://www.hagerty.com/
  21. If the guy knows he reeks, why dosesn't he do something about it? I hope it wasn't your boss
  22. Unless the Mustang in question was special ordered with an 8.8 or someone swapped one in, all V6 Mustangs have a 7.5. So no you can't put an 8.8 gear set into a 7.5 housing. The hot rear disc setup for a 9" is from a Ford Explorer.
