  1. Your headers are going to take a beating! Those are real low. The back isn't as bad, as long as the speed bumps are not higher that 3". Just say "NO" to speed bumps, that's what I do. The lowest point of my car is now around 4". It used to be about 2 1/2" . With 4" I don't scrape that often.
  2. Got my shirts and cap on Monday!!! Thanks Tim they look awsome!!
  3. If you're willing to come up to Atlanta, there is a very good tranny place, that specializes in standerd trannys only. They are called Southern Gear, 770-435-1461. They rebuilt my T56.
  4. I had a broken 5th gear shift fork, and a bent rail for 6th gear. Repairing that, with all new bearings cost me around $800.
  5. I just hung clear plastic down from the ceiling, and used two box fans blowing in, with furnice filters on the intake side of them. The fans where at the back of the garage, and I had openings at the garage door for air/fumes to escape.
  6. I used a 3" X 1 1/2" rectangular tubing, which gave me 1/2" extra ground clearance. I did not cut my floor.
  7. Read this article from Pete's webpage. Now this fix isn't perfect, I tryed it and it wasn't acurate enough for me. So I ended up modifing a Ford sending unit to fit the Datsun tank. http://home.comcast.net/~pparaska/gagecalibration.htm
  8. I had a Monza 2+2 with the 3.8 6, and a 4 speed. It was a fun car, but like Sup Dog said it was poorly built. I had the hinge problems with the doors, I had trouble getting it into 1st gear, body panels didn't fit right, major rust problems. But over all it was fun to drive.
  9. I don't see a phone # on his web site, email him http://jskinnovations.com/
  10. Nah, you could add your own spring on the linkage going to the front of the engine somewhere.
  11. I bonded my scoop pretty close to what Tim said. But, instead of a glue, I used Bondo to stick the scoop down with screws to hold it in place. Once dry, I removed the screws, feather edged it, then layed down some strips of fiberglass sheets around the edge. Then sanded, and bondoed it smooth. The car has been on the road for almost 3 years with no problems.
  12. Try a Lokar universal trottle cable: They come in 24", and 36" , and you can cut them to any length. You can buy them at Summit or Jeg's
  13. Ditto, I have the same problem. But now I tell them what is wrong with their car, so they can tell there mechanic and not sound stupid. This helps them get a good deal, because the mechanic thinks they know something about cars. This gets me off the hook, but I still do alot of the little things.
  14. When you hit the brakes, did you hear a sound like air escaping as it went to the floor? If so the master is bad.
  15. Put an LS1 in it: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28464
  16. Set up the old heater in the garage, and get out there already!!
  17. Sure you can, but you have to make brackets for it. Why not get a one wire, high amp, GM alt?
