  1. Tim, I forgot you have an LT1 in the Z. I guess you don't have an aftermarket wiring harness, so a resistor connected at the skip shift should eliminate any ecm error. It couldn't hurt to try.
  2. You aren't asking for your Z car right? 'cause you don't have to worry about it for the Z. But for a Camero or Firebird that resistor should work.
  3. I don't think the 6 cylinder Mustangs have the 8.8 rear. I think they are 7 1/4 or something, so no, don't use it.
  4. Looking great Ryan!! Now get it back together, it's been to long!
  5. Copy and paste, sometimes it works: http://jag-lovers.org/lumps/x/spacer.jpg
  6. The JTR kit is for early Zs, it won't work on a ZX. You don't need the offset to the rear. Not sure about the tranny mount, you may be able to use it. Your rear end should be fine for a stock TPI motor
  7. V8ZRACER260Z is doing that. http://www.picturetrail.com user name: V8ZRACER260Z
  8. Myron, I used the black anodized horizontal Proline Control. I moved the stock fuse panel to the passenger side firewall area, and mounted the Proline on the black lid (part of console)for the stock fuses.
  9. Hey Flash!, Yeah I'm here, let me (us) know when your ready. I'm sure we can figure it out!
  10. I got mine from here: https://www.kvrperformance.com/index.html Also, for the stock solid Z rotor the Toyota caliper part number has an S at the end for "solid" not W.
  11. I always liked the look of the Z, but never owned one early on. I test drove a 280Z in the mid 90's that was in very poor shape, oil burning engine, rusty, crapy interior, etc.. but i liked the way it felt. I didn't buy it for obvious reasons. I've always been a V8 guy, so I thought it would be cool to put one in one of these, little did I know that it had been done. So I searched the internet for any info on Z cars and came accross the JTR site , wow, a kit to install a V8 in a Z! I found my Z in a barn with a 327 sitting in the engine bay, bolted with wooden blocks to the frame, but nothing was hooked up. I bought the car with extra parts for $400, and the rest is history!
  12. I have an older Space Saver unit. http://327-240z.freeservers.com/photo.html (Scroll down near bottom). They are now smaller and fit without modifactions to the cowl that I did. It works great! Nice and cool!
  13. I thought it looked like a 72 Javelin also. It looks a bit like a Ford Torino. But I think it's an Aussie Ford Falcon.
  14. 679 RWHP!! Dang!, are you trying to take on Scottie?! Scottie you better watch out.
  15. I think their brains are in their cahonies, definitely not in their heads!
  16. A WC can handle more torque than a non-WC. But even the WC can only handle about 320 ft lbs. Here is some more info: http://v8rx7.com/trans.htm http://www.moderndriveline.com/Technical_Bits/t5_history.htm
  17. Wow, it's been a long time Myron, glad to have you back!
