  1. I used a short cable that is bolted over and under the drivers side motor mount. It keeps the motor mount from being sheared off when launching the car under N20 on slicks. It looks like a grounding strap but is much stronger.I purchaced it from http://www.mcmaster.com
  2. Remeber that on nitrous there is always some amout of boost creep. With 20psi on stock pistons it sounds like a receipe to put a rod through a block. If the motor is setup correctly the N20 should make a great intercooler.
  3. Some links to a similar project .A fabricated and welded together 488 CID V12 from two Buick 215 CID heads and block. http://www.the510realm.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album150&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php A PDF file to the specs for the twincam LY head. http://www.osgiken.co.jp/tc16/tc16.pdf Thanks Rob.
  4. In my turbo car a aircraft style air/oil seperator is used via the vent on the valve cover. The stock pvc system is retained. The oil seperatoe does have a vent outside the engine compartment for residual fumes.Works great.
  5. Welcome to the 10 sec club.congrats
  6. I just had a set made by BRC Performance http://www.brcpistons.com/ The price was very reasonable and they did a 3 week turnaround.
  7. Randy I would find a set of vg30dett pistons.I think Vern at Raver has a set they are 87mm in bore and can handle a 100hp per cyl.
  8. Holy Sh!t Batman ...can you say 1000 HP.Those look very nice BTW.
  9. Does anyone know of a succesful application of meagasquirt with nitrous and a turbo?
  10. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=778317 http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/pictures/bfeldman.html some pics of the twin turbo V6
  11. I look forward to seeing you at the track/street in late summer .Let me know if you need any help.I was so hoping to line up against you this season.
  12. T3/T4 60 AR housing with a 60-1 wheel, .63 exhaust with a stage 5 wheel.Modified stock exhaust manifold (to fit in a 510) ported and ceramic coated.Custom made intake manifold(in progress).AEM EMS for fuel, ignition controll and whatever shot of N20 it takes to make 550rwh.
  13. Is the drive spindle for the 280zxt distributor/oil pump different from a NA distributor?
  14. I know of a Pro built 3 liter stroker at a shop in Calif. The price for the work done on the motor is a steal.PM me for more info.
  15. You can still run your xr3000 and your NA distributor if you use this unit to controll the boost retard. http://www.dezod.com/pd_crane_cams_driveradjustable.cfm You just won`t be using the turbo distibutor.or assosiated hookups.
  16. I am running 13"x7"x24.5" inch slicks on my 510 , it has posted a best time of 10.96@127. A best 60' of 1.58 , that`s with a R200 and stock axels.I do however have a NISMO competion LSD in the differential and I only use stock soild Nissan U joints.I literally have more than 250 hard drag launches on my R200.The motor is a L series 3 liter stroker with turbo and N20 with a T56 tranny.
  17. The stock NA EFI has no provisions for timing retard under boost, plus any time that larger injectors are fitted a change has to be made to the AFM to compensate for the extra fuel.A FMU could be fitted with 370cc injectors and a turbo AFM could be modified to work with a NA motor. This would supply the fuel for a budget setup.Next would be a way to retard the timing under boost the Crane xr 3000 box could be fitted with a http://www.dezod.com/pd_crane_cams_driveradjustable.cfm timing retard and that takes car of your retard under boost. This setup can be used with your NA distibutor.I had friend who used a similar setup using a Cartech FMU and a MSD BTM6AL it was a bit laggy coming up on boost but hit really hard once the boost came up.Really all you would need is a set of 370cc injectors and a modified AFM with the FMU and a timing retard, your stock intake manifold will work just fine. You just need a turbo exhaust manifold and a turbo.Be aware that a stock N42 bottom end will fail if more than 10psi of boost is run on the motor for any length of time. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7952387318&category=33741&sspagename=WDVW
  18. What I do like about the BW trans is the bellhousing that would allow for a stronger G force T5 or a TKO to be fitted to the car at a later date.It would require some fabrication work and a custom clutch disc to be made.
  19. You will need to have an adaptor fabricated to use the CT26 on a T3 exhaust flange.I just had a adaptor made to use a T3 flange on my manifold that was setup to use a CT26.If your just looking for a buget turbo and aren`t looking for more than 300rwh the CT26 is a decent choice and it has a water cooled center section that makes it nice on a street driven car.
  20. Try a Volvo 740 turbo EFI pump.It pretty much fits in the stock location.I used a pump from a Volvo 240 turbo and it had no problem supporting 275rwh.
  21. See if the machine shop can install a Time Sert.I have had several stripped bolt holes repaired this way. http://www.timesert.com/
  22. turbo cam grind #155 .488 lift 252 duration 230 duration @.050 in degrees 108 deg centerlobe (intake) 111 deg centerlobe (exhaust) I am running the same cam as 240prace and picked up .3 at the drag strip switching from a milder grind. The cam is stil very streeable,my springs and retainers are Isky.
  23. Contact Web cams .They have several turbo grinds I am sure one would work with your application.
  24. Some info on a Jag rear end in a 510.A z swap would be similar I would imagine. http://www.bryanf.com/510/rsusp.htm
