  1. You might be able to use a fog machine for a smoke generator...
  2. I agree... Heavy car.. they handle fairly well for their weight though. I've known a couple people that have had them with no major problems other than high mileage.
  3. Sux that you had to tear into it again... but at least you stopped a bigger problem down the road...
  4. Love the replica and the Grand Sport... I had to wipe my chin after seening two beautiful cars like those..
  5. LOL Good luck on the score...
  6. Any more progress ??? I have CAD at home and could draw up the plans for you if you need them..just send me all the measurements... Let me know..
  7. It did say it was a "Past Show Car" ... so I'm thinking late 70's to early '80's shows, it would have been a "correct" style build..
  8. Is that one a "cinch" type bolt??
  9. http://www.pitroad-ts.com/kameari-2/kameari06.htm What the hell ??
  10. I am pretty sure that the N42 is going to be too much for a turbo... unless you are going to change the pistons... I am not the most proficient on the L6ET... I would think without the intercooler... you could bump it a few psi, but not much, you will have to watch for detonation... It would be very wise to get an intercooler for running higher boost levels... even a small one..
  11. hmmm... I've got a '99 Max but not sure about the pullely bolt... I would think that it would be normal threads... but I've been wrong before...
  12. Don't think there is a lot you can do with the liners.... form what I have heard, they supposedly flow pretty good as they are..
  13. When I get the 510 back from Utah, I will see what I can come up with.. It has a couple small dents from what I can see, one pushed in and one pushing out... I'll post my results, hopefully it will be good
  14. Nice work... I really should have ported and polished mine when I originally put mine back together..
  15. Here is an easy to understand tutorial I ran across for those of you wanting to make custom fiberglass stuff.. http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/
  16. Would this work ??? Use a hydraulic press to repair a chrome bumper that had been dented.. ?? As long as you could get a conforming die of some sort in behind, it should work, right ?? I think it would be less stressful than smacking it with a hammer reapeated times.
  17. Looks like the trip is a GO !! Purchased the tickets last night... Just in case you are wondering... I will be piloting a non wrecked, rust free 1971 Datsun 510 station wagon on the way back Still a little nervous about the drive back though...
  18. Little behind.... but there is some stuff still left... but you would have to go over it pretty good to be sure that its still a good part... Bumpers.... not likely.. Door.... maybe I only got a few interior pieces that were good.. most of the consoles were gone or cracked...
  19. I'll take a look when I get out there... its not on the property where my house is..
  20. I was a little worried about the gas part.... especially on the weekend.. We have got 3 different cell phones, Cingular, Verizon and Nextel... We should pick up some signal I think with all of the suggestions above...I also take : a fan belt, (that panty hose trick doesn't work too well) 5 gallon can of gas, AC/DC converter. laptop with GPS,.... I'm sure there is more.. Ineed to write all of it down... I'd hate to be halfway out there to find out I forgot something...
  21. It it goes, we will be flying out to the Salt Lake City airport and driving a 35 year old car back to North Carolina... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=spanish+fork,ut&daddr=Cherryville,+NC&om=1&t=h I like the beginning of the trip going along Hwy 6 and US 70 in Utah and Colorado, seems to be a pretty nice scenic route.... We want to see a little on the trip back, just not too far out of the way.. ...towards the middle of the trip it looks like it might get a little bland...
  22. anyone... anyone... Bueller...Bueller...
