    Very interesting...
  2. I've lived in North Carolina for about 20 years of my live... I have to admit, Its pretty nice here.. I'm about an hour or so from the mountains for skiing in the winter, little over 4 hours to Myrtle Beach, SC., 30 minutes from Lake Norman and about 45 minutes from Charlotte. I just wish we had a little bit more snow in the winter to play in
  3. Hey guys, I am looking at possibly making a cross country road trip from roughly Salt Lake City, UT to North Carolina... If this trip is to become reality, I need some info about the western/mid areas... I have no clue what the area out there is like... I need to know what you guys suggest to bring with me for the drive back so I don't forget anything important and I get stranded somewhere in the mountains The longest trip I have made was 1350 miles up to New Brunswick, Canada. This trip is about 2000 miles... Anyone out that way??
  4. Nice... I am a little on the fence about the Z's as convertibles.... At first I wanted to build one... but I am not much of a convertible fan... BUT those examples above are very tempting. and the 1st Gen Z's look good as drop tops. now I don't know what I want to build
  5. I would love to do that.... The T6 that I rode in a couple of years ago was great... that looks even more fun.
  6. Well, at least that one is a GNX... still a little high though...
  7. While we are on the same note... If I am installing this type (4 wire) on a car without that circuit.. I am assuming I need to put them on a timer , correct??
  8. I forgot to mention.... The oil leaking/burning started all of a sudden. Last time I drove it (about a year ago) it didn't do any of this....
  9. Ok guys... This is a question on a Nissan Z (2.2 liter) engine from a truck.. I have been working on this truck to get the carb setup right.....after dumping it in the trash and putting on a new one, I have a problem... When the truck is running, there is oil seeping from the # 3 & 4 exhaust ports, and a little from # 2 and truck is smoking like a freight train when I hit the gas. It has a slight miss, but only under load it seems to be missing on one cylinder. It does not do it immediately after starting, I have to give a minute or so before it starts. I've checked the PCV, its fine, it will still smoke with the line disconnected.. Is there a possibility that its a head gasket or head problem ??? I can't imagine three pistons all of a sudden breaking rings....
  10. hmmm... Looks just like the same principal that a paxton works...
  11. Nice... I was looking at those also to replace mine (the sooner the better). The new shop build comes first though. I have an 80 gallon but its only 11.5 CFM, fine for a normal garage use but not for a powder coating setup... my blasting cabinet alone uses 21 CFM... So go figure the math on that one.. Let me know if you like it..
  12. "So, if you have the (beep) of a Yeti,....." ROFL !!!
  13. From what I remember.. it idled around 8-900 ..
  14. I think I have that grind in mine.. its a Comp Cam also.. I don't have much vacuum in mine either.... and it sounds like this.. http://www.cruez.com/cars/z.wmv Except your exhaust probably doesn't whistle (burned out resonator)
  15. I have a lead on some American Racing Libre Wheels, 14x5 for $250... does this sound like the "right" ones ??
  16. By Friday, I'll take a list with me from this thread and see what I can come up with...and I'll report my findings..
  17. Hey guys, I am going by a junkyard (hopefully this weekend) that is full of 1st gen Z's here in North Carolina ... I talked with him last night about a few parts and he notified me that he was taking quite a few to the crusher... While I was there, I thought that if there is anything anyone would like for me to keep my eyes open for, I could pick it up... I would hate to have some parts gone forever without having a chance to be used..
  18. That green looks really nice on the black, Mike... Was that a candy lime green ?? It looks similar to a set of CBR wheels that I just did the other day.. The red and black VC with the clear would at least be a 3 stage process.... I did a set of M/T valve covers for a Mustang with blue and silver with polished letters, the process would be similar to that one..
  19. Looks good.. Yeah, I like the black chrome.. I used it on the wheels of my '85 pickup.. turned out nice... now I need to do the push bar, side rails and rear bumper with the stuff..
