It has become apparent that there are not many Z owners here in my area in Tennessee, or on this board and those that are on here stay fairly quiet. But what I am getting at is for those in/around TN where are you located. As I read posts I see that there are many from the south but I just wanted an idea as to who all is around. With the GRS/Civic swap the wiring harness was a direct switch since you have to change the ECM with the exception of 3 other wires required. And man was I glad that was all, beasuse there are a butt load of wires in there. You are a brave man (and an intelligent one too) to build a whole new one. It's the swaps like these that people should really appreciate as opposed to the "look how much money I spent to pay someone else to do it all" builds. Hurry up and bring on the pictures...please .

If it's like the 240's it should be a slip yoke style at the transmission. If that is the case just undo the 4 bolts at the differential so that it can slide out.

Without sounding too negative have you seen any dyno charts yet? A B16 putting out that much power seems a little high especially on pump gas. I’ve seen built H22’s put out close to 350 around 15 psi…of course that could be the difference in the builder too I don’t know. If that B16 even puts out 300 it will still scream and be nothing to laugh at. I would like to dyno my B18C1 in my civic, yet fear that I may be disappointed. It runs pretty good but could always be faster. And if your B16 is that powerful...then I hate you. And do take pics, I for one would love to see them. Matt

I aggree with Forrest, it's hard to beat 300+ turns in 11 miles as in the Tail of the Dragon. My dad took his Miata and is planning a return trip with the Miata and me on my Katana. You would think that since I have lived just 30 min. south of Nashville my whole life I could recommend some fine eating...but alas I can not. Anywho, welcome to mid-Tennessee. Matt

As the proud owner of a 94 Civic with a built 95 Integra GSR motor I know exactly what you have gone through (minus the turbo). When I did my swap 3 years ago the motor form CA had the wrong water passage on the back of the block to start with . After finally getting it in and firing it up (6 months later) coolant blew out the back of the head…the cod-bags where I got it from (mechanics checked it out my butt) had put the head gasket on backwards and upside down. Then after less than a month of driving coolant started leaking again, this time the water pump which under normal circumstances is held on by 3 bolts NOT SILICONE . And as if that was not enough this supposedly non-abused motor burnt a piston . Needless to say the motor came out and got fully built for a mild N/A setup. This whole time the dill-holes in CA would not help at all. So I can kinda sympathize with you. Now the Honda takes a back seat to the 73 240 rust bucket in the garage . Matt
