Well I got the intake setup finished and installed. Also put on the header. Looks real good together. I still need to add the freeze plugs, oil pump, water pump ( thinking of using the CSR electric model), Kameari timing set will be had in a couple months as well, port the gasket to match the intake and exhaust and then send the head out for the last bit of work. Pics if interested are in the members gallery. Thinking of painting the entire engine in a graphite paint. Clean looking and I figure easy to locate leaks. Here is the link http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=7883&cat=500 Thinking of asking 1fastZ for the head work any other ideas? N42 stroker with flat tops (slight valve relief) N42 head as well. Cam undecided but something fun for street and daily use. I have a top of the line fuel and ignition set up (redline distributor less crank fire) .. Hoping for some feedback and head ideas...

I was wandering if you would get around to posting the car on here. Was curious to see what people thought. Glad your going to be involved with this car as you seem to have a fair understanding of Rb engines. I caught alot of hate when I originally posted the car for sale on this site. Glad to see that it worked out with you and yes it is a legitimate GTR as promised and paperwork shows.

I think the collar is available around $100...Cheap insurance to make the better oil pump work..

Ha-Ko-tsu-ka Blur the tsu together quickly. What-ta-nabe Drag out the a in the what & nabe section. Probably alot easier to learn after hearing it.

newly-restored KPGC10 belonging to Dr Shimizu ( watch this space for more on this car ) Ok I am waiting... How about letting the cat out of the bag on the Works Shells....What was different....

Sorry...In Barstow...Not much here I know....I think this town is simply a gas station stop between L.A. an Las Vegas...

I have one similiar in my garage. Don't know how it would work on a left side drive car. If someone is close by would be willing to give it a try....The wastegate location on mine I don't like as well.... If it works it could be used to duplicate. Pics are in my gallery...That is if the one above doesn't fit people's needs... http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=2978&cat=500&ppuser=9707 http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=2877&cat=500&ppuser=9707

I built my stroker with the escort pistons. Didn't know they had a US page on the internet. I have the set that calls for the L14/LD combination. I also Built my block from the N42. Glad I did now from 1 fast z's posts. Only reason I used the N42 was that in all of my Jap magazines all the strokers were in N42 blocks. Figured if it worked for them all these years got to be something with it.

Hakosuka JD talked about heat. The rb20det and RB26dett use the same radiator. I fixed this by simply buying a KOYO radiator from yahoo auctions. Paid around 50 bucks and had to have a small whole fixed. Ran much better until I sold the car. Electric fans that pull more CFM's are easy to due as well. RB's poduce some under hood heat..

There is a red R30..Forget the guys name..His car is registered on moviecars.com somewhere..

As the other Hakosuka owner on this forum I too am very interested in seeing what kind of interest this car brings on the US market. I brought mine here because it was too expensive to bring my BNR32. I can not imagine selling mine without accomplishing everything that I want to. Which is destroying the ego of every domestic hotrod out there with a simple 30yr old nissan..Anyways good luck Brian.I would have liked to seen the RB26 turbo idea running..

I have raced Rick once with my old GTR before I left. I felt pretty confident he wouldn't destroy me as we had similar mods. He made of had a couple better than mine. Anyway he destroyed me despite my greater efforts. That Saurus built car is a monster. Goes to show a well built and tuned GTR32 is a show stopper. Anyways there is a KFC near where that video was taken. Feels good to eat when I lose.

I have been using Q45 t-bodies on a couple different things. I have one installed on a RB26 surge tank eliminating the small t-bodies all together and have been working on a L28 version to use when I go turbo. If you are looking to get rid of one let me know.

Well starting to build my head and am looking for a good source for some of the stock components of my N42 head. Where is a good source for valves, locks and seals. If there is a supplier out there that HYBRIDZ supports please let me know.

Looking around at some of my spare stuff I find that one of my N42 blocks casting actually reads a backward N followed by 24. Not 42. Is this a rare occurance and should I be concerned about using this block due to incorrect casting. Has anybody else ran across one of these?

I have been lacking in responding to e-mails. Sorry. I have been able to contact Vintage z. Hopefully he will be able to make me a hood then I will offer up the rest to him to build more hoods or what ever for others.

So I dig into the box and everything looks great. I will be heading to Florida next week to assemble my block with a friend of mine. He is going thru a build up right now as well. Seeing how there seems to be some interest here I will share some helpful insight to the actual throttle body. They flow more volume than the carb of the same side. I purchased 45's. Said to flow about the same as a 48 / 50 carb. The 48's they sell flow as much as a 52. I should be ok with the 45 model as I am doing a 3.1 build. For a standard L28 I am not sure. I would think it may be too much. However with it being fuel injection and controlled by a computer it is better than big carbs. Next goal is to find a place to do a street port amd cam for my head. Any ideas?

Got home today from my family vacation. To my enjoyment I found that REDLINE not only sent out the proper mounting bolts but also the engine managent as well. I will officially open the box tomorrow and mock fit what I can. Getting real close to starting this motor for the first time in a year. Can't wait.

I was visiting a friend of mine last week and in his garage he has a huge roll of mil-spec carbon fiber designed for use in aircraft. My first thought was how cool would it be to have a hood and hatch made out of this stuff. Of course other things could be made as well. It does have the thin yellow stripe every 12" to designate it as mil-spec. Problem here is I do not have the tools and skills for molding I can provide the material if someone here knows a shop that does this. Believe me there is a ton of this stuff. More than enough to go around if someone is able to make the parts.
