I want to say "yes" it will, but I'd contact Ross at MML to get the answer for sure... And for the record, I've got the parts and am doing the Q45. If I were starting from Scratch, I'd buy a quaiffe equipped R200 with numerically low gears (In the 3.3 to 3.5 range) in it and NOT do the Q45. It's complexity and weight aren't worth it, in my opinion. Mike

You aren't obligated to pay for anything. It's your word against his, and it won't be worth his time to take you to small claims court. The stand-up thing to do would be to offer to pay to Repair the wheel for him. If he doesn't accept that, then tell him to have a nice life. Mike

So I needed to get the pistons just a tad lighter :)

Sorry Larry... I couldn't resist... I'm going to start watching a few of the members that posted in this particular thread... One in particular, really... My car has been out of commission for 7 years. Want to comment on my build while you're at it, BG??? We're all friends here. So let's keep it friendly... And before you post more nonsense like you posted in this thread, you better EDUCATE yourself, because the comments you made about weakening the rotating assembly clearly show you need more time in the classroom and LESS bench racing... You're on notice bubbleguinea! Mikelly -

I got pulled over on Friday, due to my loud exhaust on the Porsche... Told the nice young man to write me, but the exhaust wasn't coming off the car, due to mechanical issues it would cause... He laughed and said have a nice day! Mike

Truly sad indeed... What amazes me is how many talented pro racers we've lost over the years to piloting small planes/ helicopters... Sad day indeed. Mike

Tony, YOU'RE out of line. You made your point initially, but this last response serves no purpose, other than to fan the flames. Edit: LARRY, We both locked it at the same time... CLASSIC! Mike Kelly

...What to get the wife. Jewlry seems like a cop-out, and anything I thought of, she had... So I checked off another item on her "list of things to do" before she dies... Mike

They're very common, but not in the economy GI-HUGE size! I've seen some big damned spiders in my day, and I'm no fan of them in general, but they do a wonderful job of keeping down the bug population, so I tend to just steer clear of them when outside... It's when they get "inside" that the game gets serious... Mike

I must be getting kinder and gentler in my old age... Found a rather large arachnid in the woodpile earlier this week and I hit it with the flat side of the shovel I had, just to stun it... I pulled it out onto the concrete to measure it because I was amazed at the size... turned out to be 2.5 inches long and 1.75 inches WIDE... With 2.5 inch long legs... All 8 of them! Sadly, the hit did more damage than I'd expected...It died... But I'm here to tell you that WOLF spiders can get VERY large in Virginia... I'd have sworn it was a tarantula, had I not known I was in Virginia. Mike

HybridZ vs contemporary cars: RE: How Fast, really?
Mikelly replied to lesd's topic in Non Tech Board
You hit it on the head, Mark... Don't get me wrong... I love MY Z... I love it because it's a Z that I'm not trying to make be a Porsche 911TT. It's a Zcar... My expectations are within their limits, for a highly modified Zcar, not a Zcar that I wish were something else! Mike -
You see how much grass was stuffed in the beed of the tires??? Mike

Daniel, You touched on something important there... Maybe people need to learn how to search properly. I don't know if there needs to be an FAQ on searching, but that seems to be the last bit of useful instruction to aid in directing a member to HELP THEMSELVEs... The other thing that hasn't been touched on yet is the new members in question... Look gang, here's the deal. Bad behavior, as we've recently witnessed from a couple neewbs won't be tolerated. We have rules. Regarless of the fact that someone is told to "SEARCH", a new member getting upset and unloading, like we had earlier this week, simply won't be tolerated. It never has. Being polite and getting the HINT work well. Blasting members and admin staff for telling someone they need to search, or because they post something that they think is correct, then are corrected, then get mad and blast us, it just won't be tolerated. Again, We can try to be a bit more "friendly" in our recommendations to search, but it really is upon the members to be smart enough to use the technology, or to NOT GET AN ATTITUDE because they aren't smart enough or are to lazy to use the technology. We try to promote higher education. We also try to promote a level of participation that requires members to use the technology, build their respective projects, then come back and share what they learned in their experiences. Ultimately we want people to be here who want to do the above... Mike

We will never make everyone happy. Here's a comment I'll make right here and now... WE COULD BE WARM AND FUZZY. We COULD BE MORE POLITE. Sometimes WE DON'T have time. And for the record, I'd be happy, more than happy to say exactly everything I've ever typed, in a face to face environment with anyone on this board, previously banned or otherwise. I agree 110% that new members probably hate asking/ posting questions... But as has been posted by others, we're trying to help evolve new users. It's QUICKER for them, less painful for the readers, and a win/win/win for all involved... We can try and be nice, while toolshedding a thread, but it won't work... It never does... Here's a thought... Go out, get an ISP and a URL, start a site, and show us how YOU'D do it... I hear Mikellysux.com is available... Oh, And no more "texting", MMMKay? Mike

HybridZ vs contemporary cars: RE: How Fast, really?
Mikelly replied to lesd's topic in Non Tech Board
I've spent more than 6 months with my latest love, my 2001 996 Twin Turbo. Last weekend I spent three days at VIR lapping at very high speeds (160MPH on the long straights for 30 minutes at a time!), with the AC on, in 95-99 degree weather, running at the front of my group. Monday, I swapped the brakes and tires back to street fare, and drove it to work the last two days of this week... With leather, moon roof, CD changer, AC, cutting edge technology, this is the "Dream/Supercar" I always wanted in every Zcar I've owned. I ran some very fast laps, in a 3564# car, and have no illusions that the car "should be" XYZX weight... It's FAST, looks like an exotic, and does everything well. That's what I always wanted in my Zcar! I'm still looking for that Zcar. Mike -
Forgot to mention I also have the Bonecrusher... 2002 Yamaha WR250R w/Jets & pipe... It'll spit you off the back in 3rd... Ask me how I know... Paid $2250 for each of them, bought one in December and the other in January this past year... Mike

You may well have a failing pump, radiator starting to mist leak, or a failed cap... Also the t-stat could be the issue... Mike

The wheels on your girlfriend's dad's car are the same ones on my wife's BMW! Love the look on the Z31! Mike

front and rearend for sale.
Mikelly replied to stony's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
As I told Stony when I went to check this car out for him, If I were shopping for a pro-street chassis/ race car, I'd have bought it myself... It is one of the best built 1/4 mile chassis Zs I've seen. It was obvious to me that the previous owner spared little expense in making it safe and purpose built to do the job. Clint, glad I could assist, and wish I could have helped more there in the end, but it's been a very hectic month for me as well... Glad it worked out for you! Mike -

Kumho ecxta v700's on clearance!

If you think the ecsta MX is sticky, then you'll lose your mind over something with a lower UTQG. Trust me! Mike -
Sara, I'll have HybridZ's submittal for car of the month to you shortly! Look forward to working with you! Mike Kelly

Kumho ecxta v700's on clearance!
Mikelly replied to russ in va's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I ran Ecsta MXs on my modified vette without issues... They were as good as any other 220UTQG tire I've owned... But again, As Clifton pointed out, they're a STREET tire... I did manage to run a couple of track days on them and, although they were NOT hoosier slicks, they allowed me to still run down a ferrari 355 F1, several other corvettes, and a viper... Some of which were on slicks... Just tried to order some of the 265-35-18s without success... they're availability isn't updated on the prices/sizing page, which sux. Mike -
If the Zcar wouldn't be the ticket, I'd go with the TT... It is heavier than the GT3, but I'm also putting down a LOT more power (Over 200BHP more) and the suspensions are setup similar... Jim's brakes are much better than mine though, as he's using the 6 piston/floating Cup car rotor setup. He's also running external reservoir Motons, where I'm running the PSS9 bilsteins, and he runs on true racing slicks, where I'm using dots... Jim's also become one hell of a shoe! Mike
