My best run from last year before i started breaking was an 11.1 at 127 mph. i was discouraged because i didnt atleast match that.
-
Im talking old long nose r-200s.
-
Im sure this question has been asked but i cant find it in the serach....Can i swap the gearset from a r200 non lsd diff to a LSD r200 diff? I would love to go to a 4.3 ring and pinion and they are readioly available in japan on non lsd cars.

im gonna be in contact with a friend in japan and probably go with a stock gtr unit. i currently have a sr20det disk with a gtr pressure plate. that was the only thing the junk yard had on hand. I wanted to stick with that setup thinking that the clutch would slip before anyuthing would break. well now after upgrading to these axles it is now the weak link. well it will be a while before im make another attemp.. gotta catch up on some of the bills incurred by the money pit. maybe about mid summer i will make it out again. Today was kinda discouraging. i thought a 10 sec slip was in the bag

well it held up to a 4500rpm launch with lots of wheel spin before i would have broke a shaft. on teh second run decreased tire pressure launched the same and improved my time to 11.4 @ 125 MPH.. 3rd run decided to lower tire pressure to 20 psi do a good burnout and try the same launch. It launched hard but when i power shifted into 2nd the clutch let go ;<. Im pretty confident the rear will hold now i need a clutch ... time to call japan

my car is as lite as its gonna get... fiberglass bumpers front and rear. with a small peice of metal holding them on, fiberglass seat, fiberglass hood, gutted out dash only holds gages. i should shed a few pounds with the new wheels currently have the stock z31 cast wheel on.

ok now i have ride hiegth adjusted here are the specs. left front 690 right front 690 left rear 660 right rear 660 for a total wieght of 2700 im thinking with custom motor mounts moving the engine back an inch or so the car would be 50/50 ;> that is real surprising. I thought the engine would be alot heavier more like a 60/40 ratio. with that said this car wouldnt be half bad for road racing either not sure why total changed maybe the scales im using arnt calibrated that close. im still waiting on wheels and tires so when they are installed and final stance is set might change a little more. i may have to bring the rear up a little if im guessing right this will move a little bit of weight to the front

camber plates would fix the camber problem im using z32 turbo calipers with z31 rotors up front and z31 for everything in the rear. -
sdsefi.com not sure who told you about the tt harness but sounds like kinda bull to me. they are totally different engines.

i can relate to his story... I'm not a famous yahoo just a mech in the air force... every once and a while we get rides. and i tell you this much i will never take another one again. my story pretty much follows his My flight left elmendorf air force base with a normal takeoff. i was the jet that goes verticle in a missing man formation. ... anyways we take off im really surprised at how close everyone is flying. we get about 10 min into the flight and he asks me if i wanna pull some Gs. I dont really want to ... i know what will happen. but i said yes... we procede to pull a g manuver that exverted 8.7 g.s on my body, we level out turn right and pull 9.1 for about 10 seconds.... i almost passed out. we level out im felling fine taking in the schenery thinking this isnt all that bad when i had this burp that was like when you eat too much and burp and alittle stuff comes up. I thought to myself maybe i should get a bag out. from that point it was all i could do to get that bag out in time to catch to stuff coming out;< we flew straight and level for about 10 minutes,.... flew right over mt McKinnley as i was peeking out around the bag wrapped around my face thinking wow this would be cool if i wasnt puking my brains out ;> ok its over im felling better. now its time for the flyby so we turn back towards base. We are about 2 minutes out when the call comes the 10 minute speech has just started. so we had to wait. we had to start flying circles out over the bay. I was very concerned now as the 4 ship was so close i could read small print under the jets and could jump from one wing to another. the pilot tells me we are going to have to fly the tight 3 g circle until the call comes to head in. well about 2 minutes into this i start hurling again. nothing comes out, i had purged everything about 10 min earlier. I proceded to dry heave for another 10 minutes until we leveled out and head in. we were at something like 6000 Feet on the way in when i remembered the flyby was going to be at 1000 feet. i could see the groups of people gathered when the bottom fell out as we decnded to 1000 feet for the fly by. i immediatly started puking again and did so all the way thru the vertical climb to 15000 feet thinking how cool it was that even though i was upside down my puke was staying in the bag. Well landing was uneventful as we pulled into EOR (end of runway inspection) i starting again and didnt stop till just before we pulled into chocks. the pilot had allready called the jet as Code 1 and the backseater (me ) code 3. I though i was going to be ok.... not... it took me 10 minutes to get out of the jet. once out, i stood on what felt like a trampoline for 5 min. i walked towards the debrief building which turned out to be a brisk walk so i could make it to the can ... you guessed it had to puke again. i spent another 10 min in the can. Now drenched in sweat i change back into my normal uniform and head to the car. its about a 20 drive home... i had to pull over twice.. yep you guessed again had to puke... i was afraid a cop would come by and think i was drunk ;< well i finally make it home and yes you guessed headed to the bathroom where i spent the next 30 minutes. this was on a friday i slept for 16 hours and didnt feel 100% until monday when i went back to work. If any of you have had a drunk that made you sick for more then 2 days (I have) this is exactly what it felt like. I was kinda upset i had to expeience the massive hangover of being really drunk and not get to have the fun of the night before ;> well thats my story not quite as good as above but it my story ;> P.S. i will never ever fly in a fighter again. My life would have to depend on it to do it again... even then i would have to think about it for bit

You can’t swap them so they point in... They have to point out. You will have to trim the brake shielding for them to fit. You will also more then likely have to use a washer to pull the ball joint up hi enough into the socket. As for the length of the extension I’m not sure. heres what I did. I cut the tierod and put a small tack weld on the surface of the rod. then I slipped a piece of chomoly tubing over the rod . this allowed the tube to fit tight enough that I had to use slight force with a hammer to get the adjustment right. you could also put a small crease or something to get it to bind Alltel. Now I assembled the tierods and bolted them together and adjusted the toe till I had a slight amount of toe out and enough threads to adjust it out and still have good thread engagement. Once I was satisfied everything was right I removed the rack and took it back to the welder and had it tig welded. Something you also have to be concerned with is if your using stock control arms you may get allot or extra camber as I think the stock z31 control arms are longer then the stock s30. Also the caster is different ... so much so you can actually see that the wheels moved aft in the wheelwell. I just adjusted this out with the TC rod on the AZC control arms. Initial measurements looked good on the alignment machine. I will have final measurement by the end of the week when I have my new wheels installed and the car sitting at the ride height I want. Let me know how it goes. fell free to ask questions, as you need to this is still fresh in my head ;> -
me too. i was going to make one out of aluminum since i have some argon left ..... get some thin wall pipe 3 inch or so in diameter weld caps on it and drill and tap it for some male an fittings and a breather an walla you have a oil catch can. Most metal suppliers will let you go thru remnants for free ;>

JAPAN!!!!! if you know someone ... but if you get a real watt in that size your looking at 500-700 a wheel and that in the 15 inch 16 and 17 s are even more expensive

the rb25 r33 5 speed is more then strong enough to handle the rb26 i would love to upgrade to a tricked out auto...would for sure make the car faster ;>
