  1. I kinda dont like the way it looks right now im looking in to how expensive a set of cobra R wheels will cost. i want the 17X10 in the rear with like a 16x8 in teh front. if they fit right i will go with them but i dont think im going to be able to get the 17X10s in the correct offset.
  2. well the reason the wheels look that is because i had to use 1 1/4 spacer to clear the new z32 calipers. otherwise the wheelbase stayed the say.
  3. i think it will hold....The new clutch was slipping alittle bit but it may be because i was letting my foot sit in the pedal between shifts. with the cage im a little closer to the pedals now and have to concentrate on keeping my foot off the pedal
  4. ive got over 20K in mine and still have no interior and a rear end that will be questionable at best at the track. If i do it again i will start with the chassis first before i get it running. otherwise you will be pulling it apart time and time again to upgrade drivetrain parts. I would find a relatively rust free shell, connect the frame rails. Install a 10pt + cage. a custom narrowed c-5 vette rear with steel shafts. and a 3 speed glide. then get the electronics and motor stuff installed.
  5. hey use an extra washer to pull the tierod thru alittle more and it also gives you a couple more treads. thats what i did on mine. [/img]
  6. id like to see them. do they replace the rubber part too? or do you still use the stock rubbers or urethane mounts.
  7. well its almost done. got it aligned washed and waxed it today. carpet will go in in a month or so. enjoy
  8. never heard of them. the rb swap is very popular in japan somewhat like the v-8 is in the states.
  9. SDS is easy .... if you have the stock computer and harness and dont plan on do any mods to teh stock engine stick with teh ecu and get it wired up . but if you plan on modifying it at all sds is the way to go cheap and easy to tune. no laptop required.
  10. if it has the intake manifold going over the top you will have to make mounts that sitt the motor extra low so it will clear the hood.
  11. removed the tranny tonight and looked at the clutch. it was the worst smelling car part i have ever delt with. next to burnt diff oil it is the worst. at any rate the clutch is done. I am so fricken close to getting an adapter and going auto. powerglide maybe.
  12. its not the same bigger in diameter and wont work;<

    RB what?

do not take this bad but if you go to the search option and type in rb26dett, rb26, gtr that should answer all your quetions
  14. ok heres a question... how much play should there be in the input shaft of the diff where the driveshaft hooks up???? I'm talking rotational type of play where you turn the driveshaft from just as the wheels start to move to the other side where the wheels start to move the other direction. mine has 1/8 inch rotation before it engages in both directions. the other diff i have on the floor has virtually no play????? if bad what is causing this and is it fixable?
  15. im only swapping gears not the diff it self
  16. i always bring a camera just no way to put it in the computer yet ;<

  18. AAHHHHH HAAAAA google rocks http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/R33_spec.htm
  19. hmm now all i need is tranny ratios ;< I take it it cant be figured with out that??? thanks for the links though.. as soon as i get the ratios should be cake ;>
  20. Hey i saw in the an SDU thread you installed a OS twin..... so you still have the stock gtr disk. junk or not just curious what the diameter is on it. Im thinking about trying a z32TT clutch disc as long as its the same spline count and not bigger in diameter then the GTR's.
  21. Ok here's what i need. im currently running 275 50 15 they are 26.1 inches in diameter. my rearend is a 390. i bearly get to shift into 4th as i cross the line. I tried a set of 225 50 15s that were 23.9 inches in diameter adn this gave me the desired affect of almost have to shift into 5th going across the line. I like the 275 50 15s and would like to run these at teh track. not only do they wrok better but dont look as stupid as teh tiny 225s. what gearing would i have to change to that would be the same as going to a 23.9 inch diameter tire>? any other info required to complete this word problem? BTW the smaller tires also yeilded the faster 11.1 @ 127 mph
  22. Hey i remember someone was talking a z32 clutch was the same spline count as the rb26 but i cant find it anymore. Anyone have there clutch accessable to see if the z32 clutch will fit? i want to be able to use a cheaper replacement clutch till i can get my hands on a twin plate.
