  5. or custom mounts that set the motor really low. then your oil pan is really exposed under the car
  6. I dont remember where i saw it but anywhere that can do it right dips the body in several vats including metal prep and primer.
  7. if you have the money rb26 is the way to go. the 2.0 and 2.5 can be made powerful but are not as reliable as the 2.6. If you want a peppy ride the 2.0 is good. but the sr20 is a lot lighter and about the same power. the 2.5 is also good and can make some serios power with bolt ons. ultimatley its up to ... all the motors need some fabrications to fit but are well worth the effort.
  8. if i order a fuel cell with a gm sender will it work with the stock z gage or will i need a new gage???
  9. i tuned mine on a dyno. took about 3 hours and got 382 rwhp from a rb26 with the same junkyard plugs and 15 psi on pump gas (92 oct) when the weather is nice i drive mine to work everyday no problems getting about 20-25 mpg

  12. has anyone seen the new wheels were the centers spin even when the car is stopped? I saw them on a new escalade. i had to slow down and check them out. thought i was seeing things the car was barely moveing but the centers were spinning really fast. then when he stopped i figured it out. they came to a complete stop and then when he started to move the centers started spinning really slow ;> i know for sure i would never buy them but they did look cool on teh escalade.
  13. well i have had enough for today. next step is the door bars and finishing all the welding up.
  14. well i have made a little progress since the last pics. i came to the conclusion that a stright back bar was not an option in my case. It would be putting my chest to close to the wheel. I ran tw bars from the main hoop where the back bar would normally tie in and ran them both diagonally back to the center of the rear strut bar. i will add some pics as soon as my camera battery charges ;>
  15. mine should be done in a week or so i will take pics as i reassemble. mine was a little expensive but i dont have the s30 stubs anymore ... i modded the struts to accept z31 stubs and made custom length cv axles. I was going to do the above mod but did not want the next weak link to be the stubs that was kinda scary to me ;> more to come
  16. 392RWHP @ 15 psi and 680 CC injectors. Best 1/4 11.1 @ 127 MPH axle mod satill in work should get a 10 sec run this year.... if the axle hold up. my track up here in alaska dosnt open till april 11th and we just got 4 inches of snow last night ;<
  17. im using the stock supply and return line for the 260 . works fine for me. probably will need bigger stuff once i go with bigger injector and turbo ;>

  19. by the way FC had viscous diffs clutch types were aftermarket stuff
  20. it generally takes 500rwhp to the wheels to break an axle on the FC so if installed in a z would be quite strong. but i hope your engineering skills are good ;>
