    Mark, Agreed.... the only area that i can think that a AWD z would have over a well balenced z like yours would be on regular roads. On any prepped tracked whether it be drag or road course the AWD kinda loses it advantage. BTW IF i were ever to try an AWD z car using the GTR drivtrain it would be with a setup like yours. that would be the easiest way to do it.

    Any chassis will require chassis stiffening. The 240 more so then the 280 but either will be twisted into a pretzel by a rb without it. In my first version of the rb 260 the bone stock rb26 i had in it started to twist the chassis. The evidence was above the 1/4 windows. Waves and cracks in the body told me i need to put in a decent cage before i did anymore damage.

    Other then the cell not have a rock shield what is dangerous about it. Agreed on the hoop. To be legal and functional it needs to be like 12-18 inches behind the yoke. Great build BTW

    Ray, When we did my subtle z rears we used the stuff that corvette uses to bond all there body parts to the frame. Worked really well. We dry fit them to where we wanted them then used the 3m stuff and screws to fasten the 1/4s to the body. Then we Filled in all the gaps (body and fiberglass fenders) with the bonding material. it was something from 3m. I will shoot my buddy an email to get a part number or something if you want it.

    I have been reading on the AEM series 2. Seems there are a few tricks to getting the boost solenoid to work. i don't know what they are but it seem most people have issues getting it to work. Let me know what you find as i will probably have the same issues ;>

    I was using 5:12 s in the black Z. with 31 inch tires and the powerglide.

    The only speed i have recorded is 147MPH. that was at about 8000 rpm. i have redlined it before so im guessing 155+

    Still looking. Got a little busy at work but still need a passenger side exterior door handle for a 77 280.

    Same as above... i don't smoke so i pulled the ashtray insert and when there is no drink just slide the cover over the hole!!!! the drag car has no cup holder or ashtray ;>

    Tap and air is what i have always used to clean out threads of locktite. you for sure don't want to leave it in there.

    Hmm that sounds like valves. Hope it’s just that they need shimmed... who did the shimming? The other thing is I have seen valves drop on initial startup due to the retainers not being fully seated. That doesn’t seem to be your case as it seems like its idling pretty good.

    Agreed^^^^^^ I used them for my RB harness. I'm pretty sure they do or can do a V-8 harness. They built my custom harness with a few phone conversations and it fit perfect.
