  1. Hmmm driving in today i noticed i sit on the left side of the car. GTR is obviilously right side. anyone ever address the rack and pinion and how to make a GTR front suspension left hand dirve?
  2. Nevermind it is on. Just reread the instructions because the start sync thing sounded familiar. Start sync cycles on as you crank the motor and it does that. I also have voltage at the coils. SO i guess i'm dead in the water till my igniter gets here. I guess i could rewire for the rb igniter and try the semi good one i have just to be sure it starts???
  3. Just checked and it shows off. is it supposed to be on?
  4. I will check when i get home. I loaded the rb26 map that supposedly was on a running car so everything should be on that is required for the car to run. You could save me some time by showing me a screenshot of what your talking about. Remember your talking to a AEM newbie ;>
  5. Well the Z32 igniter I have has an unknown background. So not really sure just guessing since i wasnt getting any spark. If i remember correctly there are 3 wires to each coil. ground, power and 5v signal? i will check them today when i get home.
  6. Is it a z32 igniter? i had my new harness built for Z32 igniters
  7. Thanks. I did a modified test from the video. Basically hooked up a HEI spark tester, turned off the fuel system and turned the cas with ignition on. all injectors are firing just no spark. I'm assuming its the ignitor. any other suggestions on what to check.
  8. Thanks, but ultimately i have to thank Yury are Wiring Specialties for making me a custom harness for my application. If it wasnt for my bum ignitor i'd be on the dyno by now. ;< on hold for the new one to come in.
  9. Its there just cant see it in the last pic. i also have all the wiring tucked under the fuel rail.
  10. Finally found this in teh 91 300zx FSM. anyone care to translate??
  11. Is there a procedure for this. I swapped over to a Z32 ignitor and now the car wont start. also changed EMS and Engine harness. IM 99.9% sure the harness is good (new) and the AEM EMS is communicating with my laptop. the only questionable thing is a used Z32 PTU. i would like to test to know for sure its bad before buying another to find out it still wont start. I downloaded the FSM for the z32 and but could not find a procedure. both over 800 pages so i may have missed it.
  12. Got the new wiring specialties engine harness installed the way i wanted today, then tore it all back out to get the intake manifold IAT bung welded in. The AEM sensor is allot bigger then the stock gtr IAT ;<. Hope to have The car running again by sat !!!
  13. Wiring specialties Harness came in today and it fit perfect. It literally only took me about 10 minutes to lay it over the motor, feed it thru the firewall and plug everything in. all that is left is power and ground and a few other wires and it will be ready to crank. I still need to remove the intake and get a IAT sensor bung welded in and when i do that i'm going to tuck the harness up under the fuel rail. Once that is done you will hardly see any harness at all. Very happy with the quality overall and now that i have it installed would highly recommend to anyone doing a swap to just get a swap harness. it makes the swap SOOOOOO much easier. Pics to follow by the weekend.
  14. Here is what i'm talking about with doing a tube chassis. if you have all the measurements i don't know why this couldn't be done relatively easy. If done right you could just bolt in the r32/33 front so the front wheels are in the center of the wheel well. Oh boy i'm getting the itch.
  15. You know whats funny is in japan most Japanese want the all amber taillights. I found a set that was in mint condition 10 or so years ago for 50 bucks!!! They were stolen when my car was in chassis jail
  16. Is that a custom hood or is available to the masses?
  17. The Arizona z radiator has worked great for my rb setup.
  18. No patch harness. Basically a stock harness that was custom built for my application. Will plug directly into the AEM EMS>
  19. Woo Hooo my wiring specialties rb26 engine harness shipped today so hope to be able to update with some dyno figures and video very soon!!!! I was going to just get a stock rb26 harness and modify it. Then i came across wiring specialties. I told them what i needed and they were very happy to help. My harness shipped today . I have been talking with Yuri at Wiring specialties and I have to say their customer service is awesome. I would highly recommend to anyone if you have any kind of rb/sr, or any other swap for that matter, in mind check them out. The daunting job of wiring a swap will be made allot easier not to mention I will have a new harness with all new connectors and not have to worry about a 20 year old wire harness!!!!
  20. I was just looking at this yesturday adn they worked. may be a photobucket issue. Check back tomorrow
  21. Before you do that make sure there isnt a spacer inside the diff. When i did mine there was a metal spacer in the middle and once i got it out the stubs fit fine!!!!
  22. I had to notch my strut tower to fit the T-88 with the gready manifold.
