  1. you're not seeing things, thats what happened. so the general consensus is the valves were to tight? and thats what caused it? in that pic, where the "ends" of the lobe are supposed to be, and it looks like it's missing the center section, well IT IS!!!! the green square is what is missing.
  2. ever since a year ago the car has been getting slower and slower, and now i know why, not that the carbs are leaking, but the cam is screwed. went to run the valves today, pulled the valve cover and found this! now i have to find out what cam it is, the only markings i can see on it is CWC D1. what the hell caused this? not breaking it in? improper lash spacing?
  3. on mine, 11 psi at idle, around 850-1000, depends on motor temp. at "indicated" it's about 38, at 6k its around 70 or so. factory oil pumps, or turbo pumps put out 11 psi at idle, according to the service manuals
  4. im going far beyond anything legal in any class, well for its at least
  5. well, im not sure what rebello does on their shaft bushings eitherm i know what ztherpy does to theres and i have some similar work done to mine on the car now, aside from the custom needles. the rebello seems to be getting more cfm out of them, im trying to keep it simple and reliable, i don't feel the need to rejet the car every two weeks with triples
  6. Su question. the ITS modded su's from ztherapy, or the full out race modded from rebello. same price on both of them. anyone have experience on either side of these?
  7. im interested in the triples if/when you guys get read to sell em
  8. ohhhhh, i have a good use for that
  9. lol oh no, just using the spare blocks i have, those are easier and chaper to come by! hehehe thanks man
  10. holy hell batman! sent a reply back via e-mailage
  11. mom'sz heartland park topeka. lil race track in kansas.
  12. actually there is a deal here that allows you to run any car on the road course called road warriors. it's held once a month. thats what im aiming for. first couple laps you have an instructor with you. but after that. it's all you. this is where i plan on starting
  13. im not going for any legal classes with it, full blown race tires on work wheels, roughly 1900 lbs dry weight, give or take a few lbs here and there. with the motor im building it won't be legal for any class in the technical sense, so i might as well go the whle 9 yards and then some. sorry, im new to the road racing thing, i find it to be much more fun then auto-x where i can actually use my motor, and brakes fr more then a minute at a time.
  14. wow. you guys are a peach! lemmie tell ya. can you sense sarcasm too? or is it clicks and whistles. going for a coil over set up with custom springs, going for a rough lb estimate for the corners. AZ z car corner set up. caged, gutted, the 10 yards of fun. a purpose built race car. is there anything else i need to say? shoe size? the color of my eyes? the color of the car? the barometric pressure?
  15. going on a 240, series 1 if it makes a difference. im just going for a rough estimate on spring rates. and i did search and came up empty
  16. looking for some rough numbers on spring rates, front and rear. just going for a random idea for future plans with my z car
  17. the only reason i got away with that timing was the fuel mix. i made changes here and there and came up with 192 rwhp after the 7th pull. then backed it down to 35-36 degree's which came out to be about 182 and added some fuel to it for pump gas safety. balls out 192 rwhp. pansie mode, anywhere between 170-180. not quite the level you're at, but ya know. i found more fuel control tweeks here and there, and a few su tricks here and there that helped a ton
  18. the 280 chassis is also stiffer due to added frame support and random other things. but also makes it heavier. which can be overcome by shear power

  20. BRAAP i sent you an e-mail a while back, maybe a week or so about head work.
