  1. well, it all depends on what the owner of the car wants to do at this time. he is torn between a gvr4 with a bunch of goodies on it, vs a stock jdm motor that i want to use. pices will vary on which he goes with. the jdm you're lookin at 1k, the gvr4, not sure
  2. i may have a 6 bolt forsale here with in a couple weeks or so. i'll keep ya posted if you need one shipping is going to run about 200 bucks though
  3. the magical disappearing threads! good work. im doing good to keep myself with paying bills and putting money back for the head work. it gets harder and harder to do with every pic i see of your work
  4. three options vent the wastgate smaller downpipe convert it to external gate
  5. maybe i'll get some spacers through work, say 1/4 inch or so to give me a little slack and see what happens
  6. hmmm, i have run mine very hard numerous times and never had one problem. highway races from 45-140. over and over again during the summer, for a good 4 miles at least. no vapor issues on my end. then again. this system was thrown together to get it moving, and seems to do pretty good. the pump has a built in return. maybe thats it. next fuel system will have a return
  7. just to add it is 4.5 inches from the hub to the lip of the wheel on the back side.
  8. offset 4.5 inches on a 15x8 wheel not runnin coil overs car is lowered {a lot} is that makes an difference yay or nay bolt on, or need spacers
  9. alignment is off. i never had one problem out of the awd dsm's that i owned in snow, ice, or anything. then again they will torque steer around 400 awhp. but thats besides the point. i know that my gsx wouldn't take off straight at a stop light, it would actually go directly to the right. got used to this and counteracted it. awd, 4wd, usually don't go 100% true in snow and ice anyways.
  10. to keep it from warping, you have to weld in a lot of braces. a dsm i worked on here in KC, we had to redo some of their welds. and add about 3 braces to keep it in shape. not impressed with anything that has come out of that shop in general
  11. alrighty, build an exact replica of a 70 zg. what im needing is color options {paint} interior options {color} and does anyone have a pic of the engine bay in color for a OEM zg? or series 1? im going to exactness for a show winning model car again. also, where the jdm tails on the zg all red? and only the euro cars got the red and amber color scheme? went through this stuff back in 99 with a gnx model. trying to do it again thanks for the help B
  12. the fender mirrors were used to fit into japanese width requirements. useless info i wouldn't mind having some myself, but knowing my luck, some honda boy would steal em
  13. put it to ya like this in a talon tsi i had a couple years back. i had water injection on it. 180k miles on original motor, 24 psi on stock ported 14b, a ported manifold, hard pipe kit, k&n filter, modded mas air, 3 inch turbo back exhaust pulled a nice 108 mph. for less then 500 bucks in mods. now the 24 psi was on 110 octane. im a HUGE FAN of water injection. it gave me a chance to run silly amounts of timing {close to 30 degrees under full boost} at this boost level. i can go into more detail if need be. but this should give you a good idea on what water injection can do. if it can do that on a high mileage turbo motor, imagine what you could do on a fresh L series! as far as your problem. stock efi systems compensate for cooler air, standalones do not. {at least the ones im used to messin with} so. with the Ms system, im not sure if you can do multiple maps, like for warm temps, medium temps, race gas, pump piss, cold, or something of that sort
  14. after the bov. ran quite a few nitrous kits, installed an a$$ ton of them
  15. id really love to put a knock sensor on my L series. especially after some more of the extreme hp mods im going to be doing
  16. yulp butt dyno tuning is not a way to do it. what are the a/f's through out idle to max rpm?
  17. surging, or you need to either tinker with the timing map, or add fuel

    for what i want to do, a act can do it, while handling 462 ft lbs. and i can get the kit for under 200 bucks through my work there is a thing of being cheap, but being cheap and getting good stuff. dunno, more or less going for opinions on what people thought about those three
  19. yea that same question centerforce dual friction exedy series act {i think they have em for the s30 cars} has to handle 400 ft lbs what would YOU put in your car to handle 400 ft lbs {ie turbo, nitrous guys}
  20. sounds like my car, thermostat was stickin. so i flushed the system, same thing. got a new thermostat, self made 160 degree sucker. 5 grand in 4th gear, it gets colder!!! sweet thought id share. back toyour regularly scheduled post
