  1. Luck to ya! You can always open a side wall and expand the garage. Say maybe a nice work area for tools and shop equipment leaving the main garage floor open.
  2. Yeah what everyone else said. Leave the car alone when it comes home and take care of yourself. If we could only turn back the clock. It sucks getting old!
  3. The finned rear cover will get you the added bonus of extra volume without having to mess with an external oil tank. Also look at using a synthetic gear lube. This will also be a benefit for cooling. Very nice work!
  4. Fuel dilution??? Does the oil smell of fuel? When oil and water mix it looks like milk, kind of tanish. What weight was the royal purple you started with?
  5. So Joe when are we going boating? bastaad, what kinda work are you looking for and how far are you willing to drive? As Joe said, if you need something let us know. Welcome to our wOuNdErFuL state. . .
  6. Bump I too would like some info on the rear flares please.
  7. Wait until you have a bat and can roll the car. A bat or pipe work well.
  8. Ok, I’ll start by suggesting this product. There are several others that would also apply Explore and read some specs. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/tro.aspx?zo=314844
  9. I have used a die grinder to remove all sorts of mountings and panels. Just grind down the spot welds until you can start to lift off the bracket (or whatever) you are removing. Then just lightly grind the blur left down smooth. Using this methood leaves the panel smooth without digging any wholes. Just take your time and you will have a good outcome.
  10. Is this still a good part # in the UK?
  11. Since the server issue a couple weeks ago this site and pages have been very slow to load. I have not commented on this until now but it’s like I went back to dial up after having a high speed connection. I don’t experience this with other sites.
  12. If you go to the Air Tabs link posted earlier you would see that the air flows into the v-shaped section not the pointed end.
  13. One thing I haven`t heard you speak of yet Mike. The guest house by the lake for your friends to come visit. Good luck with it all.
  14. Did you recover your trailer or get another? Enjoy!
  15. Some pix of my cowl panel mod here http://24.254.252.164:9565/ZCar.htm I had thought of putting a small lip at the end of the hood (close to the windshield) to help throw air over the windshield. ??? I don`t run wipers unless its raining. The 280 hood vents are for removing hot air from the engine compartment at slow speeds and stopped. I will probably reinstall the non-vented inspection lids to keep air from being sucked in at speed. It was really just a fabrication project.
  16. Try submitting the same info you sent the other oil companies to Amsoil technical services using the link below. http://www.amsoil.com/techservices.aspx I would be interested to see what they have to say and recommend.
  17. I am not getting notification from all posts, just a couple.
  18. I`m sure it wont be like Cali, but for us here its bad. Again, our major roadways are out dated. They have not grown along with all of the population increase.
  19. What is the time set before someone gets logged off. I have been logged off several times going through reading and posting.
  20. The Hampton Roads area covers Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Williamsburg. I would stay away from Norfolk, Hampton, Suffolk and Portsmouth. The Virginia Beach area is very congested. The average rent for apartments run $600 to $1500 depending on location and size. You can rent a home with a yard for about the same price as renting an apartment. Home prices range from $150,000 (around 1250 sq foot house) and up. This area has grown quite abit over the last few years and traffic sucks due to our limited/out dated roadways. We do have 4 seasons of weather here which is ok. Where I am at in Newport News, I am about 1 hour from Virginia Beach (the beach front) and about 1 hour from Richmond. Fredericksburg (Mikelly`s place) is a 1.5 hour ride from me.
  21. Is this a fresh rebuild or a old engine? Old engine, maybe worn bearings with to much clearance??? This may not solve this issue but would help in testing when the oil pressure drops. Find a second valve cover and cut the top center out about 3" wide and full length. Get a small piece of plexiglass to cover the gap cut in the v/c. Use some sealant/adhesive and cover the top of the valve cover with it. Put it on the car and you will be able to see the oiling taking place on the top side of the engine. I had a problem with dropping oil pressure after the engine came up it temp. Mine ended up bearing main bearing clearance was to tight. Very small particles of bearing material wiped out a comp cam and rockers and oil pump. Again, just some ideas.
