  1. I think it's unique to the 78. My Datsun wiring harness has a 2 prong plug.
  2. Here’s a picture of the stock Datsun water temperture sender installed into the LS1 block. http://www.circuitflex.com/WaterTemp.jpg Here’s a picture of the stock Oil Pressure Switch installed into the LS1 block (had to shave a bolt a bit). Thanks MAS280! http://www.circuitflex.com/OilSwitch.jpg
  3. Installed the trial version, works fine. I like the learn feature, much better than Zone Alarm.
  4. Ross has been having ongoing computer trouble I believe. I got an email from him last week explaining it. If you try him now I thing you'll find you will get an answer in a couple of day's. I think the wait is worth it.
  5. Anybody here ever have any experience with the Kerio Personal Firewall? I am considering using an aftermarket one instead of the crappy old XP one. I have used Zone Alarm with good success, but it has it's moments so I was looking at Kerio.
  6. Question 1. No, there are only GM blocks. The LS6 block will work fine as will the LS1. You can buy blocks on ebay or you can go to one of the LS1 boards and possibly get a used block for a good price. Question 2. No, they are completly different. My opinion is to find a good used complete LS1/T56 from a 2001 or newer fbody to do your conversion with and trash the blown up shortblock or part it out.
  7. The stock clutch pedal with a willwood 1 3/4 cylinder with the stock plunger put into it is the route I'm taking for my LS1/T56. Here's a thread. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=96953
  8. Nice detail on the web site. I'm very impressed by your work. I wish I was half as talented as you are. Those wheels look nice with the 225's. I'm gonna get the pans or the rewinds too.
  9. Why not go with Ross at Modern Motersports, he has alot of knowledge when it comes to Z cars. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/default.php I'm going to be running his 175/225 10" coilovers on my LS1 280.
  10. I have not done the seats yet, but it does not look very hard. The foam has to be shaped a bit to fit perfectly and I'm going to add some strapping for support in the seat. I dont have to have perfect, I just want to do it myself, that's the point for me. Make sure you get new foam too! It's like 80 bucks a seat. Once you have the kit, you could get one of the upholdstry shops to put it in.
  11. The vette and the camaro are different, the vette has a torque tube that runs to the rear and that's where the tranny is. The camaro is more conventional and has the tranny mounted to a bellhousing. The camaro setup is what you want, although you might be able to make the vette setup work but you would have to fab it up yourself and may require the use of the vette rear end. The changeover to the camaro would be simple, just purchase the stuff from a junkyard or ebay and bolt it on. Then go to http://www.brokenkitty.com/zcar/zcar.htm and get the mount kit, JTR for the radiator and headers http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Parts_DATZ_Radiator.html , Jegs for the proper clutch master, Jegs for the electric speedo and tach, speartech for a harness http://www.speartech.com/ , speed inc. for the fuel pump, earls for all the fittings. Exactly what pieces do you have?
  12. I bought the A4's and had to modify the sholder area by bending it in a little to get it to fit centered. That was ok, but the seat is still too high and the only way I see to fix it is to cut the mounts out of the frame and weld on some shorter bracing. I dont want to cut on the car so I have decided to rebuild the original seats and remove the A4's. I got the foam kit and covers from MSA http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=SIC102 . I think you can do it yourself without too much trouble, and the quality of the covers looks good. Now if I could just work out something for replacing those crappy seat belts.

I know Ross at Modern Motorsports shortens the shafts by turning one of the housings around to avoid binding problems. A search might turn up the procedure. He might have some details on his site. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/default.php
  14. It's nice. My wife went through numerous chemo's and had to get up and go to the bathroom like 4 or 5 times per 6 hr session. She just took her pole and bag with her because they were on wheels. The IV cart disconnecting easily is an asset. Also warm blankets provided by the hospital were a huge help as she got cold just sitting there and the hospital is like 68 degrees all the time.
  15. 3rd gear at 6000 with a 3.7 rear is around 88 mph for a T56 with stock tires. But I could see doing that on a straight clear road. I sure they were impressed by the small amount of time it took to get there.
  16. I'm wild by myself, but always show respect for others riding with me, I've been the passenger seat a few times and wanted to leave the car so because of that I just watch it with others.
  17. Oops, just checked, they dont have them listed for the 240's. And I meant Advanced Auto, not Autozone.
  18. Got mine at autozone. They have the turn signal, but not the headlight switch.

  21. For run of the mill I go for Pilsner Urquell (pronounced er-kwell). I do make my own ale and wine. I love lots of hops! I wanted to start growing some hops last year but got side tracked. My favorite wine to date was my homemade Pineapple wine. That stuff was dry with a great pineapple flavor.
  22. Quote from wheelman: DaleMX, You might want to reconsider using 1/4" for a return line. I'm running an LT1 and the feed and return lines at the rails are 3/8" and 5/16" respectively. I would think an LS1 will need lines at least as big. Thanks, I measured the lines supplied by Speed Inc. for my setup and they are 3/8 and 5/16. Your right, a small return line would build pressure and make me run rich or burn up my pump.
