  1. The only type of A/F meters that I am aware of run off of the exhaust. It's a wideband O2 sensor and only works well when heated up to operating temp. See the link below. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm1.php

    Gas prices

It's simple supply and demand. They will charge whatever the public is willing to pay, and in their business they have you by the ba!!s. I have seen the price of gas change .25 in a day around here. We have 1 station that will kill the price quicker than the others and it seems that the more expensive stations are just as busy as ever. People are mostly idiots.
  3. Oh I dont know about that, I've seen some fancy's that had that pattern. My wife raised fancy's for about 3 or 4 years and regulars for snake food. Harley was her favorite. He was a hooded harlequin, very cool.
  4. Look nice dont they! I want a set. Maybe next summer I can do it. Enjoy.
  5. Made some more progress yesterday. Got the Fuel injection wiring harness and computer removed, all the A/C lines are out, and the clutch is out. I soaked everything with engine cleaner and powerwashed it twice. http://www.circuitflex.com/CleanedBay.jpg The next step it to remove the MAF mount close to the front of the car, then remove the transmission mounts from the tunnel. After that its paint time (POR). After that I am going to replace the steering rack bushings, and any other one’s I can easily get my hands on. I still have to purchase the Autometer electric speedometer, and tachometer. Also I am going to go with the JTR aluminum radiator and a Taurus fan setup. Maybe I can get the mounts in by next weekend! If I don’t get too caught up in the “while I’m at it syndrome†I might have a driver by Christmas.
  6. Thats good news! Another LS1 on the road! I can't wait to get mine going. I was told a while back that the "Catylic Converter Cleaner" they sell at auto parts stores was nothing more that just alcohol to get past the sniffers. I think I'll bottle it and sell it at 10 bucks a pint as "Emission Eazy" and either get arrested or rich!
  7. Could just be the placement of the MAF. Might just need recalibrating. MTI will know. They have a great reputation.
  8. Men playing dressup. Seems a little weird to me. Oh and he has a doll too!
  9. Sure hope this Ivan guy steps up to the plate and makes it right. All can still be made right Ivan, just get involved or risk business losses caused from posts like this.
  10. Yea, I think it's a bearing, anyway the engine got pulled this weekend and I'm working on the tiny underpowered LS1/T56 to fill the hole. I sure hope it has as much power as that 280 did.
  11. 1978 engine and GOOD 5 speed transmission free for the taking in Atlanta Ga! Engine is squeeky, but the tranny was rebuilt in 2000 and the car was not used for 4 years. All gears are quiet and smooth. Gotta pick it up, no shipping.
  12. Well I got the engine out today. The LS1 is almost ready to put in. http://www.circuitflex.com/EnginePull.jpg http://www.circuitflex.com/EngineGone.jpg In total it was about 16 hours work spread out over 4 days. The transmission (5 speed) appears have been installed in 2000 which means it only has about 1 year of driving on it. I assume that the clutch is in the same condition. The engine ran, but recently developed a strange squeeking. I think it has a bearing problem. I'd love to get rid of the engine and transmission. If there is anybody in the Atlanta area that wants this setup then please come and get it. All you gotta do is show up and we will load it up. We meaning you and myself.
  13. Be carefull buying carpet. I bought a kit from a company in Flordia (Tampa I believe) and had to cut all the holes and trim every piece to make it fit. It was molded, but the fit was lousy. Get one that is pre-cut and molded and save yourself alot of work.
  14. Thats funny, boy people would run if you dive bombed them with that!
  15. Any suggestions are welcome. This will be my primary startup program. This is just to get it to start and not fuel wash the cylinders from the 36# injectors. I will be running a wideband O2 and do a MAFless tune after I get it dialed in. All of the following is done with LS1 Edit Version 1.3 Disable M6 CAGS by setting the Enable speed to 200 and the Dis-Able to 210. Bring the Rev Limiters to 6800 by setting the ETC limit to 6800, All By Gear numbers to 6800 and resume to 6799, All by Temp to 6800 and resume to 6799. Compensate for the 36# injectors by multiplying the Injector Flow Rate table by 126%. Adjust the Main and Secondary Volumetric Efficiency tables by multiplying the 400 rpm map settings by 38%, the 800’s by 55%, the 1200’s by 68%, and the 1600’s by 88%. Disable the Catalytic Converter Overtemp enrichment by setting COT Enabled to False. Disable the EGR by setting EGR Enabled to False. Adjust the Fan temps for the 160 thermostat by setting the first stage fan to 180 On, and 175 off. Then the Second Stage Fan to 190 on, 185 off. Disable the VATS by setting Vehicle Anti-Theft to “No VAT’s†Adjust the Speedometer by setting the "Verify Tire Size" to "Tire Size" and entering the metric tire size, then adjust the gear ratio by entering 3.54 into the "New Gear" box. I’m still working on the Code’s to disable, but here is where I’m at. AIR DTC AIR EVAP Fuel Tank Pressure Fuel Level Sensor
  16. Oh yea, I almost forgot that you had already posted everything.
  17. Sorry, that is not very impressive. Hell I could take the old 396 powerglide out and smoke better than that! I bet that car doesn't last a week with the way it's treated. Kids, what can you do with them.
  18. http://www.bath.ac.uk/~ccsshb/12cyl/ My z is a 78.
  19. I like the next 2 pages detailing the construction. Looks like fun.
  20. I got hooked on brautwurst and beer over there. I dont like the yeasty milkshake crap though.
  21. Someone may have pulled the MC and had the reaction disk in the booster fall out. I chased my tail trying to fix my brakes and ended up replacing everything except the booster and they still didn't work. I replaced the booster and found that the disk had indeed fallen out. If the shaft on the booster is pulled away then the disk will fall. If you get a new booster they have a paper holder on it to keep it in place. Dont remove it until your ready to install the MC on it. Good luck and hope this helps,
