  1. Thats got to be fake, if it was launched then why is the focus so good, and how did he have time to take 2 pictures at 2 very different angles. The only way it could have happened would be that it dropped off while the plane was landing and skidded to a halt. Dale
  2. They are slammed with work, but will eventually respond if your persistent enough. Try again. Dale
  3. I think it's a ricer picture, anyway the guy's head is way too large, he must be an alien. Dale
  4. I agree with you Tim, it would be a waste of money to go LT1 carb. Go FI for sure with a LT1, it's a great engine except for the Opti spark. Dale
  5. Those are funny and remind me of the J-Lo comment on Fox network recently.
  6. No, it's all new, all the wire lengths are extended. John just uses the same type of cover as the OEM so it looks stock. Dale
  7. Welcome. I always wanted a 2000 or a 1600 and that car looks great too! Too bad you could not keep it. Dale
  8. It's a press fit. Those have always scared me.
  9. If it's in good shape you should go for it. The 98 had perimeter bolts on the valve covers instead of center bolts, a different computer, but it had a larger cam then the 2000 and up, and it has the 28 lb injectors. Lots of folks go with the 98's. Like the previous post mentioned, adding the LS6 intake would even things out (250 - 350 bucks). Oh yea, the exhaust manifolds were a little different on the 98's also. Dale P.S. if you can do a compression check it sould be in the 175 PSI ballpark.
  10. Over at wrongmotor.com there is a video of an RX7 with a LS1 in it. It's awesome. Dale
  11. The service manual for a 78 has a blueprint and from tower center to tower center is 35.94" or 913mm. Hope that helps. Dale
  12. Here's a picture of the harness. The quality is top notch, the labels are well done, the O2 wires are extended to accommodate headers, the cable has been extended to fit it in the cab, and a connection to the A/C pressure sensor was included to be used as a wideband O2 input. John also included a couple of feed through wires for and other gauges if needed. Dale
  13. May I suggest going to this post and viewing the correct punctuation and grammar that lies within. Let us all learn from the example and be perfect in all our responses from now on. http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=36288
  14. For me is OK as long as I can understand what a person is trying to say. Thats all that really matters anyway, nobody is perfect. I know some very skilled people that I respect that can't spell worth a toot. Lighten up. Dale
  15. That looks really nice! I need to do mine. I have contemplated spraying over the chrome also to black it out (it's cracked and nasty). Nice job, Dale
  16. Got mine today, I'll shoot a pic tonight. Dale
  17. I might have one (headlight switch only). I bought it on Ebay and the guy said it was for a 280, but the connector was wrong. It had like a 3X3 plug on it instead of the 5X5 I needed. If you think that's it then let me know as I would like to get rid of it. I live in the Cumming, Alpharetta area. Dale
  18. Fix your rear hatch seal. Dale
  19. Could be dieseling from carbon buildup on the heads and valves. I assume it knocks also when doing this. If your not running a good name brand gasoline then you should be. This can also be caused by oil consumpsion caused by bad valve seals, or rings, or coming into the intake via the PCV system. Get some GM topend cleaner and run it through (can't remember the name, but it sounds like soap). It will smoke like hell, but it will clean it up good. Dale
  20. That is so great! I hope to have mine done someday! Congrats! Dale
  21. I ordered the MSA lines for a 78 280 and got 4 identical lines with female ends. All the lines fit fine. The fitting is a female 10MM X 1.0MM pitch. I have one off the car and can snap a pic tonight if you like. Dale
  22. That's nice Mike. I want to do the same with mine next year. I like to look at the fine detail of your work on the suspension, and the way you mounted the fuel pump. Nice work. 8) Dale
  23. I should be trial fitting the bar next week. As for the engine I have a LS1/T56 waiting on a set of heads (Absolute Speed stage 2 5.3's) in the basement. Dale
  24. Just to confirm. As Phantom has stated, this is the correct part for the 10mm X 1.0mm threaded, flaired line. You might have to enter your Zip Code to view this. http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDetails.asp?categorycode=3566E&sourcepage=SEARCHRESULTS&mfrcode=AGS&mfrpartnumber=BLJ320 DAle
