I regret to have to say this, but my copy was lost in a format. How it happened I have no clue because I keep everything very well sorted. The only think wangan that I have left is the manga. I'll see if I can find it again somewhere and rehost it. When I had it on torrent I'd shared it with over 15 people, so someone else out there has it.

Well I've hosted my first youtube video, and I'm reluctant to post it here because I know there's so many music freaks around, plus I wasn't too concerned with perfection, and it shows methinks. It was basically just a trial run of the compression I'm using to see how youtube would react to it. So far I'm happy enough, and will just work on the quality from here on out (note the blocks from the compression). The video and audio stayed decently in sync so I think it was a postive experiment. And the link: Video - Shades of Bach Yes it's my arrangement. It's my tribute to bach so to speak. I'll probably think it's crap in another year though, oh well. Going on 4 years strong now and my obsession borders insanity. I should be better though. Oh well, at least I can see myself progress every now and then.

First ZX - Autotrader Second ZX - Craigslist I wish I would have known about craigslist before I bought my first. I might have ended up with a 240Z in good shape for the price I paid for the ZX. Then again I could have also had a mint 280ZX turbo. (i use the term "mint" loosly, meaning really good and clean shape)

My g/f enjoys cars as much as I do. Once I get my turbo on the road I'll make her a 100% convert for sure. The only bad part is that the "dream garage" just doubled in size... Oh well. At least she's not into polo or something.

project - hope I didn't hurt your feelings too bad, because I actually agree with you. The KA is a great flatform. BUT, our person with quesiton doesn't sound like the person that will be installing their own turbo system, let alone fabbing up their own engine mounts (no offense to this person). The KA is a very DIY type install, and the SR is drop in ready with the mount kits. It's like choosing a 5.0 ford over a 350 chevy. I might like the ford better, but it's more than twice the work getting it in.

It definately changed the way you precive angle changes. The closer you are to the rear wheels the more exaggerated the angel changes feel. A longer wheelbase will make it more predictable, but you'll also loose tossability. A short wheelbase, though hard to maintain a drift with, can be iniated very easily. ALL drifting comes down to prefference. You can drift a bone stock 280ZX, though it's feel won't be very preferrable to anyone. All these drift threads kinda tick me off, because it always looks as though so many people don't really understand anything about drifting (and it's usually the people asking questions). Drifting isn't about having that perfect setup. Drifting isn't about having the perfect car. It's about having the right car/feel to suite your style. The better you are the more versetile you'll be and be able to drive a large variety of cars. And the better you get the more you'll know with regards to how you want your car to feel. I say just change the bushings, maybe buy some stiffer rear springs to reduce the squat, then go out there and get time under your belt. The KA24DET motor would be a bad choice imo. The motor never came with a turbo, and it's not a super low copression motor anyways. So you're either going with low boost or you're rebuilding the motor. You might as well just go with a SR20 since a KA24DET would be illegal anyways. There's mount kits readily availble for the SR20 wich would make the whole process a lot easier. And personaly, I wich my stock L28ET had the stock power of the SR20 (though I should be able to get mine up to 300hp easily enough once I've got the money). There's a lot of motor options out there, and you don't need a ton of power for drifting. Sure the pro cars have huge HP, but that's because they're pro, what else do you expect? They're going for those huge white clouds while they get sideways because that helps them win.

I once got off for running a red (though it was more orange, and I was stuck in the intersection becuase of people driving 5mph though the intersection) because the cop asked me "have you ever gotten a ticket?" to wich I replied no, though I thought about asking her for her phone #... Short story is she checks my history, and says that I can get off with a warning since my record was clean. I'm not sure what exact information they have access to but I know they can pull up a decent amount on any car just off of license plate and I'm 100% posotive they can get the supposed VIN number collating to that license. If they can get that much though I'm sure there's other things they have access to, I'd imagine anything in the DMV d-base.

The stickys are kinda thrown out all over the place. You get used to it after a while and find security in their sense of randomness. But you're new, AND local to me (i'm in richmond) so I'll let things slide for a while, no complaints here man. Just whatever you do... don't go and ask "how do I make a 300hp L28ET?". I don't now if you've gathered this, but people here are big on the search feature. You'd be amazed at what you can dig up.

Though I agree with the overall attitude that "CA sucks" I don't believe moving to a different state is really the definitive answer. Most guys enjoy cars, and a very large part of our state is guys. Wow, umm. Again, why did I start my post with "not that I disrespect your post at all..." I was trying to carify the point of the copy/paste that YOU made. That just because there's different part laws for 65' and older vehicles doesn't mean that you can do what ever you want to them or with them. They're truth learned from refs themselves. I've actually taught refs about a lot of engine swap things that they had no idea about. Do I know more than most refs? NO! But I'm just saying that ALL refs are different and won't make the same decisions. My recommendation IF a ref won't legalize your swap is A) find out why and IF you think it's bogus, go to a different ref. I never meant any disrespect, I just wanted to add to the clarity of your post. Don't make it out to be more than it is. And this was never "heated" btw. ok, to clarify some stuff in this thread. The 25 year thing in CA is gone, and will be gone forever unless the laws change. ANY CAR IN CA can't have it's smog regulating equipment modified or removed legally. And smog equipment was in existence long before 75'. Actually back in the 50's CA started making laws that controller the way manufactures made cars in order to provide cleaner air. Most cars even from the 60's would built in order to run as clean as possible while getting good HP efficiency. CA has made it perfectly clear that they don't want ANYONE modifying motors and altering how much ANYTHING it makes, for better or worse. Their laws aren't always all encompassing, and only 75 and up get testing. This doesn't give older cars a free pass or anything of the such. It just means they're a lot less likely to get caught with anything since they don't have to be looked at every other year. This is awesome though. I really wish there was a way to counter ticket stupid cops that give bad tickets like this. Just make sure you're L24 is legit and doesn't have any illegal mods, and shove it right back in the states face, and enjoy it.

Wow, I don't have much time but this is freaking hilarious, but scary at the same time. Where did this cop learn this is the question. Some of the police training videos I've seen are VERY disgusting in the point that they can be EXTREMELY racist against car guys. Such as assuming that any car with stickers on it probably has illegal parts from that company ect. This probably isn't something he learned on the net, it's probably something that he learned from his chief. I'll post more later. I really gotta go.

Wow, is photoshop 8 really that much better? I've had 7 for years (has full history with options for size) and I've been very content with it. When I tried the photoshop CS demo nothing felt right and I had a terrible time trying to use it. So I just stuck with 7. What am I really missing out on? Btw motorhead427, I think you joining this site alone is merit enough to get a photo section made. But that's just one man's opinion.

LFS is a great game as well. Just not nearly as much content as GTR2, and that much more low budget feeling when it comes to looks and sounds (though I like how all their sounds are actual lines of code instead of being sound samples).

Ok, I have to pipe in here. Are you not a nerd when you find a BIGGER nerd to be your girlfriend? Example: I know a guy who's in the upper percentile of counter strike players. If you REALLY follow CS you'd know him - Rob64. He's part of infamous 64 clan that's known worldwide as a bunch of hackers/cheaters. Funny thing is that though nearly all of them have been caught cheating few of them still do, and they're all still dang good. But onto my point. His girlfriend probably wouldn't be with him if he wasn't the one and only "Rob64". She'd rather have a new mouse than jewelry. I was over at my friends house recently and Rob + his better half was there and to my astonishment she's there playing quake... And kicking serious butt at that. More like rapage actually. It's scary, I watch her play and she'd probably school me in any FPS game. She wears game oriented clothing, and goes to all the tournaments even if she's not competing. So this begs the question... How much less of a nerd are you IF (big if) your girlfriend/wife is worse than you?
