  1. because there are two versions of the standalone, one can run off a maf and the other off map
  2. i was running a generic intercooler from one of those "Made in China" ones here is a pic of it on my old l28et car

  4. it depends usually how soft the spring setting is on the bov with the sr20, if its too soft the car will just shut off after high revs, so you might want to look into getting a bov that you can adjust the tightness of the spring
  5. as if the stock lap belts are very safe... because thats what our 240 had before we put in bucket seats and harnesses

  13. hes running the garrett gt25r which we were running on our car before. soon he is going to get his new injectors and power fc to push more power

  16. as far as user friendly goes, SDS or Megasquirt i have seen are the most user friendly comparable to the power fc.
  17. well with the Apex'i Power FC you can only have one map, where as with most other standalones you can have many different maps and load them depending on what boost your running
  18. plug and play, i would say go with the Apex'i Power FC with commander
  19. if you want about 350whp then your going to need the garrett gt2871r. Gas mileage will not be killed if you get a reprogrammed ecu or go standalone it all depends on your foot at that point. the reliability depends on how much you beat on the motor too. as far as mpg goes that depends on the tuning with bigger injectors and maf, there is no bad side to it, just need it tuned right
  20. i dont think with stock s13 maf you can be at over 260whp unless it was tweaked. but for a faster spooling turbo with less lag, the closest you will get to that is the garrett t28 bb s15 turbo, i would definitely think about changing injectors and maf though
  21. we have ZG flares on our car with 16x9.5 with -19 offset out back and the lip of the rim almost makes it to the edge of the flare and we wouldnt be able to run a 275 tire with the car being as low as it sits
  22. i see motor and trannys sell for about $1250 alone with no extras and about $2300 with everything including ecu, harness, maf, and ignitor
