  1. I could make a very long list. One of my favorites was the ole' Hot Wheels master casters. It was an electrical toy that would melt these wax pellets and you would mold your own hot wheels. I remember running out of pellets and melting crayons instead. I really used to love building model kits. Do you guys remember those 1/8 scale kits? Those big ole kits were the best, such detail. They are very hard to find today, and when you do, the seller thinks they are made of gold. You can't beat those old metal erector sets either.
  2. http://tremek.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-23434.html I think the links to the pics are the 11th post down from the top. I really like the looks of the conversion.
  3. Maybe you can just set the dash temporarily in place. Then plug in the connectors, add temporary grounds where needed. Good luck.
  4. Make sure to carefully inspect the lifter bores. Especially #8, it may have been scarred when you guys had trouble pulling the lifter. I would as already suggested, tear the whole motor down and have the block cleaned again. There is a good chance the oil galleries have metal debris in them. Obviously the only way to clean them properly is a tear down. Anyway, good luck
  5. You should try putting the car in the air with someone in it to stop the wheels from turning with the brakes. Disconnect the shifting cable/linkage and try to shift the trans manually using your hand with the bracket that attaches to the trans itself. If it still doesn't shift, then it has to be internal trans issues. Good luck.
  6. I have been into Z cars since I owned my first 240, High School, 1989. Then owned a few since then. Then back in 2004, while getting back in the Z game, I found Pete Paraska's site. I checked out his links and that lead me here to HybridZ.
  7. Yasin, I am sure I speak for others on this site, we aplaud you for saving the Z from the crusher. Maybe throw some new tires on it, a quickie flat black primer paint job, and drive it! It would make a great car to tool around town in. The Mazda looks interesting also.
  8. The Z looks very nice indeed! I can't wait to see some in action pics/video.
  9. That is a nice color, what is called?
  10. I had an owl take out my grill and radiator once @ 55 mph. It was an 80' Olds Cutlass.
  11. I think you are doing a great job on the grill. The original grills are light weight but very easily damaged. This grill you are making is what we need, looks similar to the original, but strong and durable. I think it will look great when you done. Good Luck!
  12. I am a fan of the CBX's as well. I see them on ebay sometimes. You might find the following link very interesting, check it out. http://www.cbxclub.com/mainx.html I don't have a CBX yet, but I may some day. I really like the looks of the early 80's muscle bikes. The Honda CB750 & CB900 SuperSports are pretty hot IMO.
  13. LOL! LOL! Man, these stories are too funny!
  14. Yeah doc, some progress is better than none. Maybe you should mess with the painter, "motor is done and some guy is offering me big $ money for it". Sounds crazy but you never know, it may "motivate" him. Good luck doc.
  15. Oh, there are other Z car sites on the web? I didn't know...........LOL!
  16. The sad part is some people will actually believe this crap.
  17. someone is asking for it.........LOL!
  18. First of all you were alone in the bathroom with a new wheel, doing who knows what, and now you like Fiero's? Geez, you need to place a call to Dr. Phil. Just kidding man, LOL!
  19. Hey, we can all be friends right? Guys, chill out, as so many things can easily be misunderstood via internet posts/email/chat etc. I happen to think that the build in question is pretty awesome. Alot of things can be "judged" by a few pics or little info. I am sure the car is outstanding in person. Most problems and/or indifferences are caused by lack of communication. Take a deep breath and put the pride in check and keep cool. This is too great of a site to be "capping" on eachother, there are plenty of other sites that do that, try LS1tech for example. The site has great info, but sometimes the bickering is so immature. Anyway, let's all keep this the #1 premier Z site on the web. HybridZ rocks!!!
