  1. I used Sylvania's 5157? Can't remember the number, they're flat-blade type sockets which are pretty bright (the bulbs are). Just cut another notch in the taillite rear and twist them in. Owen
  2. I know my at least one of my posts is gone, the wangan midnite movie copies one...cuz I looked at it a couple of times after the new forum was updated. Owen
  3. Oh, I know THAT story! I've had my engine out a couple of times in the past and the last time it was out, I got a alpha-numeric punch set and punched DRV and PASS into the T spacers so I would know where they go. Owen
  4. Are these any good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33593&item=2418865029 With the Beck Arnleys, can you just switch to the castle-nut or is it physically impossible? Owen
  5. You're in luck! http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22299 Owen
  6. Try a heat gun or something with the plastic and go slow, it shouldn't burst into flames (I don't think). Also, see if you can get some UV resistant stuff which they might not have a Home Depot etc. For a flush look, see Tim240Z's tail lites. http://tim240z.iwarp.com/index.html Owen
  7. A snubber huh? Never heard of that...but it's what I made out of my R230 mount, I don't have it supported underneath. Owen
  8. Very nice! Hope you make a write up for all that. Other questions, what model AC kit is that? Where in San Gabriel are you located? Owen
  9. Ahh, a lot of the posts before Mar 2002 are gone!
  10. Hell, I can't even search a single forum where I know the information was before! Owen
  11. You can't return 'em or exchange 'em for the bigger ones? Sell 'em? Owen
  12. Your taillite mod has defaced a legend!!! To each his own, I say, just don't force it on me. But shoot me if I start to put strobe lights and neons under the car. Owen
  13. Use that spongy tape window insulating stuff from Home Depot and wrap it around the gauge. Owen
  14. I have "How to Paint Your Own Car" and another one by House of Kolor. Also, check out these sites, http://www.sharpe1.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro http://www.autobodypro.com/wwwboard/wwwboard.shtml http://www.autobodystore.com/cgi-bin/config.pl?index http://www.paintucation.com/index2.html Paintucation and Autobody Store have their own how-to videos. Owen
  15. There's another lighted button by IGNITED. Don't know how it fits but the S2000 one fits great in the 240Z dash hole. Make sure you have a good solid backing for the button, otherwise someone with their big fat thumb will push it right through the dash! Tim240Z! Livewire, my button is "armed" unless the key is in the ON position, kinda stupid but it's a street car and I don't want anyone to be able to drive it away without even having the keys. Owen
  16. Damn Tim! How do ya know all the secret codes?!?! I was shocked when I took you to Taco Bell for the first time in your life last year! Owen
  17. Just get a removable steering wheel! J/K Like I mentioned in that post, anyone smart enough will not tell you. One thing I WILL tell you is what I'm contemplating right now is not security once the car is left alone, but how to shut it down once it's been car jacked. Security for an unattended car that is being stolen is pretty easy. But what about being held at gun point and getting jacked while you're in the car and it's running? A secret self-destruct mechanism? Always carry another alarm remote on your person in case someone jacks you at the gas station or in a parking lot? Owen
  18. I assume you're talking about powered door locks, I installed power door locks and power windows in my '73. It all depends on what size motors you have but my door lock motor is sitting right behind the inside-door-handle-hole. In the actual hole itself is the power window motor. I had to fit a bar with mounting holes across in order to mount the motor. Owen
  19. JohnC, don't some drag racing regulations require a certain amount to be extending out from the top of the open lug? Thought I read that somewhere... Das280ZX, how strong are those studs? Sounds like a good option! Owen
  20. Yeah, get one of those mis-firing systems like they use on the Lancer Evolution rally cars, drive thru a ghetto neighborhood and watch everyone duck for cover! Auxilary is right, these systems have been used for years by the hi-po turbo cars in rallys. But is this system the real thing? Sounds like it's just a noise make. Owen
  21. Cool, post pix when you're done! I could never bring myself to buy one of those Greddy or Cusco ones, too high dollar. Are you putting baffles in for the oil breather tank? Make sure you get the right clear hose that's oil/coolant safe too. Owen
  22. Down the page, http://www.up22.com/falcongto.htm#DZ-101 Owen
  23. Damn, I had to go back and search for this, maybe we should have a sticky post of the most often referred websites. http://www.up22.com/falcongto.htm#DZ-101 Owen
  24. I want one too, and I like the Greddy and Cusco look vs the Moroso or the one in Jegs. MSA was advertising a coolant catch can, chrome and a clear tube on the outside. About a month ago they told me they'd have'em soon.. Owen.
