  1. I haven't heard from either so I don't know.
  2. Between the metal and the casters I spent a little over $200 so that is a steal. I have access to a band saw, drill press and welder and it still was a pain in the ass since I'm no fabricator. Jump on that one for $325 and be done with it.
  3. I got three this morning two with the subject line "Test" and one with "Status"
  4. I used a set of plans I found on the internet to build mine. You can check the plans out here. It's a universal design that is very adjustable but it was nice to have a blueprint to follow. You can check out pics of the completed rotisserie here.
  5. Destruction in slow motion, you've got to love it. I'm stuck at work today so thanks Aux I needed that.
  6. I'm up for a HybridZ meet. Wednesday night at the track sounds great Scottie. Where are you staying Bob?
  7. Thanks Tim. I'm going to buy a set in the near future but I'm waiting to see Ross's design as well before I make a decision. They look like a very thought out and well constructed unit though.
  8. Tim, I'm very interested in a set. Can you post pics again and explain the machined bushing for me. Are the machined bushings less harsh than the rod ends?
  9. I can't believe that thing is still around. A friend from Chattanooga told me that story when I was in college. If I remeber correctly that was 1981. I think the human remains thing is BS, you know the families would have never allowed it.
  10. The early 260Z bumpers have different mounting points than the 240's, or at least my 72 240Z. The 260 is mounted on shocks and the 240 is mounted directly to the body.
  11. Congratulations Tim. I'm looking forward to that day some time in my future. Cheers and have a to celebrate.
  12. Wow what a Christmas present. That would be awesome to have your first drive on Christmas day. I hope it happens for you and you deserve it after all of the hard work. I'm jealous as Hell BTW but that day will come for me as well.
  13. Very nice Rick. For some reason the term "Beefy" keeps coming to mind. Are you going to run door bars?
  14. That's great news Rick I can't wait to see the pics. It is truly going to be an awesome ride. I hired a local fabricator that is working on mine here at the house. We've got the inner fenders sectioned and in place, the front frame rails are done, the roll bar is in and the sub frame connectors are done. Upon a thorough inspection we have decided to replace the floors so that is the next step and the car will be done. Your custom upper core support looks great on the car and I got a Griffin 24"x19" the other day so that we can go ahead and fabricate the mounting brackets. It looks so clean with the stock core support gone that I just wanted to thank you for the idea.
  15. Now that is a big manhole. Very cool stuff Ross. I've project managed and estimated a wide variety of commercial construction projects since 1985 but have never been involved in anything like that. Thanks for sharing.
  16. You could also consider sending your harness to this guy and let him do the modifications for you. I've seen him recommended on some of the F-Body boards.
  17. I did a search on The Orlando Sentinel web site but didn't come up with anything. Sounds like Darwin is using steam rollers now.
  18. Thanks Tim, keep us informed on your progress.
  19. I'm very interested in these as I will be needing a set in the very near future. Can you explain how they adjust and what locks them in place? Sorry but I'm not sure what some of the pieces are that I'm looking at.
  20. Good eyes Tim, yes that is a LT-1 & T56 from a 96 Z28 waiting to be transplanted into the car. I attempted to carry the front clip down from his mezzanine by myself and about killed myself in the process. Jim came around the corner in time to give me a hand and save the day. I was about two steps down the stair case when I realized it was a really bad idea and I was in trouble. I take it since you're talking to Jim that the Supra motor is in the works? We are on schedule this weekend to work on the frame rails and if all goes as planned we will be complete with all of the welding before Christmas. Hopefully during my Christmas off time we will be able to trial fit the motor & transmission. I'll never make Reynolds but maybe some time in the near future.
  21. I know it's been a long time coming but luckly this guy is very fast. He's working on it right now and has the clip fully welded and ground smooth. It looks great and I can't be happier to finally get moving on the car again.
  22. I've been trying to work with several different welders and fabricators on my car over the last 6 months and something always comes up with the end result being no work done to the car. I cut a deal with a welder from a limousine fabrication facility and this guy is awesome. My car was previously involved in a front end collision and the repairs were done very poorly. Once I disassembled the car we began to realize the only proper fix was to section part of the front clip. So the order of business is to section the front clip, new frame rails, sub frame connectors, roll bar install and patch two small areas in the floor pans. It's a lot of work and I guess that is why it scared so many people off. The guy who is working on the car cut the clip off of my car, trimmed the new clip to fit and spot welded it in place in like 3 hours last night. Here is a picture of the progress and he's coming back tonight. We're going to bolt the fenders on, do some final trimming and get it fully welded. We should be working on frame rails this weekend. Scrap metal
  23. Thanks for posting the pics Mike. That looks like it should keep that thing cool. I think I'm going to keep mine vertical since I have an A/C system to deal with.
  24. Hey Mike do you have any pics of what you're doing where the core support used to be. New frame rails are going in mine shortly and the core support is coming out. I was going to tie the frame rails together where the core support was and use that as the bottom radiator mount. I have a bolt in piece that goes across at the top of the radiator. It's already been in a Z car and looked very nice. Just curious what you're doing vs. what I'm planning. On Edit: Congratulations Pete, see what happens when you don't run bricks for tires.
