There you go. Buy his Power FC setup with Datalogit. Then you have the commander on the dash for the display, quick changes, etc... but you can fully tune with the Datalogit on a laptop. I love my Tec3. It does a lot that the PowerFC can't. As far as difficulty of installation goes, its a 3 wrenches out of 3. Thats for sure. It's good to have someone around who has done a standalone before. The PowerFC plugs right in and goes... and gives you the ability to tune as you need to.

Can you extend the intake pipe and place the filter further forward, down, or in the fender or something?

I can give you maps for an SR20 all day... Don't know if they'll help much in a KA, the power band is quite different.

Yep, I had custom body work done on my 180sx. I told them to use as much steel as possible in every way. They got it to 98%, and then slapped some bondo in two places. Those two spots bulged after about a year, and after a couple years when I repainted the car... the painter was pissed at the rusty mess he found behind the filler.

I like the top seat in Black and Red for your car. Sometimes when you see a bright racing seat glowing out of a nice sports car, it looks gawdy (sp?) The Black & Red seat would be a nice compromise... It doesn't jump out at you, but when you look closer at the car, it will look sweet. If you put something like that in, you could have a little more red accent inside to go with it... just a thought. Thats my $.02

Shorter stroke makes the motor want to rev higher. (speaking of engines in general) Is it out of the question to buy aftermarket (read: custom) rods to do this?

That goes on the list of things I'd love to own, but probably won't for a long time.
