  1. Of course it also depends on if you have an auto or manual, and what your first gear ratio is. For instance, my car will have 70% more torque to the diff in 1st than stock, but in 2nd, it'll be similar to the original 1st because my 1st gear is much lower than stock 1st. So I'll tread lightly in 1st untill I upgrade to the R200, 280zx halfs and high perf suspension. Or maybe a dana 44 off a corvette we'll see.

  3. I don't know about any of you but I can't stand those tattoos. Big turn off. I just don't want to look at a big black birth defect looking blotch on the back of some girl. Or on her foot, or her neck or... I don't want to think about it. What a tattoo on a girl says to me is, "My parents didn't love me, I got into drugs and I might have a bastard kid at home." *slowly step away* Don't get me wrong, Britney or Jessica Simpson could have a tattoo of a snake on their face and I wouldn't mind, but without that kind of insane good looks, it's a detractor. Turn off. Kind of like a shaved head. To prove my point, picture Jessica Simpson with a shaved head and a tattoo on her face like the Sithe and you might just say no to that one in a dark bar.
  4. Tell her, without door handles it's much harder to get car-jacked.
  5. I always feel dumber after a few beers, does that mean the smart brain cells in my head caught on and know where the beer is and die first? At least they die happy.
  6. Don't know the details of LS1 but Gen1 = 1. Replace the oil and filter (duh) 2. Get a oil primer tool and run the oil through the engine (hook it to the oil pump through the dizzy hole) (you can use the dizzy for this but have to remove the cam gear). 3. Turn it over by hand to make sure it's not rusted stuck on the rings. If it is, try some oil down the spark plug holes (don't know if this isn't a bad idea anyway). Put it in gear and try to rock it lose. 4. If you see any corrosion in the rad neck you might have coolant corrosion anywhere in the block, but if it is Alum heads on iron block and there is corrosion in the coolant, then it'll be wise to check the water jackets if you take the heads off. It would be smart to check this before running it for any length of time, clean them out, and flush the engine. 5. Follow a manufacturer's break in procedure for a new engine, it wouldn't hurt. 6. You also could tear it down and check everything, if you had nothing to do this weekend. Am I forgetting anything?
  7. It looks like he got hit by the shell casing not the recoil, I bet he didn't latch the chamber before firing.
  8. why go through all the trouble to take a wrecked car and bring it there, why not just throw some spike strips in the road and wait for it to happen. More convincing that way. Or they could have offered free drinks about a mile up the road, same effect.
  9. Well, now I owe my Cow-erker a c-note. He absolutely does not think we ever got to walk on the moon. After this, he's clearly true, otherwise they'd have taken chunks of cheese back instead of simple grey rocks. Dang.
  10. http://www.geocities.com/z_design_studio/transmission.html It don't add up. My numbers match this site.
  11. Freekin forget the horse, buy her a sweater, 6000sq.ft!!! Dude you could store 20+z's in that. Tell her she can have 1/2 of that and turn the other half into a replica of the "American Choppers" Garage.
  12. http://www.karnutz.com/howfast.html?btnSubmit=Next+Page Anyone here a automotive forensics expert?
  13. It's only a matter of time before they digitize the images from space and form 3-D interactive maps of the world where you can take a walk in your neighborhood from behind the computer screen or whatever optical interface device you will use by then.
  14. Or you could get a Flex-a-lite 180 extreme, it has a bigger shroud anyway. If you don't mind spending some bucks look for it on summitracing.com. I tested mine and it has a heck of a lot of flow through the Stealth Conversions radiator. I could feel it hum inside the car with the hood closed. I'm hoping it's not noticeable when I actually start the car.
  15. That looks a lot like the T56, I'd say you were missing the tail housing if it was a T56.
  16. I think bartman has the spread ratios .62 6th. That would explain the 1800 at 70. But 1350 at 65 does not sound right, you must have 3.36 rear to be turning 1500, not 3.70, the 3.70 should get you . Or your tach may need a slight adjustment? Are you using the stock gage? IT would be pretty easy to get it off a bit if you adjusted it on idle. With 185-75R14 tires right? Let me know if I am making an error. .50 6th + 3.36 rear and stock tire size = what RPM? I think 1500, Phantom says 1350.
  17. But I like the idea of a 6 speed so I got one. I'm planning on using 6th even with the 3.36 stock R180 rear and .5 ratio, it will turn 1470 at 65. Plenty of torque to do that, 6th will have similar performance to the original 4th according to my setup calcs. I'll only have 70% more torque in 1st than original due to the 2.66 1st (compaired to 3.55 original 1st) which shouldn't shread the R180 too quickly. I could stand the 3.54 though it would raise the RPM to 1556, probably a noticeable difference. I'll keep it sane though and I plan on beefing up the diff mount and frame rails. The Firebird/Camero T56 has different ratios though 2.97 1st and .62 6th. .62 6th witht he 3.36 would be 1823 at 65 and 3.54 would be 1920, almost 2k, I like the low rev idea myself, at 80 my setup turn just over 1800.
  18. What if the girls were sitting on the pyrimid and he WAS the pyrimid? Less bad luck I think in this case since there would be no little pickles?
