  1. I did a search on wideband and didn't find what I was looking for. Ok, I'm running the banks blow through carb setup and trying to finalize the setup. Got the Greddy E-01 EBC which will read and display 02 sensor readings of 0-5V. But do I do the datalogging anyway or just plug the 02 sensor into the EBC? I have the Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and FPR, Running a MSD6BTM. Starting to put it all together and I really want this to be right so your suggestions are valued.
  2. I would think that the converter would not kill driveability that much over what you have now since when you start making boost the converter slips more. What the converter people are going to want to know is what launch rpm is your target and what TQ you'd be making at that rpm along with what TQ you'd be making at a lower rpm like 4500 or even 5000. As an example the converter in the z is a 4000 stall for a sbc. On the brake I can stall it at 4300. Just depends on the TQ of the engine. So as your boost builds the stall rpm will increase until you reach a steady state point. My understanding from talking to Art Carr before he built my converter was that the initial stall should be high enough to start making boost and then it will raise slightly into the final stall rpm right before launch. He was talking like a second or two at the most for this to take place. If it doesn't happen that way to send it back and they will restall it until it works right. Driveability of a 5500 stall versus either my 4000 or 4500 stall converters is the same on the street, I don't notice any difference between them. At some point though ted, your car will quit being a street car and become more of a serious car that is track oriented. I say that because from what I'm reading your having problems planting the HP! Geez, what a problem to have!
  3. Another prime example folks of a good guy going down. Oh, a word of advice. Be the worst possible ******* you can and slowly get better, that way she'll think she changed you. Congrats and good luck!
  4. I went by the triple J ranch on one of our driving tours. Nice country that Montana. Actually, I'm rifle scope poor. I let go a 36x leupold target scope on the 6mmBR that I just traded off. Other than that they are all pretty high power scopes, the lowest power I shoot is a 12x and most have 6.5x20 Leupolds on them for the long shots we take out here. Too many hobbies, not enough time. This work thing is getting in the way of the fun!
  5. Yeah, I dare you to take that to the driving test. In fact I double dare you!!! Oh, and take vid so we can see the instructor crap their pants!
  6. Why don't you just sleep with her? Let it slide and may all your ups and downs be between the sheets.
  7. I'm going to shoot for March '07. There is absolutely no way I could make it. The z is totally stripped and awaiting body filler, primer and paint. I'm ordering the AZ Z car parts next week to do the front end with and probably next month I'll order the new 3.875 stroke crank, pistons and new cam/spings/retainers to match. It'll take awhile to get it all together but the car was so squirrely to drive that I had to do something. That and some front end suspension limiting and I think it'll be there with the new engine. You do 8's with the blower, I'll try to get there on motor, that will be a show!!
  8. I had complete knee reconstruction on my left knee 4 times after impaling my knee on a piece of rebar sticking out of the ground at work. The last time was by a Dr. Jordan Stoll in Boulder Colorado. World renowned orthopedic surgeon, highly recommended. I had the hamstrings removed from the lower part of my leg and reattached to the sides of the knee joint with two screws, along with infrapatellar grafts as you describe with 6 more screws, 1 in my femur and one in either the tibia or fibia, whicever is which and the mediate collateral ligaments as well. It is necessary to do that to supply blood flow to the new ligaments. It works great, I've never been better after the first 3 botched surgeries by a moron doctor. In the end I ended up with a 50% permanent partial disability, although if you saw me you'd never know, unless I was wearing shorts and could see the numerous train track surgery scars. I too have problems with my ankles, injured my right one a week ago real bad and wasn't even standing on it. It's just now getting better. Wear medium or high top boots or shoes and lace them real tight for support. If I was wearing tennis shoes, I'd wrap mine, but in my line of work I need steel toes. Getting old sucks, but I wasn't planning on living this long as it was.
  9. If she looked alittle more like my fishing partner Sam here I'd keep her but your right, she definately has to go!!

    My fishing partner

Sam is holding some nice fish!
  11. You are correct about sorting out the car. The last thing you want to do is jump in one and run it all out. The boys z is in paint prison, but it will be getting the needed overhaul consisting of complete front suspension and rear suspension makeover with some tires wider than the 9 inch ones it's got now. Maybe a few other tricks including a little more stroke and bore, not to mention alittle more cam. This car wasn't set up to run 1/8th mile. I've never stepped on it that hard either. On the brake leaves at 4300, shift at 6K, traps at 6500 on all motor. Never been much of a NOS fan myself but it works pretty good. That looks like a really nice car and sounds to be pretty quick. I think the ultimate would be for all the fast guys to show up to one event and have some fun. We'll have to spot scottie some lengths though. In the meantime I'll watch from the porch as you big dogs shoot it out. I'll come play at a later date.
  12. I can't have a midlife crisis, I live it everyday! Gee what fun I'm having!
  13. 1/8th mile is for wussies who can't handle speed! I mean if we are talking trash, might as well throw that in there too!
  14. Your work obvioiusly takes you to the beach for meetings eh?!!
  15. I want to see a picture of the pretty hot girl!
  16. Electrical wiring has always been fords downside IMO. That won't be a budget build if he's serious about going fast.
  17. Yeah, usually after work when the work day ends around 7PM or so. Gets me back to ground zero after a hard day. Makes me feel like I went back in time to when things were simpler. Two are well broke, one is a 3 year old, just getting started, but moves out real well. Just like everything else, he's a hotrod!
  18. Actually those two mountains in the picture is my place, and yes, if you do a google search on White Oaks Mining district, those are gold mines, so I'm not sure about the irish dude, but I do extract gold on a continual basis, about 10 oz per week when I'm running just for gold, which isn't that often. Landscape rock is where it's at in terms of $$$. My neighbor sent that to me since it's kind of ironic. She has nice horses, mine are all bays "brown" and I only have 3. I'll post a pic of one of the nuggets I have and some of the "rocks" we have as well.
  19. Pretty pathetic to watch, all that shooting and the only person that hit what he was aiming at was the bad guy. He took the cop car out. I love the guy with the shotgun shooting at something that wasn't even there! Here in NM a few years back a sherrif deputy in Valencia county pulled over a guy, who unbenownst to the cop had just killed two people, for a traffic stop. The perp fired 6 rounds from a .357 revolver at the cop. The cop retreating by facing the perp and walking backward or laying on his arse after he was hit, fired 14 rounds. The perp hit the cop 4 times out of six while shooting over his shoulder from inside the vehcle, twice in the legs, once in the shoulder and once in the vest. The cop managed to hit the truck two times, once in the tailgate and once in the left front fender. Been said many times it's the one who doesn't loose his cool and concentrates on aiming that wins the gunbattle! Evidenced so many time in real warfare!
  20. Now is that helping out or what!!!!
  21. Well, it was wishfull thinking, the bottom just fell out of the clouds, so it's time to go home. Not only green but grass too, the cows and horses won't know what to do.
  22. Santa Fe is ok, can't afford to live there though and really, I wouldn't want to.
  23. The rain that is! A neighbor took this picture this morining. This is where I work in White Oaks. Wow, everything is GREEN!
