  1. I used to shoot IPSC alot. Those are some nice groups. I'll have to take a pic of my 6.5-06 groups, they are in the 1's. Most accurate gun I've ever shot. Sako action, douglas barrel, Leupold 16x and a canjar single set trigger. shoots a 100gr HP with 50gr of Rx22 right at about 3000fps. I'd really like to get a .50BMG like that, how does it shoot?
  2. Nope, just left it as it was, painted valve covers and all. As you can see from the pics of the pinks stuff it's kind of all over, but most is latex that peels off, the rest is oil based primer and it never stuck or dried. Got a letter yesterday from CYFD and they are going to make the little $hits pay for the damage, can't wait.
  3. Well, with all the rain, they have decided to have a mud bog today. I went yesterday and looked at the pit, about a foot under water. In fact they had to pump water out of it yesterday to prep it for today. Now that's what I call mud.
  4. Save it, you'll need it for the big inch motor your going to build in the future. Too much is never enough!
  5. Ok, James, I'm ready for my custom intercooler for the monte. I'll take dimensions and some pictures. Whenver you get around to making mundane stuff that is.
  6. Well, it's fixing to rain again, big black mutha cloud headed this way. Supposed to rain all through the end of next week. Larry, hurry up and go to texas, maybe you'll suck all this moisture over there.
  7. You'll need to go wideband, those jets are so fouled it isn't funny.
  8. He's talking in code........... Waiting for the z gods to tell him when to take a journey to new z land! :lmao:
  9. Holy Crap Batman, we need to rob a bank! I had no idea that RB's were that expensive to use in a z! I sincerely hope it kicks some bootie when you get it going!
  10. Sounds like a good cheap conversion to get you started. Buy the jags that run manual. Google jags that run and go there, alot of info in that book. Also do a search for the 280zx and PM members here on what they did. Keep us posted and remember....
  11. I agree, start clean and go clutter from there. You probably won't need much. What kind of 350 are you planning on putting in, Carb'd, EFI, turbo'd, blown? What HP level? What trans? What other upgrades are you planning?
  12. There is a sticky in the brakes section and if you do a search for brake upgrades you'll get alot of information. Personally I have a 9 inch ford so I can't help you there with regards to the back brakes. For motor help you'll have to be more specific. Is it an NA motor or EFI or turbo, etc. You have to have an idea of what you want to achieve in terms of HP as well. But if you lurk around and do alot of research using the search function you'll find alot of information that's already here. Take a look at the timeslip database and PM people if you have specific questions about their cars. Most people here are pretty helpfull if you have a specific question and you have used the search function already before asking. Doc
  13. Do you have any experience in ACAD with roads, utilities, water and sewer?
  14. Your still invincible in our eyes mike! Sell the bike and stay around for awhile, life is telling you something. Get better!
  15. Oh, man we have had flood after flood. The railroad tracks washed out again on Monday, but this time instead of rebuilding with ballast they lined the tracks with 6 foot boulders on both sides!! They were still working on it yesterday and again already this AM. Here in town we are up to like 18 inches or something of rain in the last month. At work it's over 20 inches. I think I could sell the place for a golf coarse right now, just mow it.
  16. Well, they will be on hybridz getting auctioned off here pretty quick.
  17. Just to let you all know, since Larry (Cozy Z Cole) showed up at my place, while we were in the midst of a 3 year drought, it hasn't stopped raining. Yesterday they evacuated some 300 folks cause of flooding and now it's fixing to come one he11 of a storm, so I'm sure it'll be more of the same. Anyway, this has to be due to Larry's unbelievable powers to summon rain! It has rained everywhere he's been to date. Call larry and schedule an appointment for your parched area. By the way, I'm sick of rain right now, feel like I should live in Washington or something.
  18. Your doing pretty good for pump gas. For the HP your looking for your going to need a .525 to .550 lift and about 250 duration at .050. Need a single plane intake like the victor jr or Team G. Ditch the edelbrock carb and get a holley 750HP series or so. I picked up a new Holley 835 cfm HP series carb last week on EBAY for $300!!! Headers in the z, I have the full length headers from S&S, not the best, but better than the restrictive block huggers. Get you a underdrive crank pulley, like from moroso, that'll pick up a few rwhp as well. If your running an auto you'll need a 3K stall to make that idle in gear. Yes, you will have to get different pushrods but you need to check it when you go changing things. Rule of thumb is, the more you go trick parts, the more you have to check things to make sure they are aligned right. So, if you buy all of that cam, lifters, springs, pushrods, carb, headers, etc, etc, you could probably sell the heads you've got and get some AFR 195 eliminators, might be the 205's I can't remember. Which is why we typically beat the band wagon on cylinder heads, get cylinder heads and the combination you have will make what you want, no other changes necessary, well except maybe the headers. I'd ditch the carb for sure, but if you get heads you'll be making 430HP or so at the crank!
  19. Guess you'll be using ol' lefty in the shower then huh? Couldn't resist.
  20. Will be available to all hybridz members right here on hybridz.org!
  21. What HP are you getting now and what are you looking for? If your planning on running a roller cam you need new manley or ferrea race valves anyway. +100 valves help with the taller installed spring height and the rest can be done with retainers and keepers. Typically your looking at a 1.950 installed height to handle .600 to .650 lift. The 041's are nice heads but don't flow much over .500 to .550 lift. Port work will definately help that but going to a .600+lift cam won't net you much IMO. I sold my 041's that were 2.02 and 1.6's with screw in studs and guideplates in used condition for $550 on EBAY to somone that needed them for a resto. Then I bought my first set of AFR's, the 220 version. Now I have 3 sets of AFR's and one set of Brodix heads. You'll be glad you bought them, I was.
  22. The pinks weld wheels and MT DR's are going up for auction pretty quick. 235/60/15's I believe. Check the stick that dan put up if those don't work.
