  1. Also, try posting in the newbies section first and (you're gonna get hammered about this) use the search function.
  2. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=6566&cat=500&perpage=24&ppuser=13014 Try sending a PM to this user and ask him where he got his.
  3. I've been told that polishing aluminum increases heat retention, as the small "membranes" from casting act as a sort of heat sink. This is why it's bad to polish brake calipers, etc. Would this be beneficial on a turbo? It would increase scavenging right?
  4. That thing looks like an early 90s supra to me. The rear flares look good, but I don't know about those firebird headlights...
  5. It seems to me that he was very American; What works for me is good, but if what works for you is different, well, you must be wrong. He could have been a little bit more diplomatic, maybe entered into some friendly, HZ style banter and discussion. At least he didn't call you dirty names. Question: Do purists consider Bob Sharpe a bad person? What about BRE? What about factor Nissan racing? Hey Mat, nice sig. I feel so honored.
  6. Would wet sanding and shooting it a couple coats of clear with an HVLP help? It will probably glare across the top, but you could shoot a layer or something else across that, kinda like a dashmat. It looks cool to me.
  7. Why not just put a stock style fiberglass air dam on the front?
  8. That paint is sweet! Seriously, I would totally sport that car. I hate the G-Nose though. Can you convert them back to regular fairly easily? Definately gotta sport the white suit with hot pink t-shirt when cruisin' for betties though.
  9. I think the reason he's done so well in the stunt industry, other than being very talented, is that car. I know it gave ME a woody the first time I saw it.
  10. Actually, I'm not sure if the fenders and grill are glass, but the hood with scoop is. It's all Dzus fastened together... I just assumed.
  11. My dad had a 74 Vega Wagon on an Alston frame with a 410 Chevy. Ran 10.90s like a swiss watch. Long story short, I just sold the rolling chassis with the 9" Ford rear end and Mustang II front for $1000. Anyone in the area need a fiberglass front clip? Free?
  12. Shoot, wish I'd noticed this thread three weeks ago when I had some cash. Maybe I can sell someone my overly loose toleranced motor for $62.
  13. Happened across this ad just now, he says it runs. Here's a link to the ad and two pictures. Auburn is in the Sacramento Area for those that don't know. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/166222530.html Carl
  14. I've been looking at a job in GA lately, and, while I hate the humidity, the northern Atlanta area is starting to look really nice.
  15. Oh, I feel stupid, but at least I'm not as stupid as anyone who would do something like that. And people hate us for stealing powerplants et al.
  16. I'm guessing they had one parade and asked him to build a couple vehicles for it. When he got shot at during the parade, he decided it was time to sell off the car and truck. I don't think Texans take too kindly to fruity vehicles. It is after all the home of the longhorn hood ornament on Cadillacs. Oh, it's a 79, not a 69. But ANY corvette doesn't deserve that.
  17. I was going to BRE stripe my white toyota pickup that I used to have, even though it wasn't a Datsun. If I'd known about the Rustoleum, I probably would have.
  18. I'm just all over those wheels. ...It gives me the impulse to create something ultra smooth to prove that I'm actually capable and then do something ridiculously hideous just so I can get noticed. Maybe he has some rad ride hidden in the back woods next to his still.
  19. Check this out, by the same seller as had the pimpmobile Chevy truck. I wonder if maybe he's colorblind or something... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4637021560&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr2_PcY_BID_IT
  20. Wish I could say that, it'd be worth to have BEEN to the Nurburgring and be at speed.
  21. The shocker has come to more prominent exposure recently becuase of the comedien Dane Cook using it in his stand-up routine. You can also find it on t-shirts now. I wish I'd started making them five years ago when I first found out about it, but then again, who would have thought a bumper sticker with a smiley face would make millions, or a rock that was your pet... That video is pretty funny though.
  22. Looks like the camber plates need some adjusting on that Camaro. Haha
  23. I used to live in the middle of what was becoming a new housing development. Once I discovered that the security guys couldn't really do anything to me, I terrorized the dirt roads in my 280. It was hell on the car though- stock suspension, 40 series tires on 15s (long story) and a surface that changed on a daily basis. Made for some good blogging though.
