  1. This makes no sense to me, and I actually feel kind of offended for some reason. Also, it's a good idea to read the FAQs and then to introduce yourself in the newbies section for your first post. That being said, the nickeldime looks pretty cool.
  2. Veritech, I went and saw Pirates of the Carribean last night. There was a Pre-Preview for a new movie. TRANSFORMERS. But then again, I bet you already knew about it.
  3. Drove a V6 06 mustang last week, rental car. Was surprised at how much power it had for as big, ugly, and v6ish it was. Returned it minus .8 and .9 rear tires and minus .6 on both fronts. I guess that parking lot area that I was teaching in must have had some sort of chemical on it. Anyway, I had the thing for almost a week, but becuase of the way the side glass is, when you shoulder check, the roof support beam appears to be a car that's sitting in your blind sport. The mirrors proved that there wasn't, but I could never trust them becuase I'm a habitual shoulder check and that beam would throw me off every time.
  4. Right, the year one stuff is GM certified, but that's only becuase Year One did such a grea job and GM wanted a piece of the pie.
  5. I tried to keep my mouth shut, but... Ever heard of a power to weight ratio?
  6. Nice work, Veritech. I gotta say, I was pretty skeptical at first too. But it looks pretty tough. Very WRC.
  7. I can show you lots of rust on both of my CA Zs. And a couple of bent up frame rails, but that's a different thread.
  8. This isn't as good as yours, but here's a lost episode teaser for a music video. http://www.grapheine.com/bombaytv/v2/play.php?id=19972
  9. Man, no love for the XLR. Is this a really old guy car or something? I'm almost 25 and I think they're sweet.
  10. OMGWTFROTFLMMFAO! You have no idea how true that is! I bet it's true for most of the active posters on here too.
  11. Oooh, mr smart guy, amaze us with your internet savvines! Haha.
  12. No, that's the thing, I always find your advice to be right, or if I don't get to find out for myself, it at least SOUNDS right and is easy to understand.
  13. Gotta get some chicks in the next episode.
  14. So a little quick addition shows that's he's cost your dad's company over $40,000 already. Wouldn't it be cheaper to fire his pathetic butt and give him, oh, I dunno, $5000 severance pay? This is why I am self employed, I work with myself, and those that I chose to work with. I used to work for Cycle Gear, a motorcycle parts and access retailer. I was with them for about six years. Early on, when I was an assistant manager, I helped hire and interview another guy to be a second assistant. If I had known what a dick he was, I would have blackballed him from the start. He counteracted everything I told someone to do, and he was even rude to customers. One time someone had come in eating some fast food and finished it while in the store. The customer asked if we could throw away the bag and wrapper for them. He said, "actually, no, we don't want any stinky food in here, but there's a dumpster outside at the end of the parking lot, you can just throw it in there." I about died. The customer stared at him, looked over at me, turned on his heel and left. I bitched him out good for that one.
  15. Grumpy, do you have a cheat sheet you work off of when giving us advice on here, or are you just pulling specs, numbers, and the like out of... thin air?
  16. Those pedals would be sweeeet mull. Yeah, the hook is so you can close the throttle should you break a return spring.
  17. Who's gonna give me loan huh? AHHHahahaha
  18. If you want to guage interest, start a new thread. I think you'll find that a lot more people will read it, and that you will get a lot of interested parties. I can't afford them, but if I could, I would be.
  19. Guys, you're not listening. The GT40 is a MID ENGINED CAR! That means, that the engine is mounted between the front and rear axles. 99% of the time, as in the case of the GT40, that means it's behind the driver. This is done for weight distribution. It doesn't matter if you put a 2000HP motor in the engine bay. If it adds 700 pounds to the front of the car (in front of the driver, set over the front wheels) it's going to handle like crapola! Listen to Scottie, he's been there, done that, and his car will annihilate yours. s3079893, Maxtor said at the beginning that he didn't want to do any modification of the engine compartment unless absolutely necessary. Pushing the firewall back SEVERAL inches to regain the proper 52/48 weight distribution ratio that a Z has would be expensive, time consuming, and or pointless. Maxtor, if you're interested in Fords in a Z, do a search for BlueovalZ in the members section and read a few of his posts. He has a very nice Z with a Ford swap.
  20. I voted for the XLR. It's a familiar platform, will probably be familiar, plenty of power available and more easily accessible if you want it later on. I chose the XLR as a DAILY driver because it's a Caddie. The CLK would also make a nice driver, but it doesn't have the sexiness that the Cadillac has. (Thought I'd never call a caddy sexy.) You don't see many XLRs, at least up here in Sac, and you see a lot of CLKs. It's probably cheaper to maintain/repair/upgrade as well. Vipers look sweet, but they don't really handle as well as people think. Porsche's handle very nice, but it's totally different than anything else. M3? What are you kidding me? Talk about a step backwards. GT500, slow, heavy, huge, masculine looking.
  21. That's the best replica that I've seen of the countach by a landslide. It's definately a Fiero, the interior is the same, but he must have done some serious work to make it look completely to scale and not shortened like most of those kits.
  22. I like the way the 350 looks MUCH more than that sketch. It's too european. I love exotics, but that thing just looks... amateur.
  23. No one gets hassled. Police officers always do the right thing. That is called doing their job. They are perfect model citizens and you should all raise your children to look up to them. . And that being said, I love cops, they make me feel like I actually know how to drive. I know they can't shoot me, and if they tried, I know that they can't hit and side of a barn. Getting harrassed while driving is no different than having people think you don't know what you're talking about when you're a teenager. It takes one bad apple to spoil the whole pie... or something like that. It takes one bad injector to foul the whole motor.
