Its an HP system. And yes, it monitors it, but there isnt a safety tied to it. Easy. Things will actually run for quite a while without any oil at all in them.

Yeah, left on 6# boost, 1.47 short time. Sloshed the oil in the pan, (was about 1/2qt low) and cavitated the whole pass at 16psi. Killed a rod bearing I believe. Oh well, we made the week! New motor is lined up, and should be in within a week or so.

Best way to do it is a 4 link. This will require a back-half of the frame rails. Its all about your skill level. Have you ever done any fabrication?

Eventually it will get some paint. For the time being, it will be primer I believe. Datsun bed wasn't that hard to find. Craigslist has several. The hard part was finding one without rust! This truck was from AZ.

Worked on this a few hours saturday. Everything clearanced for the new frame I 45'd the rear joints, so there wouldn't be any open points to the frame. On the front "A" I did 22.5 degrees on both pieces where the straight meets the angle. Then a 45 where the angle meets the tongue. Out for squaring and welding The shop help approves! Back in for final fit. There are still a couple braces to be welded in, but its mostly done. The axle will be here today, so more to come on this. I've decided on the wheels as well. Just some cheap steelies that will match the draglites.

Worked on this a little last night. I bought all the steel for the frame - 4 x 10' sticks of 2" x 2" x 14ga Started mocking up where I was going to put them Clearance for 1 of the rails. Hopefully have the frame finished this weekend, and have it ready for the axle and paint..

FWIW, my IATs while cruising are around 10 degrees over ambient. They don't climb too crazy either under boost. I'm sure I would benefit from a CAI of some kind, but mine pulls from the bay and seems to do OK.

Just the box... Maybe 200#? My 120# gf can lift half, for what thats worth lol. I won't. I'll lock up what isn't bolted down. Look a little closer.... there isn't an axle in it. Haven't visited this thread in a while. The trailer sat for a year, but I'm about to hit it hard again with drag week looming in 3 weeks. Pulled the box off it this weekend, and started measuring for the axle, frame, and rolling stock. This is very close to the ride height that it will be. For reference, the top of the bed is 33" off the ground

It doesn't dump the belt. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with killing the tires and hitting the limiter. Interestingly enough, three turbo ls cars here locally had the exact issue, which was fixed by a billet tensioner. The stock tensioner looks, and functions fine, but I believe it was allowing the belt to dance, and eventually work itself off and shred, thus taking everything along the radius of the pullies with it.

Yeah. Several of the cars that went out in the first two rounds of the MCD event were with us.

I've got a total of about 6 passes in full race trim. Boost by gear is amazing. I'll try to hunt down some video and share it. Car goes in for the cage in about 10 days. Shortly thereafter there will be some shake-down passes (I hope) and soon after will be Drag Week. Goal is to average in the 9's on drag week, but unless I get my NHRA license, I'll be limited to turning in 10.0 + slips, even if the car is tech'd for faster.

I'd re-evaluate using a stock tensioner. Mine left me stranded not once but twice, from chucking the belt. Installed a billet one from CBM and its been fine ever since! Just a heads up.

In due time. Its absurd on street tires. I can roll into it in 4th and it just blows them off when the boost hits. It was turning the slicks when I hit third as well. (thats when I upped from 15 to 18#) I haven't been to 20 yet. YET.

I've said it before: You're asking to get stranded with U-joint half shafts. There, now I can go on with my day and start to approach 20# in my car.... Because that in NO WAY is asking for failure

Nope. Its just mild. Just drive it often enough to not let the condensation turn to rust! Its not a large concern of mine. I'm more worried about the internals of the engine going through the turbo.

How much did the whole AC deal set you back?

Not yet. Hoping to get kicked out for running single digits. Car makes more power on this boost level than it did on spray last year, for sure. Should just be the driver mod from singles.

Well, that 60' is pretty lazy. He'd be in the low low 9's if it was down where I'd expect it. Is this all off the foot brake? Are you leaving in boost? What kind of AFR's and timing are you running?
